Review 1：We had car trouble when we arrived and staff was very helpful to help us search out a location to service out vehicle on a Sunday as well as transportation options. We travelled to attend a sporting event and planned on driving to transit station -- worked very well. We could have even taken a bus to sky train very close by.
Review 2：We stayed here once before and booked with Sandman directly. This time we booked with Booking.com and they gave us a room next to the laundry room and ice machine. I asked why and they said it was because we paid a low rate, so we am only entitled to a lower end room. We could have moved to a better room for an extra $30. We stayed in the loud room with red sticky jelly on the bathroom floor.
Review 3：Awkward to find the entrance if your a tourist & confusing when you go around as you've obviously missed it & see another Sandman opposite! We had a king room & it was VERY small, hardly had room to walk around the bed.

Review 5：When I arrived at 5pm they had no power and no eta of when it would comeback on. Suggested I go to the Signature Sandman across thehighway(literally). Had to pay $39.00 more for a room which had nopillow slips on the pillows. Not impressed
Review 6：We found one staff member in particular extremely unhelpful! We asked for a late check out and got disturbed 3 times asking when we were checking out. After we had checked out we realised we forgot to fill our water bottles so went back into Reception and asked if we could fill them she told us they don't have any water and we would have to go to the restaurant next door!!!!!!

Review 8：I have a Royal bank Visa debit card to reserve the room with,meanwhile i have a substantial amount in my account and the desk clerk didn't want to use my Visa debit card, so in embaressment I asked if I can pay with my RBC debit card which I did. I was a little chocked.

Review 10：The lighting was very dim, especially over the bathroom sink. The room was small, hard for two people to move around. No refrigerator, when we asked for one we received the next day but did not work. Ice was located on the second floor and we were on the first. A nice gentlemen in a suit asked if we needed anything, we asked for ice and he brought it to us.Looked for vending machine found you had to ask the front desk person to purchase. Waited about 5 minutes but she was too busy with other guests so gave up.Need more signs as quide to Denny's.luxcu

The girl at the front desk matched the price for us, however, it was for a regular queen room, when the one we booked through booking.com was a king room. She let us know that she looked for a king room/room she could upgrade us to, but there were no rooms available. So not the hotels issue so much, but more booking.com being inaccurate (for the first time for me, not an issue I've ever had before) No fridge or microwave

Review 22：The queen to King room was a down grade...to bad attendant didnt tell us. Shaby furniture not set up inwelcoming way. My husband did think we were booking" signature" when he got address online but it wasnt...but still I didnt think the older hotel should have this much discomfort. I had one hour sleep then caught another hour few hours later....loud loud noise going on for 40 mins off 20 mins all night....I think it was furnace or Laundry the latter because I told myself a shower would sooth me to sleep...NO HOT WATER ran it for 15 min barely luke warm....rolled back into bed yup right to the center of the king bed nice v shaped king...hold on to edge to stay out of centre...I had a meeting at 7 am....thankfully there was hot water at 6 am
Review 23：The Front desk guy tried to upgrade us to two queens....we booked King...the queen was nice but at the time I was insulted that this was considered up grade. I told front desk i didnt think that was upgrade...he said he made mistake and got us King rm....

Review 60：The hotel still smells of cigarettes in the elevators and hallways. Our room was so tiny and right beside the elevator. We couldn't use the suitcase stand without completely blocking the hallway. We stayed in room 317. I've stayed at a sandman in vancouver near the airport previously. Its staff was much friendlier.
