The Convict Zuoz is located on the edge of the village, yet only a 5 minute walk from the Zuoz Train station. It offers good-value rooms, tasty food and free parking.
Mainly serving as a boarding house for pupils attending a school in the Engadine, the Convict Zuoz also provides simply furnished rooms with sinks and shared bathrooms for travelers.
Shops, banks, restaurants and the lift to the Zuoz Ski Area can be reached within a 5-minute walk or by bus.
Tasty Swiss cuisine is served on a half-board basis, but usually you can also have lunch or dinner without prior reservation.
Additional facilities include a TV room, pool table and foosball, internet stations and a library with a cozy sitting area. There is also a storage room for bikes and skis.
Outdoors there is a multi-purpose sports court, a playground and a barbecue area. The cross-country track starts right next to the Convict.

Review 3：Fantastic value (for Switzerland). Lovely, friendly, young English-speaking staff. Shared a bathroom, but at this price I didn't care, sink in the room too. Clean, spacious dining/sitting room, terrace for beers, massive bike vault. All good.
Review 4：This was slightly more expensive than another hotel in town, which had far more atmosphere and charm and where I spent my first night. As it was full for my second night, I stayed here at Convict and was therefore disappointed (in comparison). The breakfast was simply the essentials without any special baked goods or eggs.
Review 5：It was clean, simple, and about a 5-7 minute walk into the picturesque centre of the village. Fantastic view of the mountains from the dining area. The bedroom had a long shared balcony which was nice to sit at and enjoy the view of the clock-tower and village. Good price with clean shared bathrooms and shower for the room price I paid.
Review 6：Not the place to stay if you enjoy sleeping in the morning. The rooms aren't very soundproof and children screaming and running from 6:30am.

Review 41：It is a convenient place to stay, we stayed there when we were going to Scoul for thermal spring. Zuoz has beautiful environment, the mountain, the river and flowers in summer. Also they provide nice breakfast.

Review 43：Cosy little room. The staff kindly obliged changing out bunk bed to a double ( even though I had booked a bunk bed). Staff were very friendly, breakfast, a delicious spread,was included. The main attribute was the extreme cleanliness of the bathrooms and rooms. The view of the Alps from the hostel was magnificent

Review 48：This is a really sweet place and a great home base to hike in the area. The rooms are simple and functional and the shared bathrooms are very clean. The staff is great. The breakfast buffet is way above average. Overall, very good value! The location is very convenient; the train station and the central area of the town of Zuoz can be reached with a 5 minute walk. There's a quiet hours policy past 10 pm and it was taken seriously by everyone every night of my stay. Last but not least, as you arrive at Convict Zuoz you'll be welcomed by a very sweet Basset Hound who will make your day brighter and better!
