Reviews for Hotel-Motel Fleur de Lys

Review 1:Your advertisement showed this hotel had a continental breakfast included but on arrival we were told breakfast was not included. The WiFi was not working and the staff were not very helpful to get this corrected.

Review 2:When we arrived the oceanview room i booked wasn't available ,the tv only had a couple of very snowy channels ,no wi-fi for the duration of our stay we were told by the owner a free breakfast would be provided for the problems we encountered after sitting down for breakfast the waitress said only toast an egg and coffee was free we would be charged for anything extra,we left and ate at another restaurant.

Review 3:nothing

Review 4:Older travellers with lots of luggage may find accessing the upstairs rooms a bit of a challenge -- ask for one on the ground floor

Review 5:We had a superb view of rocher perce, the goal of our visit. The hotel is well located for visits to restaurants and a good pub and is connected administratively with a very good restaurant overlooking the sea and the rock.

Review 6:We had trouble with our internet but with a direct view of the water and the rock it was worth it.

Review 7:The room was excellent. I found the atmosphere friendly and cozy.

Review 8:I'd made reservations for a room next to the sea - even called prior to booking to be sure it was a sea side room - was told it was. Upon arrival found that we did not have a sea side room but across the street from the front desk area. When I complained a very nasty male tried to berate me and kept insisting that I wasn't listening to him. Not only was he insulting but also very loud. We were very disappointed in our two day reservation. I would not book there again.

Review 9:Only a few of the rooms have a/c. Breakfast is not included. No telephone in the room. Room, although clean, had old, broken furniture.

Review 10:The location was good with easy access to the boardwalk. Comfortable beds.

Review 11:Municipality had declared the water not fit to drink. This hotel refused to supply bottled water stating it was not their problem. Advised us to go to a convenience store and buy water, despite out late arrival time.

Review 12:Average room, comfortable mattress.

Review 13:Service at the adjacent restaurant, where breakfast was provided, was very slow. (Not for publication-The photo on the booking.com site is inaccurate.)

Review 14:Central and on the seafront, in the Main Street of Perce. Very helpful staff. Laundry facilities were much appreciated as we were riding motorcycles and sheltering from Hurricane Arthur.

Review 15:The room was very small, so was the shower, no air conditioning so it gets very warm in the room, on day two the room was only half clean, we had to contact reception to ensure that the room was completed. Overall a fair to poor rating is deserved.

Review 16:Room Small Needs to be upgraded beds need to be at least queen size

Review 17:location view easy to find friendly staff close to le Perce Roche lots of restaurants within walking distance

Review 18:No air conditioning, however with the windows you can get a nice cross breeze. Sitting area in front of the room was small. However an excellent excellent view of the Rock.

Review 19:We stayed on the waterside property (the hotel is actually on two sides of the Main st) and had a great view of the Roche Perce. Right on the boardwalk to the rest of the village.

Review 39:The view

Review 40:There was no telephone in the room, which was odd. The room we had was right next to the road (hwy. 132) and there was quite a bit of traffic noise.

Review 41:The staff were all very friendly and helpful, and the location was great. The breakfast that was included with the room was much better than you'd get with a chain hotel. The room amenities were thoughtful, and included bubble bath. :) The restaurant next door was very nice and the view was beautiful. The location was very convenient for sightseeing on foot, and the wharf to catch a ferry to Ile Bonaventure.

Review 42:Parking was a problem for me. We arrived around 7 pm and therewasn't any parking spots left. I also had an extremely difficulttime trying to back out of the parking lot and had to be directed a verynice gentleman passing by, then had to park across the street.

Review 43:Location was great! Great view of the big rock from our window. Therestaurant was the best, friendly service. They went over and above toprovide us with a nice table overlooking the bay and rock.

Review 44:You can't swim on the beach the water is too cold even mid July

Review 45:It was the same as I read in the review clean calm and at the second floor has the sea and pierced rock view. Don't forget to take a tour of iles Bonaventure to see the nature and colonie of Feu de bassan (sea bird) and foks. The staff of hotel were kind.
