Reviews for Telal Resort
Review 1:Beautiful rooms, great food and great desert location close to Abu Dhabi. Lots of great activities for kids (mainly 8+) with more promised. A real gem.
Review 2:More Activity needed to be added for small children Some trees have sharp needles and need to be isolated from children for safety reason.
Review 3:The combination between the heritage style of the place and five star hotel service The quietness of the place The two bedrooms heritage sweet size is excellent
Review 4:we loved everything
Review 5:It was amazing time for all of us (me, hubby, my parents).i was little bit worried at the very begining as reviews of Telal resort doesnt really give a full understanding. In fact, it was truly great experience and zero complains.Staff super nice, but not annoying as in some 5stars hotels.One-bedroom villa was clean, unique safari design (we saw similar only in African safari lodges) and beautiful view of sands and sky.Buffet was not much chioce, but more than enough to feel yourself and quality of food and coffee is very good. Many outdooor actuvities like hirse/camel riding, cycling and many other.we have tried all desert safari in UAE and i must say Telal is our fav.I just cant wait to come back there.
Review 6:If you want to stay at a quiet resort where you can enjoy the simplicity of nature from star gazing to desert walking Telal resort is the perfect place to go. With the beautiful sand dunes and the clear sky at night there isn’t much more you can ask for when in search of a relaxing vacation Telal resort does offer a little bit extra — including fat biking, horse and camel riding, fire camping and sand boarding and beside that they offer you two free complementary activities with your stay. We had a great time there and what makes Telal Resort even more comforting is the Welcome and hospitality we received from the staff Excellent Staff and hospitality. I definitely recommend staying at this resort, it will be an experience of a life time.
Review 7:They don't make shisha, it's not a good thing because the place is really beautiful, surrounded by the desert and it would be nice also to have this service.
Review 8:Nothing!
Review 9:It was great resort and great experience for me and my mother. Outside of my room was private desert and I could see sunrise over the sand dune. Staffs are so kind and helfpul, Room is big and clean, comfortable, also they provide mini bar for free. I am planing to visit again with friends.
Review 10:Food at restaurant for breakfast is so bad. Phone operator with no answer most of the times. Delay on car collection from villas. Response to enquiry require you to call for reminders 3 times at least very time you need something
Review 11:Location and surrounding atmosphere
Review 12:The villa should add a few more amenties like a bigger fridge and a microwave
Review 13:The villa with the private pool is mind blowing. The staff is nice and courteous. The overall experience of the desert is just fabuolous.
Review 14:Staff is definitely not 5 star, lots of communication gaps, poor check in experience, pool not heated. We got lucky with the weather and on insistence got what we had signed on for without any extra charges, that were implied close to and on check in, so turned out to be decent value or the review would have been a lot worse.
Review 15:The resort is at a beautiful location, is well maintained and has interesting things to explore especially for young children but is not a 5 star resort.
Review 16:No bedroom privacy: People walking in front of your bedroom window sneaking to see inside. Master bedroom with only a shower, no bath. Airconditionning too noisy. Activities: Heritage village kind of empty and activities badly organized even when booked a long time ago Reception desk: useless, very bad services Only one restaurant at the hotel. The one of the village was closed.
Review 17:Great desert views! Wonderful pool area!
Review 18:There were noooo bad experiences.
Review 19:There so many wonderful activities that could be scheduled. Mohammed, DOR, was the absolute best in ensuring that the accomodations were of the best quality. The staff is very friendly and accomodating. Heritage Village gives an wonderful aspect of local traditions. Mohammed and Mustafa were the best for the safari. Very pleasant young men. The manager Saif, also very welcoming and frie dly. I will tell all that I know to come to this resort!!! I will definitely book again
Review 20:Not all activities available and disorganized even though we pre booked our activities. Bedroom not the one featured on the photos in the heritage village. Mattress and pillows hard. Bad wifi signal.
Review 21:Stunning scenery
Review 22:We had a very uncomfortable problem when first went to the villa. There was no water at all and we only discovered that after my husband went to the toilet and couldn't wash himself. There was no bidet also.
