Review 1：The name of this AMAZING waterfront accommodation is totally underselling this incredibly beautiful place. This is not just a motel, it's far more than that! Though the pictures show the beauty of Lily Front surroundings, we were stunned when we arrived! It's a little paradise.The hosts are very welcoming, showed us the hot tub (!!!), the kayaks, paddle boats, the comfy little cottage we stayed in- each bedroom with amazing views on the calm waters. It's a 5 min drive to beautiful Lunenburg, the hosts told us about the scenic drive- we didn't expect that incredible postcard view of the whole town!!! A must stay when in Lunenburg area!

Review 2：Just seemed old, run down and neglected. It seems like nothing has been updated since 1960, excluding the bed. The managers were celebrating a family birthday and the music went until 2:30 AM. I understand celebration, but when you are sharing your private space with public, you need to compromise. Perhaps they could have taken the party inside. The beautiful bay outside our window could not be seen for the untrimmed brush.

Review 4：The photos show a view but the cottages face a scruffy garden, the owners untidy open door storage garage and so on. The cottages are decades old, very tired. Not much good to say but the owners were obliging.

Review 7：Best place we have stayed!!! People running the place were exceptionally nice and friendly. Very accommodating for anything you need. Rooms were super clean. Even the other people staying there were great! Warmest reception ever. I would recommend this place highly.

Review 9：The bed, the barbecue, the view, the hot tub, the friendly staff, and the many activities that we didn't even have time to take advantage of.

Review 10：Unfortunately, the motel is very outdated and would need a lot of work. The grounds were messy, even the mini putt was overgrown and not appealing. To a certain extent, it's false advertising since the photos on the site do not reflect the actual state of the property. This motel won't be successful unless the owners spend more time and money on improving the grounds!

Review 11：Our room was clean and very spacious. The room was overlooking the water, so we enjoyed spending time on the dock. The caretakers were extremely nice and social. Whenever we needed anything, they were very accommodating and tried to make our stay as pleasant as possible.

Review 12：Debbie and Art are, simply put, excellent and considerate hosts. Local knowledge goes a long way, and they are generous with the best advice for travelers 'from away.' Not to mention their down-home style of making you feel as if you were their most important guests. The units combine the rustic with the spotless, clean refurbished interiors and exteriors, good linens, and hey, can you beat the view from your harbourfront windows 24/7. Review 13：Everything, the view over the lake, the nice and clean cottage, but most of all the warmth and kindness of our hosts, who made us feel at home and ensured that all our needs were met. We were sorry to have booked only one night and would have loved to stay and relax there more days. To return!

Review 14：Debbie and Art are wonderful people - down to earth, welcoming, friendly, helpful, and kind. The property itself has so much to offer besides being so close to Lunenberg. There are chair swings, a hot tub/gazebo, mini golf, water recreation, etc...my only regret is that we didn't stay for more than one night! Our room was clean, spacious, and comfortable and even though we didn't book one with a kitchenette there was still a mini fridge and coffee maker, mugs and even wine glasses; very lovely and appreciated little touches!

Review 22：We stayed in the house with two bedrooms, full kitchen, right on the water. Kayak, canoe, paddle boats available. Host was excellent and very helpful! Place is clean, beds really comfortable. Town close by.

Review 25：Great place for kids. My grandson really enjoyed the water activities and hot tub. Also, kids were his age so I'm glad he had a chance to interact with them. No food was served, but they did recommend a great restaurant in town. Probably the best food in Canada. We'd stay again if we return to Nova Scotia.

Review 28：The grounds were not kept nice at all, the rooms were very outdated. There was suppose to be a view of the ocean, instead it was very marshy, no ocean view. There was dog poop in the grass, stunk terrible. It was on a long winding road far from Lunenburg. We cancelled our 2 rooms we had booked and went to the Information Building in Lunenburg and they found us a place to stay. It was only $20 more a night then the Lily Front Motel and much nicer. It was also walking distance to everything in Lunenburg. It was " The Bluenose Lodge"

Review 30：The location is absolutely beautiful-right on the water and just a 5 minute drive to Lunenburg. The owners live on site, so check-in was taken care of immediately and problems were addressed very quickly.

Review 45：Towels were clean. The couple who greeted us are very friendly and were only overseeing the place for the owner. They told us nothing had been done to the place for over 25 years. Place has potential but it would take hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Review 50：The staff was amazing, The room we had a 2 bedroom, kitchenette was extremely clean and comfortable. The location was beautiful. There were lots of free activities for my older children, canoeing, kayaking, games room and more,, Centrally located so you can stay there and visit many places in NS for day trips. The staff were amazing :)

Review 51：Inside and outside things were not so clean, for example cobwebs on the windows and bugs on the ceilings. When we arrived we noticed hairs on two of the beds as well as a cut nail on one of the beds. Some of the outlets did not work and the Wi Fi signal worked slowly. The water in the Hot Tub was sandy and had some brown-coloured pieces of foam-like substance. There were no hole markers on the Mini Golf course. The lock on the bathroom door in our cottage did not work. The door of one bedroom would not close properly.
