Reviews for Sonnegg Hotel Garni
Review 1:Should warn travellers that it is a very steep hill to climb to hotel and no lift in hotel, so further 2 flights of stairs. It can be challenging with luggage. For the price you would expect tea and coffee in the room.
Review 2:Great view from every room as hotel is in steep hill. Friendly host and hostess and great breakfast. Loved toiletries in bathroom.
Review 3:Expensive for a (very comfortable) B and B - but maybe that is just Switzerland A steep walk back up the hill after eating in the village
Review 4:Lovely views Friendly staff (the owners) Very good wifi Exceptionally comfortable bed Very quiet (as a long way above the main road going through the village)
Review 5:Great view of the town and the valley below. Great staff. Good breakfast.
Review 6:Kind people...super
Review 7:Lovely comfortable hotel set in a classic Swiss mountain village.Excellent attention from incredibly welcoming hosts, who did everythingpossible to make my stay very pleasant. The hotel has recently beenrefurbished to a very high standard. My room had stunning views and waswell equipped. Lovely breakfast in a relaxed atmosphere as well. I needto find a reason to stay here again, soon! This hotel is a real gem, stay there and enjoy!
Review 8:Arriving by train, we found it difficult to locate the hotel which is a little way out of the village and we had to eventually ask for help. Not for the faint-hearted having to climb the 100+ steps (short cut) or walk the long road up to the hotel with baggage - on arrival; to get dinner as the restaurant was closed; and on leaving. Staff were very pleasant and helpful but not actually in the hotel for mostt of our visit. The water cooler in the foyer was welcome, but it would have been great to have been able to find a coffee or tea in the hotel.
Review 9:Lovely confortable room with amazing view of the mountains; best bed ever; helpful staff; good breakfast, free wi-fi.
Review 10:Restaurant looks very promissing, but during summer season the restaurant is open only from Thursday till Saturday nignt. We had to go to eat outside.
Review 11:Very nice and welcome staff Hotel is well maintained, typical small Swiss hotel, well decorated View (from rooms facing the mountains is very nice), very calm situation Rooms are nice, but a bit small (especially with a baby bed) Breakfast was excellent, very good choice of breads and jams.
Review 12:The staff was very very courteuos and helpfull. A great word of thanksto Fleur she was really great and made our stay a very memorable one. Thanks Fleur for all the great advice. The food at the restaurant wassumptuous. Would recommend this lovely place to everyone who's goingthere. Dr.A.P.S Sandhu & Aditi Sandhu
Review 13:Maybe not the best choice as a ski hotel becuase located good 10 min on foot from the ski lift of Zweisimmen, but manageble if you rent a locker at the lower station. Lack of bathroom amenities - not providing even a soap - quite unexpected. No elevator.
Review 14:Excellent staff; picked me up from the station with luggage for free and gave good advise how to optimize my 2-days ski weekend. Hotel renovated, everything looks new and very clean. Restaurant is outstanding for the food quality. Wi-Fi in the room worked fine with the PC. Overall to be recommended for unbeatable (especially for Switzerland) price/quality ratio.
Review 15:the mattress is too soft
Review 16:The view from the room was gorgeous! Franzizka and Marcel are very generous and friendly!
Review 17:Nothing
Review 18:Friendly owners, views, informality, peace and quiet.
Review 19:Friendly staff and good food!
