Reviews for Hotel Parador Canaro & Ski
Review 1:Nothing to comment about.
Review 2:Superb location, spotlessly clean, lovely food, excellent value for money, finally the staff are super freindly and is excellent value for money.
Review 3:The hotel was perfectly situated for an overnight stop on the way from Reus to Cahors. The room was very spacious, the bed comfortable and the evening meal excellent and very good value. There were two spacious car parks.
Review 4:Staff were very friendly, food in restaurants was excellent. Rooms were clean and spacious. Ample psrking. On a 10 day trip of France, andorra and Spain this was the nicest hotel
Review 5:A bit too far out of town ( in summer) but absolutely perfect if it was winter. Food was a bit expensive for what you get.
Review 6:Everything , except food prices £££££!!!!!
Review 7:We would have liked to see tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms. Noise from the road.
Review 8:The fittings in the bedroom and bathroom were of very high standard. We ate a very good meal in the restaurant where the service was excellent.
Review 9:No SPA services or even spa arrangement in a different location (necessary for hard core skiers). The city is dull
Review 10:Great food (we tried all the dishes without pork, ham etc,) , very clean, very helpful and kind staff. We really had an excellent time.
Review 11:We had half board, the starters where nice and the deserts too where delicious. The main courses where truly awful. we tried 8 different main courses on the four nights we stayed. Bin your microwaves and your frozen vegetables, half your menu choice and try cooking fresh! we where not alone in thinking this!
Review 12:Everything about this hotel, the staff are excellent, the two ladies on reception in particular where very kind and welcoming. Marcus was our ski instructor and he was superb, really funny and with great teaching skills. Great hotel, fantastic position, great staff. Really good breakfast with loads of choice.
Review 13:The evening meal and breakfast were reasonably priced, but the quality of some of the dishes was slightly disappointing.
Review 14:Excellent value for money - this was outside the ski season. Good bedroom and really nice bathroom. Games rooms would be useful for families - gym facilities for those who want them. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Review 15:Could hear some traffic noise in room, and wasn't impressed with overlooking the wall of the building next door and the rubbish bins! Wonder if this is the room you get when booking on a cheap deal? No views at all, despite having requested mountain views on booking form. Would have liked tea/coffee making facilities.
Review 16:Very clean , staff friendly, easy parking, and very good breakfast. Room very spacious and confortable, with an excellent bathroom.
Review 17:Would have appreciated cofee/tea making facilities in the room but having read previous reviews we did take our own.
Review 18:The staff were excellent, very friendly and welcoming. We upgraded to a superior room which was spacious and had a feeling of luxery. Breakfast was good with a full range of the normal choices. We dined in the restaurant one evening which was good value and food. Beautiful views.
Review 19:Spacious and comfort room and bathroom. Dark design of the interior looked a bit impractical, but a number of good quality light sources can lit the interior very well or create cosy atmosphere. Andorra is not in EU and energy saving is apparently not a priority. For an illustration, total power consumption of 3 independent light systems in the bathroom had to be over 800 watt, and 2x250w powerful roof bulbs can heat shoulders and neck perfectly (must be quite nice in winter time). Similarly I must say I didn't have any feeling of unwelcome costs saving tendencies in the bar, restaurant or anywhere - regardless of the fact that hotel was rather empty in August and accommodation prices were rather low. There was also small empty fridge for brought drinks in the room and plenty of printed tourist material at the reception. We were indeed very satisfied.
Review 20:The food. Breakfast was reasonable but dinner was awful. All meat/fish on the first two nights was grossly overcooked. Third night was better, but still not good enough for 4* Hotel. Fortunately, salad 1st courses were good so didn't starve.
Review 21:The room was large and comfortable. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a good position for walking.
Review 22:There was quite a lot of traffic noise as we were at the front of the hotel. Our friends were at the rear and there was no noise. Price of drinks in the bar.
