Reviews for Puerto Chico Hotel

Review 1:The room is a bit hot in summer, during the day.

Review 2:Friendly and helpful staff! Confortable and clean. Facilities at the room and bathroon are great. Breakfast was always wonderfull!

Review 3:Eventhough the staff is running, they don't manage to keep the breakfast buffet complete. Both mornings we had to wait a long time for the scrambeled eggs.

Review 4:Nice rooms, with good beds. Wifi worked well in 2 out of 3 rooms that we had. The hotel is nicely located close to the beach but quite far from the center of Puerto Varas. We had a good dinner at the hotel restaurant.

Review 5:Wifi didn'nt reach our room ( a concrete wall prevented this)

Review 6:Breakfast and people ! The welcoming people were really nice and charming. The breakfast was out of this world with home made jam, tortas, yogurt and everything else.

Review 7:30min walk from town centre Upstairs rooms get warm in sunshine

Review 8:Friendly staff Great views of lake Large comfortable beds Good wifi Good breakfast

Review 9:Location by the lake excellent, breakfast tasty and plentiful. Part of the hotel building is a good empanadas shop convenient to buy picnic food for a day out and a really good restaurant which we would highly recommend - Calabache

Review 10:The bed was very comfortable and the room was clean. The bathroom was very clean and spacious. The breakfast was great with fresh fruits, bread, cake, fresh juice, etc- the staff was very quick to refill the buffet whenever it ran out of something. Very good restaurants just nearby. Wonderful view. Friendly staff.

Review 11:The breakfast was average. Our room was left unlocked by the cleaning staff while we were out for the day.

Review 12:Modern and comfortable hotel. Nice location near the lake- 20 minute stroll to the centre. Easy to access the main route for driving around the lake.

Review 15:The floors in the corridors are all made of wood which makes it noisy when people are just walking normally. It is also quite a good 30 minute walk out of Puerto Varas along the lake front which is really nice, however, it does incline you to stay out once you are out as you cannot just pop back to the hotel.

Review 16:Room was a really good size and the beds were really comfortable.

Review 17:Located a long walk from Puerto Varas, intermittent buses in to centre, attached restaurant deserted at night

Review 18:Small hotel, pleasant building and atmosphere

Review 19:There are a few bikes avaiable to the guests. As the hotel is not located exactly in downtown, although is not far, the bikes are a nice way to move around the city. Good idea! And you can also do some exercise while enjoying the ride.

Review 20:Our experience was fantastic. The staff helped us with everything we needed - taxi, money exchange, trips booking. Our room was big and had everything we needed, very clean and recently renovated. Great breakfast! We left early morning and the staff made breakfast specially for us. It was very nice. Definitely recommend to visit the restaurant next to the hotel, which they recommend - best caviche!

Review 21:You can hear *everything* through the walls / hall. Our room was right next to the stairwell -- we heard everyone who walks up the stairs throughout the night. There are only 3 floors and we were on 2nd floor so most people walked. In the middle of one night, someone rang the doorbell and pounded on the door for over 10 mins keeping everyone awake. I wish the noise level was as quiet and calming as the vibe of the facilities.

Review 22:Location is a short walk or bike ride into town. They offer free bikes, which is a great way to get around. Good facilities and staff was very helpful.

Review 23:I lost one full day in Puerto Varas because the front desk is misinformed of the tours that they help book with Turistour. The hotel gave us bad information on when the tour started making us late for the pick-up, which didn´t wait for us or call for us to come down. When we told the hotel of their error to more than one front desk assistant, neither apologized for the error. Very disappointing. I wouldn´t recommend the hotel or the services they say they can help provide.

Review 24:Great breakfast. Spacious bedrooms and well fitted. Choice of restaurants in the area.close to lake and nice walks. Buses to P. Varas nearby. 2 km easy walk to town.

Review 25:Parking was crowded on arrival because of the (very good) restaurant next door

Review 26:Location right by the lake is nice for sunset and walks. Room are just nice and comfortable with all facilities you expect (incl. Fridge) Great value for money

Review 27:We couldn't change the temperature of the room, it was quite warm (that wasn't bad), but sometimes was some annoying to sleep. However, we forgot asking about it, so we didn't think it's a real problem.

Review 28:Very good location. The staff was pretty helpful giving enough information and advice about our stay. We didn't have problems with the discount we got by Booking and everything was as expected. The room was nice and comfortable, with a beautiful view. The breakfast was amazing and very delicious. We're absolutely pleased.

Review 29:The room was too warm given the season (no eating was switched on)

Review 30:Nice furnitures in the room which was big. Bicycles available for free.