Review 23:I very much liked the different outdoor activities that we can do especially it is December, so the weather is very nice outside. The sand skating was very cool, was a little bit scary in the beginning for me. The archery was so much fun.
Review 24:Definitely, Nothing
Review 25:Hotel staff is amongst the best I have seen, kind, helpful and toughtful. We enjoyed the camel ride a lot. Rooms, decoration... everything was great. The view of traquility from our window was impressive. We want to be there again with the first opportunity.
Review 26:Customer service need some improvement, i had to call three times to fix issue in the light. Swimming pool is not temperature control so it was bit cold and not suitable for young children.
Review 27:Fantastic location, backyard of the room had open desert while the front yard had a little form house. My kids love to play in desert.
Review 28:Two minor points: - our guide for the walk was new so he was not too knowledgeable (but he did say so right from the start) - It's a dry resort for the moment (no alcohol sold)
Review 29:Everything! from the setting - resort surrounded by sand dunes, to the room - we had a villa and this was very special -nice stone bath, separate rain shower, free minibar, "automatic" fire just outside the villa with comfy & panoramic sitting area outside; two the free activities - we did a 1-h camel sunset ride & morning walk the day after.
Review 30:The very noisy ATVs driving right next to our villa everyday, as well as the very noisy water truck early in the morning.
Review 31:A wonderful place!!!!! Fantastic!!!! Looking forward to visiting again!
Review 32:1. Only one Resturant, which needs some improvement. Food can improve. Resturant staff require more training. Service can be slow at times. 2. Small gym. Though there Are plans for expansion. 3. Nice but Small swimming pool.
Review 33:1.I loved the place in the middle of the desert away from the noise. Nice place to relax. 2. Amazing activities organised through the hotel especially the camel safari. I tried fishing, dune skiing, fat bike, giant ball rolling. My Thanks to the recreational team. they made us have some great times. 3. Comfortable accommodation. 4. Heritage Village with nice traditional souq. 5. Lovely staff. Very caring and attentive.
Review 34:The wait for picking up and dropping off from the villa but it's nice
Review 35:The pool is very unique service is brilliant Inna the receptionist made it a very special day and start for us, the rest of reception where very good Aswell helpful, they even didn't mind if stayed late, breakfast was nice, the evening food was sent to the room
Review 36:The Emergency light on the cieling had a bright green light which directly hits my eyes when sleeping , im glad that they took my comment positively and said they will work towards fixing it.
Review 37:Acitivities are free along with the stay all what was in the fridge was for free Room atmosphere and surrounding was great
Review 38:TV connection , Wi-Fi weak and Sandy solid road, but they will manage for you transfer internally .
Review 39:The reception was Superb and They care about you from you reach until you leave and you can check out late, it was amazing for staying in natural desert area ,The décor is a natural wood and statues of deer. Khaimah is designed beautifully advised to stay for a couple. There are a lot of activities can do during a private residence and hunting. There are not many people during breakfast, lunch and dinner like you are in king of place with all possible services be provided to you.
Review 40:you just feel to be in the desert with all comforts in this new resort. Very nice pool with "light effect" during night. Staff is exceptionally friendly and efficient. I strongly recommend it.
Review 41:- Bed, pillow - both extreme hard - night light on the ceiling over the bed- could not sleep at night, - was locked in my own bedroom as the door handle was broken and we could not open the door from the inside - the two bedrooms suites are actually in the Heritage Village, so you don't feel like you are in a 5-star hotel.... - avoid the barbecue: as long as the chef is working in the dark your meat will be dark too :-)...
Review 42:- Location, - Staff, - small hotel with lots of space around the villas - not crowded at all
Review 43:Transportation from the suite to the reception/restaurant/pool, service, long check in time, TV/internet not working, long wait to get anything done if we needed something in the room
Review 44:The setting, the desert around
Review 45:Not enough thing to do in the evening(hotel still not fully open) Way to many flies everywhere
Review 46:Amazing location, staff very friendly a bit of difficultie to comunicate but it was more than fine. Swimming pool is brilliant !!
Review 47:More trips to the desert (With check in available from only 1500, the 1600 trip is a bit of a squeeze) I'd recommend a Sunset trip, and Sunrise trip for those that want to get some nice photographs. Maybe a night trip too.
