Review 1：First of all my review might be a bit biased because we suffered from "bad" weather (~20°C and clouds) during our 3-days stay. Besides, it was apparently total off-season so that we ended up being the only ones in the dining room at one evening. I am not a fan of crowded places but it certainly does not add to your relaxation and the atmosphere if you are "observed" permenantly by the waiters during dinner since there is no one else. So here are my con´s: - The hotel itself is set in a Communio which I found to be totally off-putting (feels like in a luxus prison). However, the adjacent "cities" are not very nice, maybe there is the need for this extra-security precautions. Some people might actually feel assured by that - Shockingly, no one of the staff spoke any English. I am not exaggerating and having traveled to other places in Brazil I know that this might always be an issue. I think the seclusion in the communio leads to mostly Brazilian tourists, therefore there is no need for the staff to speak English. STILL, THIS HOTEL CLAIMS TO BE 5*, it should be natural that some staff members speak some English.... Basically I really did not like the whole atmosphere of the hotel, it all seemed a bit sterile, not cosy and kind of "wannabe"-5*-hotel. In terms of pricing you might find much better hotels for cheaper money!

Review 2：- Friendly Staff and comfortable beds (but what else would you expect from a 5*-Hotel?), rooms were nice - Setting directly on the beach. However, there are numerous beaches and lagoons in the North (Paraty direction) which are at least as nice and ten times nicer

Review 3：The only thing that bothered me was the prices of the food/drinks. The hotel is already very expensive, which is ok because it is reaaally good. But the food (snacks, sandwiches, etc) is nothing special and absurdly expensive.

Review 13：Unfortunately, while we were staying at the hotel workmen put up a largeconstruction in preparation for the New Year celebrations that involvedputting large wooden poles into the swimming pool. The hotel did notinform us that this was going to happen or give an apology. We could notuse the pool or the jacazzui whilst the work was going on. On our firstmorning there was no water in the bathroom and so our breakfast wasdelayed whilst we waited for the water to be restored. When it rainedthe water came through leaks in the roof in various places in thecorridor. The hotel lost the internet connection for 24 hours. Thechoice of meals for vegetarians was very limited. Given the daily ratefor the rooms we would have expected all the facilities and services tohave been available to us or some kind of compensation when serviceswere not available.

Review 14：On the whole the hotel was a lovely place to stay with little surpriseslike a biscuit in a box waiting on our bed after the evening meal. Therestaurant, bedroom and lounge areas were spacious and beautifullyplanned. We enjoyed using the pool on one ocassion, sauna and readingroom and it was great being so close to the beach.

Review 15：I liked the private beach (a must!), sauna and swimming pool. Staff was very kind and flexible. Important to notice, we appreciated a lot the peace of the place, no loud music or animation, very quiet (something rare in Brazil...). As a vegetarian, I would say the options were acceptable for 2 days and the staff always tried to make the best. Definitely recommend this resort 3h30 from Sao Paulo.