Review 23:Good value for money. Evening meal was quite expensive but there was the option to have a bar meal, we did and could not fault the quality or quantity. We were impressed with the cost and quality of a bottle of wine
Review 24:Spacious comfortable room exceptional value for money
Review 25:Position and views. Staff very helpful and friendly. Restaurant very good
Review 26:Dinner 20.00 to 22.00. too late to eat for me, would have liked two hours earlier.
Review 27:Good selection of quality meals, on half board menu.
Review 28:nothing
Review 29:friendly staff, very good restaurant ans an excellent breakfast in combination with a high hygiene standard.
Review 30:The staff were friendly and helpful, especially in the run up to our stay, responding by email as accurately as possible. The shuttle bus to the slopes was regular and good. The food in the restaurant was rich and tasty. Overall great location for skiing in Grandvalira
Review 31:The only negative was that the hotel was not near any 'après-ski' bar. After a wonderful day in the snow we could only return to our own hotel for drinks, too far from main village to walk.
Review 32:The rooms in this newly renovated and charming hotel was absolutely beautiful, spacious with modern en well equipped bathroom. Transport to and back from the slopes were very convenient. Staff very friendly , breakfast really great with a vast choice even sparkling wine.
Review 33:Nothing.
Review 34:The rooms where perfect. The food was very good value. The staff worked very hard to ensure our stay was enjoyable. The walks in the mountains around the lakes wow.
Review 35:No air conditioning and very noisy all night if windows left open as next to main road Restaurant food was good but not hot enough, especially eggs in morning and vegatables at night
Review 36:Large spacious rooms Excellent bathroom with bath and seperate shower cubicle Buffet breakfast very good Pleasant restaurant Free garage parking
Review 37:It would have been nice to have had tea/coffee making facility in the room but to be fair the cafeteria on the ground floor was always open.
Review 38:A very good 4 star hotel. The food was good with a wide choice even on a half board package deal. Excellent sized rooms and large bathrooms. English spoken by all the staff with everyone more than helpful with whatever was asked of them.
Review 39:wi fi not avalable in room only in public area
Review 40:very good location to see Andora's nature beauty not only shopping very nice and quiet very good restorant
Review 41:A truly great hotel with excellent, very nice and helpful crew (greetings from Poland !;). This is also a place with nice fireplace, good dinners and great access to slopes (via hotel bus). We have spend excellent time in Parador Canaro and we strongly recommend this place
Review 42:I do not recommend food in the restaurant. Incles great for familieswith small children; however, a bit too boring to have fun with olderkids after full day of skiing. Great that Soldeu is very close which hasa lot to offer in terms of good restaurants and nice bars.
Review 43:Great service, nice room and super huge bathroom with separate shower anbathtub. Nice breakfast and clean.
Review 44:No WIFI access in the rooms and have to go to the restaurant to use WIFI.
Review 45:recommended for families. nice spacy room, plenty of parking space indoor, kids ski slope right in front of the hotel(adults real slope by car)
Review 46:Excellent choice for families with kids of any age as well as groups of friends. Hotel has own training slope, instructors & equipment. Small kids have both an indoors playing ground and separate area for skiing and sledging on the slope. Shuttle to ski station is provided during the day by hotel and is free, it takes 2min to get to el tarter. Atmosphere is great and staff treats customers as family members. Nice big living room with chimney.
Review 47:Would have liked a kettle in the room. Meal times were very rigid (nofood available between 4 and 8pm) This presents challenges when you havea 7 and 16 year old in tow who return from 4-6+ hours skiing.
Review 48:Very Helpful and flexible. Loads of information available to get skiingquickly and easily. Great learning slopes and facilities. Door to ski-lift services for El Tarter and GrandValira network. Bus stop justoutside hotel for access to all Andorra towns. Good Games room. Highlyrecommend for families skiing with children of any age
Review 49:Flashing light on smoke alarm was annoying at night
Review 50:Good Buffett breakfast, helpful staff, cleanliness
Review 51:- the 2x2m double bed - the huge bathroom
Review 52:The room was very clean and well maintained. The location was perfect for our first visit To the area. Breakfast was very nice with many choices.
Review 53:Good facilities - own ski slope and children's playroom
