Reviews for Sporthotel Victoria

Review 1:We really liked how friendly and helpful the staff were. We had dinner in the restaurant and the food was excellent. The hotel was quiet and very comfortable. the hotel is in the centre of the town and adjacent to everything

Review 2:no tea & coffee facilities in room, toilet seat did not fit the toilet & not attached correctly, if you're bigger than average don't drop the soap in the shower...

Review 3:Location, room with a balcony

Review 4:No ceiling fan or air conditioning. (To be fair, we arrived during an unexpected heat wave, and the lack of theses items is probably not usually an issue).

Review 5:Gstaad is stunning, and the hotel is right in the centre. The staff were lovely, the room was huge, and breakfast was good.

Review 6:Bathroom in room 22 was spotlessly clean but it was rather on the small side especially shower.

Review 7:Although breakfast was good it got a bit repetitive after 4 days.

Review 8:My one major complaint was that the wifi was completely unreliable. Also, would have appreciate a bit better options for breakfast. It was primarily the standard continental fare.

Review 9:Staff are wonderful, room was large with great light. Location right on the main promenade just a short walk from the train station.

Review 10:No negatives.

Review 11:The owners are wonderful, breakfast was very good and location can't be beat. The rooms are very nice but not overly luxurious. Everything was very clean. Way more than I expected for the price.

Review 12:The rooms are close to one another you can hear people walking along the corridor and cleaning staff making noise while cleaning near by rooms.

Review 13:the location is ideal, 2 min walk from the train station and the taxi station located right in the centre village. Super friendly reception staff, really went out of their way to help, nothing seemed to be an issue. The rooms are cosy and comfortable and very clean. The breakfast is lovely with varioty of choices. Overall fantastic value for money. Highly recommended for s long weekend trip.

Review 14:The room was bit too small , however the balcony with my room was something quite useful . They should provide tea and coffee making facilities in the room .

Review 15:Very well located decent hotel with courteous , helpful management and staff . Breakfast is also quite good.

Review 16:Everything was perfect.

Review 37:location is good

Review 38:The pillow.

Review 39:The cleanliness

Review 40:Value-for-money is a bit less than other locations... but this is Gstaad, after all.

Review 41:Exceptionally friendly staff. Excellent location in the center of Gstaad -- a very short walk to the rail station. Despite its central location, it is also quiet. A wonderful stay - and I'll stay there again.

Review 42:Nothing !!!

Review 43:lovely Hotel, lovely staff, great breakfast buffet, our room was comfortable and immaculately cleaned everyday,A1 position in centre of village and only 2 mins from the station.Great value for money considering you are staying in the centre of Gstaad.

Review 44:The shower in the room was too small..i'm a slim adult but i struggled to use it with the confined space...concidering it was a superior room i was dissapointed.

Review 45:The staff were always friendly & most helpful. Room was very clean'

Review 46:The hotel site tells you that the rooms have safe, but it does not work, it has a gym, but this one is very poor and the equipment has no kind of maintenance so you can not use them and the whirlpool does not have water. Besides the gym is not open all the time so you have to go to the reception to pick up a key. Then they also allow people to lock themselves inside the gym if they want to use the steam bath, and no one can use the other facilities. The furniture in the bedrooms need to be fixed as most of the drawers in the bedroom are very hard to open/close.

Review 47:The owner was a very nice and pleasant person as well as the rest of the staff. Although the hotel does not have room service there is a restaurant connected to the hotel with nice food, and you can pick up drinks or snacks from the restaurante and take to your room.

Review 48:Nothing on the "don't like side"

Review 49:A hotel run by dedicated people; and a fantastic ambience. The rooms are comfortable and impeccably clean. This is a hotel to enjoy while you are there and a hotel to hope to get back to.

Review 50:Reception not always manned - sometimes it took a long time tofind someone

Review 51:Excellent location for my work and less than 100 metres from thestation. Friendly staff

Review 52:Could have been better with more comfort added to their beds .. The rest room is too small with less than few supplies .. Star rating is not as reported .

Review 53:Nice design .. Good location near the station.. The best view over the small city and the mountains ..

Review 54:The maids would barge into the room without knocking at early morning hours and set up all their stuff outside the room which was annoying. No toiletries except for one little soap. The walls are very thin so if you are a light sleeper, you may be very annoyed. The bedding is very basic and there is no reception after 11pm. I stayed in a double but my friend had booked a single and we essentially stayed in the same exact kind of room (where mine was twice the price.) When I mentioned this to the receptionist she didn't seem interested and said she must have gotten upgraded. If that's the case, I suggest if you are going solo to book the single. Im usually not a complainer, but if you are looking for even 3 stars, look elsewhere. The location was right in the center of town one block from the train. But all in all, not impressed.

Review 55:the location was great and the breakfast was decent.

Review 56:When I got to the hotel they were in the midst of a serious cold spell.Pipes had frozen and the heat to my room was not working for the first 2days. It took a day for the staff to get in plumber in, but theyarranged an effective space heater for me.

Review 57:Terrific location. Best pizza in Gstaad and a good value in a veryexpensive town. Continental breakfast is adequate. Comfortable andclean rooms.

Review 58:Both breakfast and kitchen were delicious.Local newspaper daily.Train and skibus stations opposite the hotel.Pedestrian zone just in front of the Hotel's door. After a whole day in Alps,a steambath offered to you power for night clubbing or walking and shopping on the pedestrian zone with famous brand names.

Review 72:bathroom and shower way too small

Review 73:Location and price. Balcony with view is Gstaad promenade.

Review 74:clean, friendly, excellent location on the pedestrian promenade, a block from the train station

Review 75:The owner was extremely rude. We did not have sope or shampoo in the room and we were payig for a superior room even though we had a classic room.
