Review 2:Liked everything .
Review 3:Relaxed atmosphere and nice homey feeling. Staff were amazing and helpful at booking tours, cars etc. Beds were comfortable and breakfast very good
Review 4:The property was charming, breakfast was delicious, and there was a cute hotel cat that greeted us everyday. I would recommend this place to anyone, especially people who might enjoy staying a little ways from Puerto Varas (10 min walk along a nice pedestrian path).
Review 5:The B&B was a beautiful house on a hill with unique finishings a short walk from the town centre. The patio and the view of the lake were great and there are a few delicious restaurants nearby too.
Review 6:Very helpful, friendly staff. They couldn't have been more helpful! Lovely lakeside view, fantastic taxi service through the hotel. Carlos was brilliant!
Review 7:Nothing - it is so good we're going back this week!
Review 8:Authentic traditional house with great character and decorated with interesting art and artefacts. Very cosy and homely feel, welcoming staff, great spaces to chill out and relax. Delicious breakfasts with home made tarts and cakes. The owner and staff know the area very well and can provide advice and help with where to go and tours etc. our room had a bath too, which I love! Some rooms have lake views too.
Review 9:The hostel was about 3/4 of a mile from the city center. We also stayed at a hotel right in the center and with a water view that was the same price.
Review 10:Lovely hostel.
Review 11:No internet at the rooms, lobby only.
Review 12:Great staff (gave awesome tips about places to go). Great location. Parking lot (yes, you need to rent a car to fully enjoy the lake). Room and bed are very comfortable. Cable.
Review 13:Beautifull place, very nice, characteristic and confortable "traditional house", very clean and beautifull rooms, very very nice and kind people; excellent breakfast with very good "home made" cakes. Surely I suggest it as an excellent option to stay at
Review 14:A little bit out of the center but a nice walk in (10mins).
Review 15:The room was very spacious, the tv had a lot of cable channels, especially in English. We had a view of the volcano from our room. The breakfast buffet had a large selection. Private car park.
Review 16:Wifi didnt work in the rooms
Review 17:Great location Friendly helpful owner who spoke good English Good range of quality restuarants nearby Easy to get to Petrohue and Volcan Osorno Comfy lounge area which had good wifi
Review 18:We loved the style of the place and the very cosy atmosphere of Casa Kalfu. The staff was really welcoming and gave us good advice and help to organise things to do in the area. The location is also ideal - 5 minutes walk from the Puerto Varas city centre. There is also a bakery/coffee place at the corner of the street with excellent pastries and cakes.
Review 19:Nothing
Review 20:The staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was comfortable - hot shower and lovely pillows. Breakfast was good and plentiful. Really nice communal area with large sofas and drinks available from the small bar. The hotel is a very pleasant 10 minute walk to town with lovely views of the lake. We had a great 4 day stay.
Review 21:comfortable common areas, nice breakfast. owner was very helpful although male desk clerk made minimal effort to provide assistance. our room was in the basement and we would not recommend it--no view and lots of street/dog noise--ask for a room higher up and you'll be happy.
Review 22:I needed a bit of extra comfort after 3 weeks of travelling and Casa Kalfu was perfect for that. Great position in a quiet part of town just a couple of minutes walk from the lake. Spacious room, excellent breakfast, helpful staff. Just wish we'd had time to stay longer and if we return to Puerto Varas we would definitely stay at Casa Kalfu.
Review 23:Casa Kalfu doesn't cost much more than the hostels in the center but it's a world apart. It's beautiful, has personal touch, good breakfast, clean and comfortable. Staff is friendly and helpful. We strongly recommend Casa Kalfu for a peaceful stay.
Review 24:Rooms and bathroom were nice, large, clean, and quiet. We really liked the location, it was away from downtown, but not too far walking distance. We would stay there
Review 25:One has to be careful in the parking lot which has limited space. It is covered in gravel and if you remain in Drive you will get stuck in it. You have go into the lowest gear available #1 and drive very slowly. But if you do that it should be Okay.
Review 26:Paulina, the young lady who works the front desk and it appears everything else is charming, helpful and knowledgeable. She is a real gem. All the staff were extremely delightful and helpful as well. Breakfast was excellent. The owner was helpful too.
Review 27:Large comfortable and very clean rooms. Staff is helpful and very accommodating. Some are English speaking. Comfy sitting room with wifi access. Excellent breakfast!
Review 28:rooms and bathroom spacious, very quiet when we stayed. Lovely lounge area for guests. Good wifi. Satff were very helpful and speak good english plus several other languages. Its between the 2 sides of Puerto Varas in the middle of the bay and walking distance to several decent restaurants.
Review 29:Although the breakfast was extremely basic, lots of options nearby.
Review 30:Staying longer next time. Definetely coming back, the hotel's decor, rooms, cleanliness, staff, wifi was all above average. I enjoyed my stay. Puerto Varas is beautiful and staying here makes it so much better!
