Reviews for Crown Hotel
Review 1:Wi-Fi didn't work in my room but I didn't mind, just went downstairs to use it.
Review 2:This hotel has very attentive staff. If I needed something and the person with the best English was not on duty, the others would phone her so I could speak to her. Breakfast was good, especially the generous serving of fresh fruit. There are only 4 rooms (is this the smallest hotel in Yerevan?) and my room which faced the back was very quiet. It was a small room but for the price absolutely fine.
Review 3:There are only 2 flights of stairs but no lift which can be a problem if you have heavy suitcases. The sausage for breakfast was a regular hot dog.
Review 4:Very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent location. (Very close to car rental companies.) Breakfast was eggs and/or sausages, good bread, cheeses, pastry.
Review 5:Eveything was just perfect ! Ina and her father Gregory (and all the other people in the hotel) are really nice people , and they just do anything to accommodate you . Breakfast is delicious , and free wifi works perfectly ! Transportation to and from the airport by Gregory for a fair price is recommended ! The location of the hotel could not be better ! Will go back to this place !!!
Review 6:Nothing.
Review 7:Clean hotel, helpful staff, good location. We enjoyed Armenia, cheap food, drink, taxies, helpful people.
Review 8:Nothing that you would expect in this price range.
Review 9:Extremely welcoming hosts, attention to any request and ready to help any time. Great location in middle of Yerevan - everything in walking distance. Unlocked wifi that works well. Best value for money.
Review 10:Location, service, and home-cooked food.
Review 11:Little room, completely uncomfortable bed, used bathroom and towels
Review 12:Only location and staff hospitality
Review 13:Great location, the staff is very nice, clean cosy room.
Review 14:There are few things that should be changed, but Armenian-Syrian cuisine makes it somewhat special.
Review 15:Rooms at the front are very noisy from traffic.
Review 16:An affordable hotel in the centre of town. Staff are friendly enough, but not super-efficient. They speak a little English.
Review 17:Nothing!
Review 18:The location really could not be better - just where Abovyan Street meets North Avenue. The staff are very friendly. There was no English spoken as it was a holiday weekend and their translator was not working. They did, however, call the translator so that I could speak to her and confirm that everything was OK. Breakfast was simple but good. the room was basic, but spacious and clean.
Review 19:what i like this hotel is on the vicinity on the city, walking distance to shops, next cities attractions, and resto. communication wouldn't be an issue - staffs cant speaks English but they are very accommodating, they tried to please us to understand and to be comfortable. >>> another thing is the best foods >>> we got a great tourist guide Mr. Arman
Review 20:The hotel is so nice and cosy place located in the very center of Erevan. The staff is friendly and helpful, they provided special menu for Great Lent, helped us to get a taxi to airport, arranged guided tours to sightseeings and gave plenty useful tips how to spend time in Erevan with pleasure :)
Review 21:They didn't know we were coming so the room was not ready, although it didn't take long. No elevators so need to carry your luggage up the stairs (although not too far up), but just in case someone has a huge suitcase. The bed was uncomfortable. Considering how perfect the location is, if they can make a few small changes to the hotel, it could be a really nice, perfect place. Although we enjoyed our stay and despite the lack of English, the staff were really nice.
Review 22:The location is perfect, within walking distance to everywhere. The staff were nice, although they don't speak a word of English so don't expect to get reference about touring the city. Breakfast was nice and they were really pleasant letting us keep our luggage until we leave and getting a cab for us to get to the airport.
Review 23:no or week Wi-Fi
Review 24:Excellent location right in the city center. Small and no-luxury, but very nice, clean and value-for-money hotel. The owner and staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was nice. Advisable for short visits in Yerevan. I think I would stay there again next time.
Review 25:The friendly owner seemed to always want to check on us, but this led to a strange incident when he walked into the room at 1am while we were sleeping, very strange
Review 26:Excellent central location Friendly staff
Review 27:great location and value for the money I think, you are in the center, walking distance to main streets, shopping, restaurants, cafes, very helpfull and friendly staff, can give info about yerevan and out of teh city trips, managed a driver for a us.
Review 28:The water pressure for the shower was weak so I as moved to another room, there was a limited improvement. I was advised the problem impacted much of Yerevan.
Review 29:The location is excellent being a 2 minute walk from Republic Square and less than 5 minutes to Mashtots (one of the main avenues). The room was comfortable and breakfast adequate. The staff are pleasant and friendly, although most do not speak English you can get by with just a few words of Russian and if there are any major issues they'll call the hospitable manager, Ina, who is fluent in English.
Review 30:Some problems with the pressure and temperature of the water for the morning shower.
Review 31:The location is superb, in the most central street of Yerevan! The owners were extremely friendly and helpful.
Review 32:The services are excelent and I recommend the hotel for short trips to Yerevan. The hotel is located at the city center and close to the touristic attractions, bars, restaurants, coffee shops and tea shops.
Review 33:The room is a bit small. Wifi is weak and the connection is sometimes difficult.
