Reviews for Auberge les Trois Soeurs
Review 1:This is a motel not an inn - which was fine but the name is a bit misleading. The reception is in a grand home but the rooms are in 3 motel like structures. The rooms are nothing fancy - basic needs are met and they are clean, well kept and functional. Our room was sparsely furnished but had the best bedside reading lamps of the 8 places we stayed at in the Gaspe. The reception staff was very friendly and helpful and interested in our travels. The strength of this place is its location right on the water, with a beach, and with a great view of the back end of The Rock. There are very inviting chairs set near the water for relaxing. We enjoyed our morning coffee in these inviting white chairs.
Review 2:The location of this motel is spectacular- a view of Perce Rock from the yard and walking distance to town shops and restaurants. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Rooms were large, comfortable and clean.
Review 3:This property is getting tired (at least in the room we were given) You could hear the people talking in the next room. The toilet did not flush properly. We ate,Pete to leave and they refused, because our booking was with you. They gave us another room which was much better. We would not return there and not recommend to anyone.
Review 4:The view was awesome.
Review 5:I was disappointed in the higher priced "ocean view" room. I expected our room to be larger and directly facing the ocean but it was quite small and mainly overlooking the parking lot with a diagonal ocean view from the shared 2nd floor walkway. Not a private balcony, (other guests walk by directly in front of the window and other rooms were facing us from across the parking lot) so we could not leave our curtain open to enjoy the view without losing privacy! And we could only view the rock from a side angle. The small room was very hot and stuffy upon arrival (air conditioner was not running until we started it and didn't cool the room very much.). The condition of the balcony floor was not good. Very warped and rough particle board. Also, each time that you turned on the main room light switch, there was an extremely loud momentary screech of what seemed to be the smoke alarm! Strange. We discovered too late that another hotel nearby was quite a bit less expensive. Our room was clean and OK for a place to sleep for one night, but, despite the friendly staff, we consider it to be over-priced and would probably not stay there again.
Review 6:The room was clean. Bathroom was clean with a new-looking tub/shower unit. Staff was friendly.
Review 7:The decor is quite dated.
Review 8:Staff were really friendly, happy to help us in either English or French. Muskoka chairs looking out onto the rock were a real bonus, we enjoyed an evening drink out there with other travellers.
Review 9:The WiFi always had poor connection so we couldn't use our laptop for movies, I find for what we paid for we didn't get very much. There's no breakfast included as well. I thought it wasn't as family friendly as I thought it would have been.
Review 10:The view was amazing and the beach was basically private so we got to enjoy going to the without the hassle of going a little further.
Review 11:Overall this motel/hotel is fine. It needed a hair dryer, a clock or clock radio which is easily doable. The room needed a bit more space, but that would be impossible to do because one cannot move walls.
Review 12:Everything was OK and very clean, but it is a motel/hotel complex of the older style, so it lacked a bit of what one is now used to: like a large vanity in the bathroom, a separate table/desk and chairs, hair dryer, and clock or clock radio and just a bit more space. But it was comfortable, clean, convenient and well taken care of. It had washers and dryers which is a big plus. Another big plus was that the property had a very nice grassy sitting area, equipped with chairs, overlooking the gulf and Perce rock, and this provided a very nice spot to enjoy an afternoon/evening glass of wine.
Review 13:Great location. Convenient to everything and great view of Perce Rock from the rooms. Great value for money. Very clean. Only problem--- thin walls. Can hear shower, babies crying next room.
Review 14:View. Location. Facility very clean.
Review 15:There was no breakfast or dinner available as the restaurant was not yet open for the season. The wi-fi kept dropping out and there is nothing wrong with my tablet.
Review 16:The view & location.
Review 17:A few very small improvements would have made a big difference to the room such as a few hooks in the bathroom and a much larger waste bin.the steps up from the car park to our accommodation block were uneven so a little tricky when carrying luggage
Review 18:We had an end corner room overlooking the beach and bay so the views were superb. The room was a good size with comfortable bed, and plenty of parking nearby.
Review 19:This is a traditional motor inn. It is simple but has everything: refrigerator, coffee maker, AC, good water pressure in the shower, and an outstanding view! Additionally, it is located within walking distance to downtown. We enjoyed sipping wine while sitting in white adirondack chairs on the lawn overlooking the sea and Perce Rock. It is affordable and clean. I would definitely recommend staying here--just make sure to ask for a room with a view!
