Reviews for Das Hotel Sherlock Holmes
Review 1:Limit to one egg at breakfast, per guest, seemed a bit stingy. Rooms aren't very soundproof.
Review 2:view of mountain from room, balcony, and proximity to gondola
Review 3:The trains to meringen don't run till late so you have to be aware of the train schedules.
Review 4:The staff was amazing. The location and proximity to train station is very good.
Review 5:Uncomfortable, squeaky beds. Dated decor. No free wi-fi. Limited breakfast - ridiculous 1 boiled egg per person regulation, which takes 20 minutes.
Review 6:Amazing view, good size room with balcony
Review 7:The dining room was a bit noisy at times because a lot of coach trips use the hotel and restaurant. The evening meal took a long time to be served and was quite expensive
Review 8:The friendly staff and great location. Very useful having a car park even if we had to pay. The evening meal we had for my father's birthday was lovely and a birthday cake was made for him at my request.
Review 9:Limited breakfast considering cost of hotel - high extra charges for virtually everything, such as parking, wifi, dog and hot breakfast options.
Review 10:The location - the Reichenbach falls - sauna.
Review 11:breakfast is weak.same everyday.eggs not included.most if not all meat are from pigs.so moslems or jows can't eat it.matress not comfortable
Review 12:next to a river and a water fall.also there is a small park for kids, telefreqe
Review 13:Felt very dated with no character, bit like a 70's tower block. Had to park in local pay and display over the road and get up before 8 to get a ticket. No free wifi despite being expensive hotel. Not worth the money.
Review 14:Views of the mountains. Close to waterfalls.
Review 15:Staff was good. But owner was worst. Expensive than real, no hot water jug and refrige in room. So high price wi-fi. I felt so business like( not kind and warm). NOT recommended.
Review 16:It is really expensive for a e stars hotel and just self service breakfast; the Sherlock Holmes theme isn't well carried (just some logos here and there); the staff is friendly and helpful but they should speak English at least; the sauna was off on our whole stay.
Review 17:Very nice Sherlock Holmes themes, good position, good breakfast, nice pool
Review 18:Facilities very bad and breakfast very poor

Review 29:old bed ( expensive for three stars!
Review 30:Location, breakfast, service.
Review 31:Wifi, Value for money.
Review 32:Location. Food.
Review 33:the staff was rather...well unfriendly. I do not know if it is the language barrier - we are French speaking Swiss - or the rather very down to earth attitude of our Swiss German speaking compatriots - the overall feeling was that we were disturbing them all the time.
Review 34:clean, well located and quiet, not far from major sites, Interlaken, Ballenberg, Holmes water fall
Review 35:The beds were a little on the hard side, but this was common throughout our European holiday.
Review 36:The family room was a good size and very clean. The hotel had a good play room and ping pong table for the children and a pool, which was great after a day out. They also had allocated parking for a small fee. The hotel staff were fabulous, in providing excellent customer service and recommendations on local attractions. We loved the Brienz-Rothorn Railway and the ziplining at Grindelwald was excellent. The breakfast was excellent.
Review 37:Rooms a bit on the small side but well appointed. Quite expensive but then again so was everywhere else in this area.
Review 38:Friendly helpful staff, clean rooms, lots of hot water, brilliant views especially rooms with balcony. Indoor pool was good but only 10m.
Review 39:Since the hotel was so inexpensive, I expected it to be somewhat rundown and ugly, but it was really beautiful, and the Sherlock Holmes theme was incredibly cute.
Review 40:Sauna is very small for the such kind of hotel.
