Review 1：The Donald Gordon is my favorite hotel in Kingston. I love the quiet atmosphere and lovely setting. The breakfast buffet is wonderful, and the staff superb.

Review 2：I had stayed here in September and was very impressed with the breakfast. Unfortunately, this time everything was lukewarm from the coffee to the the eggs. Disappointed.

Review 10：I don't like that all rooms only have one bed rather than 2 double or queen. The increased rate for the two people occupancy and the 20$/night for a cot is excessive.

Review 13：I love the location and the grounds. You can walk to any place in Kingston. I love the walk along the lake to the downtown. The breakfast is fabulous. Good value all around. Free parking is a bonus.

Review 14：I guess in a perfect world the centre would be located downtown but really there was not anything that I did not like about staying there if anything I loved it.

Review 15：It was like finding a hidden gem. Nice and close to Queens so my son could walk over to join me for the included very nice breakfast. The area is really pretty, the facility really nice. I took a taxi to downtown for dinner $10 each way so while not downtown it was still cheap and easy to get there. They have really nice toiletries, robes, included breakfast, really nice rooms, quiet it really is a great place to stay.

Review 16：The receptionist we first met is very cold. The checkout girl is another person, very friendly. Strong contrast.

Review 31：Overall it didn't impact negatively on my stay ( I couldn't make coffee in my room), I would suggest closer inspection of the rooms' mechanics (eg. the toilet handle stuck and required repeated adjustment to stop the water running and the coffee maker didn't work).

Review 61：This is a comfortable and friendly place. Don't stay here if you are expecting 5-star service. Do stay here if you like friendly staff who leave you alone to enjoy a laid back stay. It's an historic mansion with modern additions. Mostly used by the Queen's executive business program but operates as a hotel as well.

Review 62：This conference centre doubles as a hotel. It is clean, spacious and quiet. It features quality shampoo etc. But the best part is the breakfast. I have yet to find anywhere in the world that gives you such a quality spread and a dining room with great staff.

Review 72：We were not told that the bar would be unavailable to us that evening when we checked in. When we returned late after a movie and were unable to have a drink, nor could we get a bottle of wine up to our room we were very disappointed. We did not want to go back out to find a bar and then have to drive back to the DGCC. We realized a wedding was taking place but does that mean the rest of your guests are not important? On Sunday morning when I asked the front desk for a newspaper I was informed that papers were not available on Sundays. However, when the waiter saw me return he asked if I would like to read the newspaper; The New York Times of The Star. Perhaps your front desk staff could be better informed.