Review 34:The location is excellent. The staff is friendly although the communication is limited because English (or French) speaking people are not always present. The hotel manager can take care of the transportation to the airport.
Review 35:Beds were not comfortable; when the room was cleaned all our thingswere moved around and placed in the drawers :), it was a bit strangereally but probably well intended. We asked not to clean the roomafter that cuz it was somehow too much of invasion of privacy. Grigorytries to help a lot but we had some strange misunderstandings on basicthings - like the distance from Yerevan to surrounding sites, whencalculating taxi price, etc. However, these are minor things which canhappen anywhere.
Review 36:Overall our stay was very good; the location of this place is excellentin the very city center and it has only 4 rooms, which makes it a niceand cozy experience. The owner Grigory is very friendly and tries hisbest to accomodate the guests (it may even seem as too much at times :))but we got some helpful tips from him and he found a great taxi driverfor us. The breakfast you can choose in advance from a small menu, thefood was fresh and tasty; the ladies working in the hotel are also verynice and friendly. Wi fi worked well.
Review 37:Everything was fine! The localization is perfect. Very warm and kind staff! The room was confortable. Good breakfast - fresh and full of choices everyday. Excellent!
Review 38:the staff was bad.they smoke while i was eating my breakfast, right behind me and they said dont use body cream because we dont like the smell of your cream.and they enter to my room without permision while i was inside room
Review 39:Just the location of hotel. near city centre.
Review 40:The staff were exceptionally friendly, warm, and kind. The two ladies - Laoura, and Loucine were so sweet. The owner - Mr. Krikor and his wife Jasmina - were very kind people. The location was exeptional.
Review 41:The standard of the rooms was what you could expect from the price you paid, but with a relative small investment big improvements could and should be done. The beds and the plumbing needs first of all some attention.
Review 42:The location is superb and a real odd feeling to enter a carpet shop to get access to the hotels four rooms. The staff was very friendly and it was a luxury to be served breakfast in your room every morning exactly at the time you wished. The wifi worked OK.
Review 43:Dirty room. Very incomfortable bed. Very small room. Very poor bathroom (with almost no water). Dirty towel.
Review 44:Breakfast. Situation (in the very center of Erevan).
Review 45:It was a terrible hotel, I have never seen such a place before and Ihave travelled quite a lot and have stayed in hotels, motels and hostelsas well. It was disgusting, very difficult to describe. Even the towelsin the room had many black stains. Thank God we stayed only 1 night. Wetried to stay out as much as possible and left in the morning as earlyas possible in order to spend the least time in the room. Breakfast wasincluded in the price but we chose not to have it because by just byseeing the room, we didn't want to spend the rest of our vacation in ahospital. The reason we chose it was the location which is central, butI wish we chose some other place because there were many options and tocab it or walk a bit to the city centre would have been a much muchbetter option. I strongly dont recommend this hotel, and if anyone is ina situation like us who needed a place for just 1 night before theirapartment would be ready, and think of Crown hotel cuz its in the city,do not do it!! Pick any other hotel, even if you have to cab it.
Review 46:Its location, quite central, is perfect. Its staff are just lovely, and English and Russian speaking. Good breakfast They take Visa/Mastercard They work 24 hours a day Internet and TV everywhere in the hotel, free Perfect value for money
Review 47:I'm not a big fan of paying up front and in cash on the first day, butas they don't take credit cards, it's the only way they can be sureclients don't run out, I suppose. It's worth it for the good experience.
Review 48:Story: I had dinner with six Americans who were booked at the (veryexpensive) Marriot downtown. Their water had been turned off. I stayedat Crown, just as central (actually better located), for a quarter ofwhat they paid, about $45 usd a night. Grigor and his wife run a small, family hotel, with a few quirks--breakfast is served in your room, forinstance (it's excellent), and there really isn't a place to leave yourkey when you go out. They are both very kind and work hard to findinformation on getting around, and in and out of, Yerevan. The rooms arenot palatial, and even if you ask for a non-smoking room, be sure thatthe client before you will have smoked (it's Armenia, after all). Sojust open the windows, relax, and be happy that you have such a bargainin central Yerevan!
Review 49:The kitchen looks poor as well as the showering cloth.
Review 50:The hotel staff are very friendly with full of service mind. The hotel is central to the city. It is just a 2-minute walking to the republic square. Its location is also perfect for shopping.
Review 51:Breakfast limited, esp Sunday morning; unexpected extra costs added on when we ate in the restaurant
Review 52:Great location; friendly owners
Review 53:Sometimes were cold in room
Review 54:Noisy WC.
Review 55:Family atmosphere. Easy contact with the staff that was always ready to help. Just in the heart of Yerevan.
Review 56:everything
Review 57:No wifi.
Review 58:The hotel tried to improve the service quality.
Review 59:I was under no illusion about the hotel. I wasn't disappointed.
Review 60:It delivered what the price indicated and the staff were very helpful.
Review 61:WiFi could be better, but not critical at all.
Review 62:Everithing
Review 63:Everything TERRIBLE!!!