Review 31:Comfortable room, with good bathroom. Short walk to main part of town, with local restaurants close by. Off street parking. Good breakfast.
Review 32:Nice people, made us welcome. Nice room, nice views of the lake and mountains.
Review 33:Breakfast a little weak. Could be more options
Review 34:Location, cleanliness
Review 35:A little distance from main city area. Good information of area.
Review 36:Friendly and helpful host. Nice location. Off-street parking.
Review 37:Great location, in walking distance to the centre but still quiet enought for a good rest
Review 38:Room space a bit too low
Review 39:Thé welcome. Thé decoration
Review 40:Late night comings and goings can get loud.
Review 41:Great location and great price. A bit loud, almost like a hostel but can recommend without pause.
Review 42:Nice place, comfortable, near to lake with lovely views, short walk to town. Good breakfast.
Review 43:Room are a bit small
Review 44:Close to downtown but far enough away as to be able to tune out the noise
Review 45:Nothing in particular
Review 46:Comfortable rooms and great breakfast. Good value.
Review 47:Bad breakfast, terrible service and no internet in the room. Bad owner too
Review 48:cozy place
Review 49:Limited breakfast options.
Review 50:Location, cat in lobby, decor. English speaking staff.
Review 51:15 minute walk from town
Review 52:View, accomodations
Review 53:The hotel, on a sloping hill overlooking the lake, is a bit of a landmark, with a tall spire on top of the third floor yet with the warm feel of a small family inn. Our room and bathroom were small but had a nice view of the lake. The desk staff were efficient, gave some good suggestions for restaurants, and helped make arrangements. Would stay here again, especially for the price.
Review 54:Unless you're planning on being around Puerto chico, which is really close from the hotel and has the best restaurants, it is 20 mins away walking from dowtown which is a downside for me.
Review 55:The place is beautiful and it's close to the lake. The breakfast is great, including delicious fresh cake everyday.
Review 56:High price for a hotel such as this, I think (I am not an expert on Chile but feel £65/night is a bit steep, although obviously I knew what I was paying when I booked it).
Review 57:Very nice hotel Great location - views of Osorno volcano from room
Review 58:The heating in the room was not operational so we had to use a portable unit.
Review 59:Pretty good value, nice enough staff but were unable to speak much English. It was ok but we could have found a better place.
Review 60:A bit too far from the town with no cheap eats nearby.
Review 61:lovely atmosphere, friendly and very artistic decor with attention to detail. The staff were very helpful and the breakfast delicious with coffee and cake.
Review 62:rooms are quite small and there is no pression in the shower.
Review 63:the breakfast is really good, plenty of food and good quality. The decoration and the atmosphere of the house is really cosy and nice. Everything is clean.
Review 64:Every night you would be kept awake all night by the sound of the dogs from the street and other homes barking all night. It's not the hotels fault but if you sleep with the window open as we did as the temp was 38C it spoils the enjoyment of the hotel and the well needed rest.
Review 65:The location was a short walk from the main town along the beach, great staff and hotel is lovely and some of the rooms have great views. breakfast was nice and it has a very good deli at the end of the road which serves lovely food and value for money prices.
Review 66:There is nothing that I didn't like about Casa Kalfu.
Review 67:The beds were luxuriously comfortable. The showers were great. The staff is lovely. There is not enough I can say about this lovely hotel. It was also 2 blocks away from a view of the Lake and Volcano Orsono, a view of a life time.
Review 68:Our host was very friendly and helpful. The rooms and hotel were comfortable and beautifully designed, with weaving and artworks. It was a good place to rest up for a rainy christmas day and to enjoy Puerto
Review 69:Poor wi fi reception in our room.
Review 70:Staff were very helpful, rooms very clean. Our room had a great view over the lake. Hotel location was easy walk to town or beach. Good breakfast, very cosy hotel.
Review 71:The parking lot needs work. The entrance needs leveling to cover pot holes and the interior lot which has soft terrain needs at least gravel or compacted sand.
Review 72:Great atmosphere at the hotel . The wood construction and details are very warm and pleasing to the eye.
Review 73:The room wasn't totally clean. Wifi didn't work in the rooms but did inthe lobby.
Review 74:Loved the helpful owners! Great service! The boutique hotel atmosphereis nice. Nice stroll into town. Tasty eggs for breakfast and goodstong coffee.
Review 75:Not much. A 15 minutes walk to centre of town but hardly a problem.
Review 76:Fantastic view from room - only two volcanoes!
Review 77:Noisy Very hard to communicate Other guests were rude, stayed up late and were loud
Review 78:Nice room and bathroom
Review 79:Quiet location, Close to nice restaurants and cafes. Great view from room 11
Review 80:Seemed a little over priced for what it was.
Review 81:Excellent breakfast and staff were very helpful (although little English spoken).