Review 48:Amazing location, peaceful and quiet, beautiful rooms, friendly and helpful staff.
Review 49:Number of staff is very little and check in and out is very complicated plus transportation is an issue , I got my bag after 4hours and stay 2 hours waiting a car for checkout
Review 50:New expirence and new location and it was clean hotel
Review 51:The set menu for the full board is very limited. Only 4 menus & if u're there for two days, it becomes really boring especially if you are the type that don't eat whatever comes to them
Review 52:Liked the place, the resort itself, the facilities & the luxurious rooms
Review 53:Air con in suites not good enough and power cut emergency light way too bright. Also we were pretty much the only people staying there.
Review 54:Fantastic location, brilliant staff and service and amazing decor. Desert safari really good.
Review 55:Over all the hotel is perfect, only due to the weather couldnt enjoy outside activities this time
Review 56:Everything was perfect.. the enviroment the staff.. I loved the experince of staying there and would defintly go for 2nd and 3rd time.
Review 57:Facilities are not 5 stars: Very small 1m deep swimming pool Single restaurant with poor selection The hotel is dry - no liquor... From your room to the "facilities" you have to travel by car! Or a golf car, which is worse - very hot, sand in your eyes etc. We were also explained that car cannot go fast as per the hotel rules. So your room service needs, food, ice, glasses are just so inconveniently slow and far away from you! Service is also very slow and inefficient because of this. Our party table with food and dirty dishes was there for entire night and the next day until 2pm not cleaned. Though our booking checkout time is 2pm, we were told to free the room before noon. If you come by a car, it will be parked outside on a sun without proper covered parking or at least a tent. Though the hotel is brand new, we had couple of issues in our bathroom with toilet and shower already. We have ordered a horse ride, being told that we will have a desert ride with an instructor. It ended with walking by the circle within the hotel on a leash. Went there because of the score on booking.com, which said 8.9 by the time and "Fabulous". I wouldn't recommend this hotel to a friend.
Review 58:The location itself is good in terms of the nature, sand dunes etc. Food quality was great. Staff was very pleasant, but not very professional.
Review 59:nothing, maybe just the pillow thats all!
Review 60:of all the resorts i've ever been to, this is the top of my list. i loved how original the place is to the point that there was no roads in the camp but sand dunes intead! the place is outstanding and really one of the best hotel experiences i've ever had in my life. the staff was incredibly friendly, from the room boy to the receptionist to the drivers. everyone was extremely friendly. the receptionist doli was very helpful at check in and took us for a quick round the facility and even gave us a complimentary at check out. i am definitly going back when i get the chance!
Review 61:Being away from the main hotel. Guests need to call member of staff to come to get you and take you to breakfast etc. found it very intrusive and would stop us booking there again.. Also very little, if anything, to do in the evenings.. No alcohol on the premises and no bar to relax in and meet fellow guests in the evening. Beautiful pool area. Could be a little difficult for guests with children.
Review 62:Very peaceful place and good if you just want to relax and chill out. Lovely staff members and extremely helpful. Nothing to much trouble.
Review 63:The seclusion, took visiting family there twice. Great and friendly staff... not driving your own car around resort takes some getting used to though...
Review 64:Front desk staff require a bit more English language training. No covered parking, which is not good at all for your car in the desert summer heat. Animals at 'The Farm' are on short leashes and should really be given more space to move around. Since the resort is not officially opened yet and was not full, I thought a room upgrade would have been offered in the interests of 'spreading the word.' However, the management were very inflexible about this and would only upgrade at substantial additional cost. I understand that upgrades should not be expected, but are definitely a good way of creating positive impressions about your establishment, especially when it is new and unknown.
Review 65:Staff are very friendly and helpful. The swimming pool is magical. Great attention to detail in the decor of rooms and public areas. Good quality amenities in the room. Excellent meals at the restaurant. Lovely 'chill out' music playing all around the resort. Very tranquil surroundings.