Review 20:Could get only one TV channel in English (couldn't get ball game) Small bathroom
Review 21:View of perce rock from room Could walk to main street for restaurants and boat trips Excellent salmon supper at restaurant but too expensive to eat there again.(They do offer a special for $95. for supper and breakfast the next day(with limitations) and we should have taken the offer). Bench on deck (second floor) and several places to sit on property to look at the sea and Perce Rock. Free Wifi Peaceful setting
Review 22:the place to go to make sure you have no surprise. nicely located in a quiet place 20mns walk from Percé where all the stores and restaurants are… quiet, clean.
Review 23:The beds were hard, and the rooms could use some upgrading.
Review 24:Excellent location to see the ROCK, only motel on the strip that you had access to walk on the beach from. Was also walking distance to downtown.
Review 25:Room was very nice and comfortable but sparse.
Review 26:Location, beach, outdoor lounging area, Matilde's Restaurant, proximity to town and especially Debbie in Reception all made for a superb experience.
Review 27:Be carefull when you book your room ... Half of the motel has aircondition and the other doesn't. Lucky for us ours did!
Review 28:Bedroom was clean and had everything we needed including bathrobes. Close to center of the city (15/20 minutes walk).
Review 29:The location. Great view! Had an unrestricted view of the total lunar eclipse.
Review 30:The setting was beautiful. We had a first rate view of the rock.
Review 31:the view on the water and the rocher Percer
Review 32:The beach is not of sand but covered with small rocks ; a bit uncomfortable under the feet.
Review 33:Excellent location and the view was superb !
Review 34:Springy bed. Little or no sound proofing. Can hear everything.
Review 35:Great location! Right on beach.
Review 36:The TV and unable to connect to wifi
Review 37:Possible screen door for fresh airs
Review 38:Location ,view , service overall great place
Review 39:"Free breakfast" was a chit for less than half for two people.
Review 40:Gorgeous lawn area on the bay overlooking Pierced Rock.
Review 41:we were in room 65 and there was only one chair. The weather was lousy but theres nothing you can do about that!!
Review 42:Very nice room with a view. Walk to everything.
Review 43:Small room and sparse furnishings. Ancient TV (CRT). In room fridge was extremely small. Renovations going on during our stay.
Review 44:Location & price.
Review 45:Motel bien situé, face à la mer et au rocher
Review 46:location, updated room with lovely view. It is a motel, not an Inn but had a very cozy personable feeling and we loved it
Review 47:Stairs toofar, motel paperboard walls, breakfeast expensive!
Review 48:The view
Review 49:towels not completely dried out (smells)
Review 50:the view
Review 51:Location is great. Large, clean comfortable room.
Review 52:Very good view inside or outside the room. Good package breakfast for two.
Review 53:What we liked is that it was quiet. The view was very enjoyable.
Review 54:they call it "auberge", but on my opinion it is just a motel.
Review 55:Location
Review 56:First of all it was NOT an Auberge, it was a motel. Even their signage says motel even though their website and header on their paperwork indicates Auberge. You can hear your neighbours above and beside. Staff at the front desk did not inform us of all the local activities, only those that they sold tickets for....disappointing.
Review 57:View of Rocher Percé. Breakfast at their restaurant was good. The area is beautiful.
Review 58:No breakfast included in the price, but that can be also a good thing because when you pay, you usually get better breakfast than standard Canadian motel type.
Review 59:Location, most rooms have view of the rock. Easy access from main road, ample parking, well looked after motel. Our bathroom was nicely refurbished.
Review 60:Over priced, poor room location when no one in hotel. Garbage in the lot
Review 61:The view from the yard to the rock, good bed
Review 62:Nothing.
Review 63:View from the garden. The restaurant, Le Maison Mathilde, is recommendable, we also had a very nice table looking at the beach.
Review 64:no hot water on our second morning
Review 65:great location. chairs by the ocean terrace. if you are lucky you can see whales
Review 66:The view was beautiful and everything was within walking distance of the hotel.
Review 67:That they gave us their very best room with a view and the rate was super reasonable.
