Review 1：This is a very basic place while proce is too high for it. There is a shared bathroom , noise from the other rooms and poor maintenance.

Review 6：The location is superb, right in the middle of Chateaux D'Oex, an unbelievabley beautiful little town. The rooms are basic but all you need. Shower/toilet facilities are shared, but it's not a problem. Breakfast was good, the croissants were fresh and delicious and bread and coffee were fine. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
Review 7：Hotel currently surrounded by major building excavations related to adjoining station. We were not advised of this prior to booking although works had been going on for a long time. Unfortunately, this was not the hotel we thought we were booking and it was a much lower standard than we had expected for this reason.
Review 8：There were no lights in the stairwells. Also, there was one electrical connection was falling out of the wall and another that did not work.

Review 12：Too many stairs with no lift but the top floor is just two flights (long ones) up so it wasn't a huge problem. Also, there was construction going on at the train station - not their fault - which interfered with access a bit
Review 13：The staff were very friendly, very helpful, warm and inviting. We felt quite at home there and if there were anything at all interesting going on in Chateau D'Oex, we would have liked to have stayed. They are home to International Balloon Festivals and if you are planning a trip, stay at Buffet de la Gare and save yourself the money at the other places because Buffet is quite excellent. Highly recommend.

Review 31：It was the worst place we stayed in switzerland. All our accomitattionwas in the same price range and this was by far the worst. The roomswere not clean, we were given two sigle beds one of which had beenurinated on and the cleaner had not noticed when making the bed! When wecomplained to the manager we were offered a small loft room which smeltof damp and had a mattress with a hole through it. Needless to say wetook it as we had no other option. The breakfast contisted of two slicesof bread, two crossants and a lump of cheese, tea/coffee and juice, puton your table with no choices. There were also resident flys which mentyou could never eat a meal without them buzzing around you. We weregiven a 10% reduction on checking out, but this place really needs topull its socks up!