Review 66:Didn't like the heritage rooms not as high end as the village and the villas, there was nocfortabke seating in the room or on the terrace and and in the village I didn't like seeing the Salukis ties to a tree, they looked neglected long claws, the male hadn't been Neuted and the 2 night s we were there they were tied up in the same spot. The camel ride was dispointing a ride round the paddock they could do so much more with the camels. The full board menu was limited only 4 choices per Course bed and breakfast would have been better.
Review 67:The main building is amazing and the staff were very attentive, the food was also very good. The complimentary anniversary cake was lovely. The desert drive was also really good.
Review 68:The menu needs more options. The location is also quite hard to reach if you don't have a GPS with you.
Review 69:The staff is very courteous, friendly and extremely helpful. The ipad controlled lighting is amazing!
Review 70:The facility could do better by providing scheduled transportation to & from town. Cost of transportation from d resort to Al Ain is rather outrageous
Review 71:The quite, seren, peaceful atmosphere. Neatness & comfort of the the rooms. Staff: professional, warm & friendly.
Review 72:They need to add more activities as it will be boring if i decide to stay more. transportation using golf car within the resort is not practical.
Review 73:What i like most is the fishing activities in their lake. Perfect for kids. the interior doceration of the hotel is amazing.
Review 74:The resort is amazing, the staff is very kind and helpful, complimentary activites are good, and it's a very good value for money. Easy to find even if it is in the middle of the desert.
Review 75:We went during the soft opening so it is normal that the property stillneeds time to tweak everything:The pool is quite small for a property like this. Dinner was quite disappointing as we waited 1 hour to get our food, the steak was overcooked (when we asked for medium-rare), and the fish was under-cooked and fries were soggy. Breakfast was average considering the property is charging premium rates that compare to similar desert resort competing properties. And lastly, even though we absolutely loved our room, the A/C system was quite loud and intrusive. But i'm sure that given time, all these little details can be improved.
Review 76:The location is beautiful and staff is very friendly. The room we stayedin was very luxurious as well.
Review 77:The AC was difficult to adjust and some electronic devices in the room kept making some noise from their fans, green safety light could not be turned off in the bedroom
Review 78:Amazing pool and location in the middle of the desert, very peaceful and quiet, small maximum number of people makes you feel like you're alone well trained staff food was very good desert safari was great (and offered for free)
Review 79:The hotel has only been in operation for a few months and they still have work to do on their processes. I use booking.com a lot and I ordered a room for 1 adult and two kids. The conformation came back as 1 adult and 1 child and I wrote to the hotel and received a confirmation from them telling me everything was in order. When I checked in, and despite their confirmation, I had to pay an additional amount for the second child and the three of us had to share a king size bed. Small thing but not great.
Review 80:The location was beautiful and the facilities first class. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Review 81:The pool is too small and shallow and the bottom is not clean, you need a car or pick up to go to your room and to come back from the main building, the room and bathroom weren't really clean, check in was late 2 hours, the lunch took them 45 minute to bring to our table, I ordered oven baked chicken which was not marinated well and was too hard to cut and eat ! Didn't enjoy it at all! My husband ordered shrimps biryani but he had to give it back to them and not eating since the shrimps were not cleaned properly, fishing trip and view from room terrace were lovely and the staff were kind.
Review 82:Fishing
Review 83:The water pressure is low and the water is not hot. There is no alcohol service.
Review 84:Amazing accommodation. The staff are the friendliest staff I have ever met in any of our travels. They are extremely concerned about your stay and if they can assist you in any way. The Chef came to us twice to ask if the food was good. We did the full board options and the meals was amazing. Check-In was fast and everything went smooth. When you call reception they respond in a quick and professional manner. Amazing place - the best in the UAE
Review 85:Must visit again after Grand Opening to experience all the rest of the facilities which were unfinished yet.
Review 86:Stunning interior design and hotel's interiors! Unbelievably creative and detailed to perfection! Love everything about this luxury hunting lodge! Amazing heritage village ! Love the cultural message in Mejlis and natural reconstruction of a farm life -so down to earth experience. Food is just perfect!
Review 87:The concept is unique and the experience was amazing. The resort hotel is highly recommended for those who would like to be in touch with nature while having a relaxing time.
