Reviews for Hotel Laurier - King Street Residence
Review 1:The bed wasn't comfortable at all, especially when sharing with two people. Also the TV in the lounge is very outdated.
Review 2:The service was great, fast and efficient. The shower was good as well.
Review 3:I wish there was a mat in the room or an option to have a mat. Not a huge fan of walking on tile all the time. I wish the bath towels were bigger.
Review 4:The bed was more comfortable than I anticipated! Enough space to spread out! Shower had good water pressure and was hot. Nice and quiet. :)
Review 5:but last weekend the weather was fresh no need conditioner air and the room was very could all building was cold but
Review 6:was good Is nice the rooms thank you
Review 7:The cleanliness wasn't ideal. They have 2 pillows in each room. The one I had on the bed was fine, but the other one they kept on the side was... Yellowish... Same thing for the blankets, the one on bed is fine but the extra one looks yellow and dusty. Something I really didn't like was the bed sheet. I didn't see it the first night but the next day I found 3 brown spots on the part that's really close to my face. They look like washed blood marks to be honest.. And that just grossed me out. So make sure you check the sheets inside out before you sleep in them.
Review 8:The hotel is right beside Laurier campus and close to many restaurants and main bus lines. It also provides fridge and microwave in the lounge on each floor so you will always have a place to put your leftover takeouts and heat then up at a later time. I suggest every traveler to ask for a internet cable to connect your laptop with cuz it makes the internet a lot faster than wifi
Review 9:Mattress is a thin piece of foam Lack of a TV in the room No breakfast at all, not even coffee
Review 10:Price Excellent internet Excellent Middle East restaurant nearby
Review 11:The facilities only provided soap (no shampoo) so you have to bring your own.
Review 12:It was located conveniently (easy to travel to other parts of Waterloo/Kitchener).
Review 13:Location
Review 14:Small uncomfortable bed
Review 15:Friendly staff
Review 16:Shared bathroom, no phone or TV, no daily maid service
Review 17:Cleanliness, basic room amenities, free indoor parking, central location, WiFi
Review 18:nothing..
Review 19:Staff were great and location was great
Review 20:parking was underground
Review 21:Did not have hangers for my clothes
Review 22:Closeness to the Univ. of Waterloo
Review 23:Shared bathrooms, beds very small and not the most comfortable.
Review 24:Location was very good, accommodations were what I was expecting.
Review 25:It's just a basic dorm room, but it's clean and reasonably comfortable for a simple overnight stay. And you can't beat the price.
Review 26:Free Wi-Fi,clean,and quiet
Review 27:The beds were too small. I'm 6'3". If you're 6' or less, it probably would be more comfortable
Review 28:lots of space and amenities
Review 29:Booking.com did not forward my reservation so they didn't know I was coming.
Review 30:very clean room, staff very helpful and for the price great value. I WILL stay there again.
Review 31:The bedsheet had not been changed from the previous tenant. The pillow case and towels were fresh, and the bed had been made, but the sheet has not been changed. Also there was garbage on the windowsill and a dirty towel left in the bathroom.
Review 32:Danielle and Ahmed were awesome as front line staff. I encountered a flat tire and they were very accommodating.
Review 33:Shower was cold and staff are young and not trained in hotel management. The first room I was given had yet to be cleaned so had to go back for another one.
Review 34:Cheap and comfortable though I had the shared bathroom to myself.
Review 35:The wifi was non-existent, even though promised at the time of purchase.I need Internet access for work so I had to go to the nearest Starbucks(which is very close by and open until midnight). Also no facilities tomake tea or coffee (there is a functioning kitchen with some pots andpans which you can use to boil water, but nothing else; if you like todrink a lot of tea you may want to have some teabags with you and athermos to brew them in).
Review 36:Close to everything, cheap but clean and comfortable. There are lots ofsmall restaurants nearby.
Review 37:There were some teenagers staying there on the weekend for some kind of tennis tournament. They were loud in the halls rather late at night (early in the morning), though I'm not sure the staff could have done much about it.
Review 38:The rooms were clean and simple. They were definitely good enough for a place to sleep, shower, and leave your things if you're looking for a weekend that is *not* spent in the room. Despite having a "shared" bathroom, if the room next to you isn't occupied, it's essentially a private one.
Review 39:The beds were uncomforatable. The air conditioning was going continuously, and my throat dried out, and I caught a cold.
Review 40:I liked the location. Located on the Wilfred Laurier campus (University and King streets), made it very accessable to public transportation to anywhere in the two cities (Kitchener-Waterloo), and walking distance to a variety of restaurants. Also, at approx. $ 45.00 per night, it is probably the best rate in town!
Review 41:bed and wifi strength
Review 42:location
Review 43:Cleaning person came into my room while I was asleep and didn't knock
Review 44:Liked the folks at the front desk
Review 45:wifi not working for most of duration of stay
Review 46:location, price
