Reviews for Hotel de Ville
Review 1:Town centre location near the train station and a good restaurant just across the square. Well kept, welcoming and friendly. The manager speaks perfect English which helps.
Review 2:I had an overnight stay in Château-d'Oex, so that I can have an easy access to gstaad, saneen & montreux, and I am glad that I choose hotel deals ville, its good value for money, the staff is amazing especially Debbie she was a nice welcoming lady and I just felt like home. If I ever visit Switzerland again. This will be the place I will stay and recommend to all.
Review 3:The walls need to be painted, the carpet in the corridor should be replaced
Review 4:Very nice personnel, great location in the heart of the small village, quite big rooms and bathrooms.
Review 5:The wifi was a little slow in my room but fine downstairs in the breakfast room/lounge!
Review 6:The best part of the stay was the friendliness and competance of the Manager, Debbie! She couldn't do enough to be hospitable! The breakfast was excellent and all drinks (non-alcoholic) and fruit are available free throughout the day!
Review 7:The town closed in the afternoon and then early evening. Will have to adjust for tourists.
Review 8:The location was right in the center of town and we could walk everywhere.
Review 9:Very friendly receptionist, very convenient and nice setting in the centre of the little village just above a couple of restaurants with a nice terrasse. Great for enjoying a beer and dinner in the summer sunset!
Review 10:Cleanliness could've been better. There was a stain on the carpet near the window area (might've have been from rain or something else spilled there). The room itself was a little shabby as well
Review 11:Staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast area was nice and cozy looking. Wifi was good too
Review 12:Internet was bad and was not able to connect at all
Review 13:Room Location, Sound Proofing, Infant friendly atmosphere, Crib(Cot), Living / Resting Area & Lots of Freebies like snacks & drinks
Review 14:clean rooms, friendly staff and comfortable beds. I also liked the complementary beverages during the day and nice room with a couch to relax in with the family.
Review 15:Fantastic staff, excellent location (both for Château d'Oex and the nearby skiing, great value for money, nice breakfast. Complementary tea, coffee & fruit available any time.
Review 16:The breakfast on the first morning was very basic and just left out for us. I think we were the only guests. They don't have any kitchen at the hotel and, therefore, no cooked items. On the second morning there were coked meats and boiled eggs left out, which was a bit better.
Review 17:Some of the staff were very helpful - especially the British woman. Others were friendly but not much in evidence. The room was very clean and comfortable although quite small. The bar downstairs was quite lively in the evening, although more of a locals place than the hotel bar. To use the lounge area you had to switch the lights on - not very welcoming and comfortable.
Review 18:The Wi-FI is not very receptive, as the signals kept on dropping, in our room. So people who plan to stay connected during their stay, might need to check the Wi-Fi strength.
Review 19:The hotel is located in the right spot, with all the main attractions stone's throw-away. The restaurants, Information office, Station are all reachable in a minute's walk. The Hotel staff was friendly and welcoming. The stay was cozy, and breakfast buffet, though limited is nice.
Review 20:Misleading about restaurant as it is across the road and not on site. But not really an issue, just a pointer.
Review 21:A friendly welcome, good breakfast. Nothing seemed too much of a problem for the staff to help or be courteous. Can't complain about the noise from the bar as mostly the site is used for holidays, so why complain? Easy to find with good food nearby.
Review 22:The hotel is in a great location for hikes and in the center of the town. The room was comfortable. The staff was very friendly and took my gluten-free diet into account for the breakfast, which I appreciate a lot.
Review 23:The staff were brilliant, happy to put aside an early breakfast before our hot air balloon flight. They have hot drinks available any time you just help yourself. Nice clean rooms
Review 24:The room location was above the bar thus was loud til later at night.
Review 25:The room was comfortable and the breakfast was great! And the location was perfect - right in the middle of town.
Review 26:This was our second visit to this hotel. We don't usually repeat hotels, but this one is too good. The hotel was very kind to let us have a very late check-in. All was in order, and even a midnight snack was laid on. Fantastic. Nothing beats the view from the hotel. Total Swiss experience.

Review 52:central location helpful staffs
Review 53:Nothing.
Review 54:The staff were very friendly, the restaurant next door was delicious. Breakfast was good. Bike store great. Location excellent.
Review 55:The only criticisms: no iron available for use by guests. Demi pension status entitled us to an evening meal of 4 courses, soup or salad, main meal (fixed by chef), plate of 3 cheeses, and a sweet. This was too much food, so after a few days we asked for only 2 courses.
Review 56:En suite bathroom and excellent shower. Able to borrow a hair dryer for the week. Availability of tea, coffee, fruit and biscuits in the lounge at all times. TV in the room, but an enormous one in the lounge, if needed. Clean bed linen and towels, no more than clean, spotless linen and towels and flannels. Free shower gel, soap and shower cap. Mini fridge for keeping our drinks, cheese, etc cool. Excellent breakfasts, and good times for breakfast. Able to be given demi pension status for us to have evening meal in the Brasserie L' Ours.
Review 57:Nothing, it was all great.
Review 58:Fab breakfast, friendly staff, spotlessly clean, beautiful valley, right in the centre of the town and 2 minutes from the station, great food at the Brasserie De L'Ours across the street.

Review 61:The location was excellent in the centre of this beautiful village. We were travelling with a 15 month old baby and the staff were very helpful and accommodating. The breakfast was beautiful and complimentary tea, coffee, fruit is available throughout the day. There were comfortable lounges and games for children, quite a homely setting.
Review 62:I had a value deal but it would have been nice to have been upgraded to a south facing mountain view room as there were v few other guests. No english channel tv was available when I stayed.
Review 63:Friendly staff, convenient for the station.Clean, reasonable shower.
Review 64:The bit of noise in the Bar around the corner
Review 65:Almost every thing especially the location, the staff, the free coffee and tee and fruit, and the free parking
Review 66:A bit noisy when there is a concert at the bar just underneath the hotel. Did not disturb me, but for some it may be an annoyance.
Review 67:Perfectly located in the middle of the village, meters away from Tourism office, train station etc...
Review 68:rooms were comfortable but could use a lick of paint and some carpets replacing but merely cosmetic.
Review 69:Friendly staff - good food at the brasserie. No kettles in room but common room with free fruit, tea and coffee always open, and hairdryers offered upon check in. It's a small hotel (12 rooms only) but good value during the balloon festival which we were there for.
Review 70:Beds not the most comfy we've slept in but fine for a short break.
Review 71:Very friendly staff and very central location. Lively bar below the hotel but we weren't affected by noise on the second floor. Great restaurant they own over the road also. Not luxurious but good value for short breaks.
Review 72:The music from the pub downstairs can be a bit loud for the rooms on the 1st floor.
Review 73:Nice staff, good breakfast, cute room, perfect location, great common room available anytime with free tea-coffee and fruits, games, TV, etc...
Review 74:Cold bathroom floor
Review 75:Excellent location in the center of the village, within walking distance to the railway station, shops and restaurants. Very friendly staff. Cosy atmosphere. We really felt at home thanks to the availability of the lounge around the clock. Excellent Swiss breakfast (the croissants are delicious). Neat, clean, quiet rooms. We were not disturbed by the bar on the ground floor as some reviewers mentioned, because we were there off season. Evenings and nights were totally silent. Very good value for money thanks to a special week-day promotion. Highly recommend. Will definitely stay there again.