Review 88:Wifi signal strength, Room cordless phone not holding charge, Breakfast (no buffet), Rooms are far from Reception, All Reception staffs except charlie, mohan & Mani (looks very fresh to hotel industry), Check in very poor (took 1 hr - Doli), checkout baggage handling (organizing) & No Jacuzzi, Steam & Sauna facility.
Review 89:Private Desert safari (2hrs), small swimming pool, Camel Ride, Heritage concept rooms, luxury comfort, location very peaceful, security, checkout (quick), Late checkout provided.
Review 90:Greeting and organization on arrival disappointing. Some staff clearly do not seem to know what to do and how to present the resort. We were told what was not working rather than showing the positive aspects of it. Inconsistent information given regarding activities.
Review 91:The Villa in its setting is superb. Restaurant was excellent as was the service from Kay. Merhan particularly helpful.
Review 92:recommend management increase menu of activities
Review 93:the staff was really friendly and helpful in every way. The setting is amazing and even though they are still getting some things ready for the grand opening (minor construction works on site etc.) that did not bother us at all. Our guide also gave us a tour of the amazing desert villas. absolutely stunning. Next time..
Review 94:The location is great and the resort is just amazing. You have the feeling that you leave in a bedouin's village. Also, the hotel offers some free activities like camel riding and safari! The stuff is really friendly.
Review 95:The lake is a bit of an overkill. You're in the middle of the desert and the views of the dunes should really be enough. The birds in it didn't look too happy either. Check in and check out were a bit slow, but it was still the soft opening phase so I think the staff was just getting used to the process.
Review 96:The location is brilliant: in the middle of the desert, in between the dunes, away from the humidity! The furniture is stunning and very comfortable. The seating area outside has a fireplace which will be great in winter. Food was good, which is important because you don't really have any alternatives due to the location.
Review 97:The service is top notch and the team is very helpful and friendly. The food - prepared by Chef Sabri - is just excellent. All in all it was an excellent experience.
Review 98:Nothing, my stay was fantastic.
Review 99:Everything, friendly staff, comfort, ambiance very relaxing. I especially loved the infinity pool when it was dark and the sparkling lights could be seen dancing in the water, it was so romantic. I had a fantastic time and shall be staying again very soon.
Review 100:Very nice and professional staff, high privacy and a fantastic view from the room, which is integrated into a beautifully recreated Heritage Village surrounded by a picturesque landscape. A very memorable experience.
Review 101:In general the room and the bathroom were clean, but the different nooks, like where the A/C sits and the space behind the closet do not receive enough maintenance, so dust accumulates and it's blown around the room when the A/C is working.
Review 102:First. The Staff: People working in the hotel are very helpful and polite. There is always someone offering help for anything. I'm greatly impressed with every employee's attitude towards the customers. I also loved the ride to the Natural Reserve, right next to the Property area. Very informative. I liked the conservationist approach of the trail. Spot on. Food is great: The breakfast is excellent and Iftar in the restaurant was very good as well.
Review 103:The lack of information on arrival, particularly that the accommodation was a long way from the reception, a map of the resort showing the location of facilities would be very helpful. We recognise that Ramadan impacts on activities but this should have been pointed out on arrival e.g. expectation that the souk would be open but this did not eventuate. The wifi was weak in the village.
Review 104:The accommodation was close to sand dunes and the standard of the accommodation was good. The breakfast was great.
Review 105:Heat of summer, Distance between facilities, No horse riding, no other entertainment options
Review 106:Amazing room and facilities. Good furniture, view, bathroom, camel ride, souk, live farm.
Review 107:The water pressure in the villa was not enough to fill the bathtub, the heritage shops were not open
Review 108:A long week trip to Telal Resort for a late 5th Wedding Anniversary getaway. The attentiveness of staff and quality of service were second to none. We arrived very early morning due to flight times and, although 5 hours ahead of our check-in time, were welcomed with open arms, offered breakfast and given a tour and access to the pool while our villa were prepared .
Review 109:The wireless network need to improve because it was slow.
Review 110:I went there with my wife everything was great .. All staff were helpful and friendly. . They did their best to make us happy and comfortable .. The place was so amazing and quite because it is away of down town .. The breakfast buffet was delicious but they need to add more varieties of food because it was so limited, as well as that, the menu for dinner too .. In general, we like the taste of food and the plates were offered by the chief were excellent and delicious .. If you are looking for relax and quite, I recommend to reserve there .. We will definitely will come back.