Review 31:Location

Review 32:Good rooms, great breakfast

Review 33:Center of town is far. It is walkable, but a long walk.

Review 34:Comfortable room, nice breakfast.

Review 35:First hotel that doesen have orange juice at breakfast

Review 36:Good location, a bit distant from downtown Puerto Varas, but right on the lakeshore. Efficient and smiling staff.

Review 37:Distance from Center

Review 38:breakfast Nice Bed Great Shower

Review 39:Downtown is far away.

Review 40:Rooms Breakfast Location close to the Lake and nearby restaurants

Review 41:Very supporting staff. Via "friends of friends" you can work around the standard and expensive excursions, rent a car, etc. The area with Vulcano Osorno is beautiful, in particular when the weather is fine. Buy a local map and find nice hikes, you will need a rental car to get there though. Also horse riding near the vulcano was big fun.

Review 42:spacious rooms, large king size bed, air conditioning, nice wood decoration, good quality for the price. 3km walking seaside to the center of town..good for the excercise.

Review 43:Laundry service prohibitively expensive.

Review 44:Excellent location on lake out of the main district but easy walk to everything. Very spacious, airy rooms. Quiet and comfortable.

Review 45:Room is small, only saving grace is them all lounge at the end of the hall with sofas and chairs, and windows with a view of the lake. A 20 minute walk to the centre, but it's along the lake so that makes up for it.

Review 46:The staff tried hard to help, even though we spoke no Spanish. The breakfast was good, again the staff were nice.

Review 47:It was an airy space, plenty of fresh air (and the ability to openwindows), there was a tree view, good location (3 minute walk to thebeach and promenade on the lake shore, close to the city centre). Theroom was very clean, had a wooden interior, comfy bed, nice walldecorations, overall interior design , comfy living room on the thirdfloor (didn't see the volcano though), fast and free internet. Also, there was a good next door eatery, fresh and inexpensive food (hugeselection of empanadas). Did not have the chance to visit the next doorrestaurant, but it also looked great. Friendly staff helped us rent acar with the local rental agency (twice as cheap as the brand nameoptions online)

Review 48:Room got hot in the evening because the sun shon right in and there was no AC. They gave us a fan and it worked out.

Review 49:The hotel was good value for money. It does not have air conditioning which made the room very hot in the evening. When we talked to them about it they were nice enough to give us a fan and we kept the window open. Close enough to Puerto Varas and right next to the lake. Store below hotel was convenient.

Review 50:- Breakfast was not organised, we ate 3 times on a different hour and it was always chaotic. Tables not emptied after finishing (even not 30 min later). Some people were asked for eggs, other not. One day real coffee, other day instant coffee. - The only time you see the people of the reception is at check in and the person was not friendly. Not a good impression. -At check out, forgot to call taxi. All this is a pitty because it's a very nice hotel, but it needs a proper management

Review 51:Very nice modern room, design hotel, very good bed, good wifi reception, They made a mistake by forgetting to call a taxi, but helped us out in the end by proposing to bring us themselves

Review 52:Slightly away from downtown, but this fine if you want a quiet place. The coffee served at breakfast is really terrible.

Review 53:quiet place, nice and helpful staff. I'd recommend this hotel. Breakfast is good and complete.

Review 54:Breakfast very good. The staff friendly.

Review 55:The room was nice with a modern feel. Very convenient to town and the lake. Private parking with convenience of store and restaurant on site.

Review 56:nice new hotel. spacious rooms. good parking facility. well located near the beach. Walking distance to nice restaurants

Review 57:The room was very pleasant and quiet and the staff very helpfull.

Review 58:Nothing.

Review 59:We have been upgraded to the suite which is spacious. Good breakfast, Wifi is strong.

Review 60:They told a lie.

Review 61:cookie cutter charmless minimalist breakfast out of town

Review 62:clean functional

Review 63:If it was sunny the rooms can get hot in the afternoon, so go out!

Review 64:Best value in town

Review 65:Nothing!

Review 66:Clean rooms, good breakfast, friendly staff.

Review 67:Lack of reply to my emails

Review 68:Great location.

Review 69:Clean, modern and close to the beach. Good wifi. Secure parking.

Review 70:Poor light in the rooms, thin walls and fifteen minute walk to the centre of town

Review 71:Nice decor and views from the breakfast room

Review 72:very friendly helpful staff, good restaurants and great bakery nearby. Walking distance from town, quiet.

Review 73:Noisy room from above because the floor is wood.

Review 74:Staff very attentive and helpful, always with excellent tips on sightseeing and restaurants.
