Reviews for Hotel Lodge Roc et Neige

Review 1:Poor breakfast. Eggs should be boiled by customer and sometimes a finished item was not replaced.

Review 2:Very friendly and efficient staff. Excellent heating system. Excellent wireless signal. Ideal place for skiers. Very good view.

Review 3:Nothing really. We were given a room that was newly decorated, but it was rather dark and unimaginative for such a lovely place.

Review 4:Beautiful location. Easy to find . Reception were friendly and helpful. Grassy area with chairs and sunloungers. Good breakfast. Great village - Plenty of places to eat in the evening

Review 5:Bed was too small. Since there is no fridge in the room, an ice machine would be convenient.

Review 6:Peaceful location, charming rustic facilities. Very friendly staff.

Review 7:On day 16 of my walk on Via Alpina, my right leg seized up and I could barely move. The receptionist lent me a walking stick and, when I was leaving, ordered a taxi to take me to a sports store to buy a walking stick and then on to the train station. She'd called the store in advance and explained what I needed. I felt very well looked after in my hour of need. Thank you so much!

Review 8:Apparently no secure motorcycle parking. No evening meals at the hotel.

Review 9:We used this as an overnight stop, the rooms were large and comfortable. British TV. Good restaurants in the the town. Good breakfast. A fantastic vista awaits to feast your eyes on.

Review 10:To each, his own. If there is a "night life" we didn't find it but to be honest, we were tired enough at the end of each day not to worry!

Review 11:Good walking country, not to strenuous for the not so young anymore. Friendly local population. Relaxing location but other attractions close at hand like Montreux and Gruyeres.

Review 12:Room are spacious

Review 13:Fairly basic room but very clean, good wifi, excellent choice at breakfast

Review 14:Breakfast could be better.

Review 15:Nice place, conveniently located at walking distance from the village.

Review 16:Flies on the food at breakfast. Charged an exhorbitant amount for a bottle of water from the bar.

Review 17:Good location - quiet but easy walk into the town.

Review 18:Nothing

Review 19:Nothing too much trouble for the staff, very clean, quiet, liked it all

Review 20:Very friendly, helpful staff; very well situated (= close to cable car, hiking trails; central situation for the whole region); good value for money

Review 21:Nice little garden. Great view.

Review 22:The Roc et Neige was good value. The room was a good size with comfortable beds. Good continental breakfast. Great staff

Review 23:Everything

Review 24:No bath!

Review 25:It was an excellent location, only 5 minutes from the village centre and train station. Beautiful views, excellent price

Review 26:The restaurant only opens for booked groups, which is understandable and I think I was the only guest. However when I asked if I could use some hot water and a bowl to make some soup I'd bought from the coop (as most places were closed due to the low season) and watch the communal TV, it appeared to be a great hassle to the staff member on duty, so I just went up to my room instead.

Review 27:The hotel is a 5 min walk from the train station (down hill), outside the main part of town in a rural location. A single room is small, but the TV has English channels other than CNN! Good shower and a nice breakfast. Wi-fi works well.

Review 28:The reception is only open during limited hours.

Review 29:A great location - views in all directions to the Alps and a short walk to a selection of restaurants. Lots of hiking options from the hotel. Great value for money for Switzerland. A very helpful receptionist.

Review 30:It was all good.

Review 31:Location in the beautiful Alps close to good skiing, on the edge of a picturesque town with tasty food. Pleasant staff, good breakfast included, nice wood furniture. It's not a luxury facility, but who needs luxury when the Alps are out the door?

Review 32:Would have been nice to have spare pillows in the room (although they were available from reception). No tea/coffee making facilities in room. Restaurant was closed while we were there.

Review 33:Comfortable and spacious room. Very helpful and friendly staff. Decent (standard) breakfast. Nice views, and an easy walk to the centre of town. Free parking in front of hotel.

Review 34:They didn't receive a fax from you and there was some confusion when we arrived. Luckily they had a room, but the office wasn't open to meet us. We loved the hotel and staff.

Review 35:Very helpful staff, great breakfasts, very quiet and comfortable.

Review 36:Little bit of a walk to centre.

Review 37:Chateaux d'Oex is a lovely little place. Large room with sofa and dining table. Impressive views over the mountains. Breakfast is as you'd expect. Shower was good. Free wireless. Supermarket nearby.

Review 38:rather isolated being a 15 minute walk from the outskirts of the village (uphill or down depending which end you headed for).Beds very uncomfortable, very small shower cubicle.

Review 39:Prettily located. Quite large room with large table.

Review 40:A bath would have been preferable to a shower only. Given we were skiing, it would have been nice for the hotel to have a hot tub, but this was not a showstopper.

Review 41:Good location for skiing the Gstaad mountain range. Easy to get to from Geneva. Excellent welcome from patron, Martina, who was helpful throughout the stay. Close to shops/bars/restaurants in Chateau D'oex. Good size room with comfy single beds although TV small. Bathroom had shower not bath, but lots of hot water good. Buffet breakfast was traditional european but considered good start to day. Recommended for good value ski holiday.

Review 42:Double beds very small, not suitable for anything other than the tiniest couple.

Review 43:Friendly, helpful staff. Good understanding of the area and gave helpful advice re skiing areas and restaurants. Really made you feel welcome

Review 44:The restaurant is closed for evening meals during the winter, which is apity, due to its fine location and view.

Review 45:Only 10 minutes walk from the station and centre of the village, butpleasantly quiet. Friendly reception, helpful staff. Rooms were warm andspacious, with considerable storage space. Good continental breakfasts.