Review 111:All was perfect except we didn't make the hourse tour
Review 112:I like hourse tour but I didn't make it cuz they told me that guy he response was sick ...!
Review 113:All are very nice we like the food, the place, the staff are very accommodating. I've been enjoying the activities specially the desert safari. Very amazing the manmade lake in the desert.
Review 114:water pressure very low to fill the bath tub, heritage is always shut down and no luck to buy souvenir
Review 115:Villa was nice, food was very tasty, helpful smiley people all around, swan lake, sunset views, excellent service overall
Review 116:Heritage place was closed and sad most of the time, shops people don't speak any English!!!
Review 117:Me & wife went to celebrate our anniversary, it was simply amazing, these guys really knows how make it WooW, every service was impressive, great food. They wrote our names with fire in front of our villa when came to serve us the memorable candle barbeque dinner at our terrace, they write our names in all the toilets amenities.
Review 118:We had no bad experience.
Review 119:The Gazelle tent was above expectations! Stylish, modern technology, comfort and yet still a touch of nature that surrounds it. The serene desert scene and early morning coffee and singing birds outside was food for my soul. Peace and tranquility is of the essence here.
Review 120:everything was amazing, the food was delicious, the restaurant staff were nice.. specially thanks to Catherine who served us the dinner.. the check in was very smooth, the reception called us one day before to check if we know the location and if we have any special request. the heritage village was very organized but unfortunately not all the shops were open . i would strongly recommend to shade and cover the area were the camel and the horses are. we like the Safari and the table tennis tournament and all the activities were free of charge. the mini bar was included with the room rate. we strongly recommend this hotel and we will for sure come back again..
Review 121:I liked every thing, the service was excellent, the staff were amazing and attention to all details, every thing in the villa was tagged by our name with ribbon gift .. i have never seen this before in any hotel.. we had camel and horse riding and they took us next day in the morning for Safari to see the wildlife animal and then we had our breakfast near one of the lake.. we will defiantly come back again
Review 122:What i really love is the concept of the hotel, from venue, to landscape to interior to facilities to staff, everything is perfect. We stayed for 2 nights and never had a dull moments, i really love the biking track. Kudos to all excellent staff!!!
Review 123:The furniture in the room are quite big giving slightly less moving space
Review 124:The whole feel of the resort is excellent, the lake in the midst of the dessert is beautiful. The first serve from Mini bar (dry) is complimentary, free wifi. Staff is always ready to attend to your requirements, we were celebrating our anniversary so they provided with a complimentary cake. whole experience was great.
Review 125:The place is still new so no activities yet. So it works now if you just want to do nothing. Half of the TV stations didn't work and the WiFi is a bit flaky.
Review 126:I love the views. Everywhere you look you are surrounded by the desert and the sand dunes. It is very serene and peaceful. Perfect for those who want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Very cheap during the week which is a bargain.
Review 127:Though it was great to see the animals, some needed a little more space (the dogs) and shade (the horses)
Review 128:An absolutely wonderful experience, the room we were in was amazing, the staff is extremely hospitable and kind. Highly recommended.
Review 129:The location was very nice and the decor was great. We also got an upgrade to one of the villas which was perfect. The pool was very relaxing and was quite. Overall a great place and was a good experience.
Review 130:It's not easy to understand how to control air-conditioner (they could be switch off not only from the remote) (or may be we were too tired after a long trip to find a solution quickly :)
Review 131:Everything was EXCELENT!!!!!!!!!!!! One of the best hotel I've ever stayed!!! Beautiful sunrise and stunning sunset you can meet there! Perfect food and sooooo friendly staff! Wish to come back!
Review 132:In convenience shuttling from rooms to the hotel in the middle of Heat. It's very bad for small kids driving down in carts for small things to the hotel during mid day.
Review 133:The Concept
Review 134:The only thing i didnt like ..was that the horses were sitting under the sun without any shadow...and someone should care about that animals.
Review 135:The area is beautiful..Great staff..great food...nice swimming pool.
