Reviews for Island Seas Resort
Review 1:Way too pricey for what you get. Had weather issues so instead of being there 4 days, 3 nights had to leave after 24 hours since the boat was being cancelled for the next two days. No help in making calls to the ferry people, charged $25.00 for completing 1 four minute call from the room trying to get on the Friday ferry vs originally scheduled Sunday ferry. the person who is to schedule the boat trips scuba diving etc was never at her desk, wasted 3 hours over two days sitting in the lobby hoping she would show up. Horrible internet @ the cost of over $13.00 a day for 1 device. Only people at the restaurant and after 25 minute had to seek out waitress who was the one who seated us. Do not recommend resort.
Review 2:the beach was amazing and it was great that the resort was right there o the beach
Review 3:We asked for a late check out - the evening staffe said 4pm for an extra $50 we agreed. When morning came we went to the pool and when we cam back we were locked out to be told that we couldn't have a late check out because the room was booked. As we turned to go back to the room a native guest walked up and requested a late check out and they gave it was granted. That was a bit unfair and I thought that was poor. The room smelled like it was closed up for a long time.the pool was a merky.
Review 4:We liked the location on the beach, very quiet, room size was perfect. The breakfast was great and restaurant staff was very friendly lovely property overall but has it's issues.
Review 5:very small beach, resort costs, not enough outdoor furniture to enable us all to sit on the balcony together, no wifi in apartments, no linen for sofa bed and had to ask for it four times
Review 6:location on the beach, friendly and accommodating staff, shuttle bus to Port Lucaya
Review 7:By the check-in we didn't get any information what the other guest got (where is the grocery store, shuttle service, etc.), we got just very few attention at the check-in. We didn't have any towels in the room we needed to ask twice. The wifi was very expensive.
Review 8:Private beach. Hospitality room. Luggage storage. Most of the staff friendly.
Review 9:The bed was uncomfortable and the WiFi worked occasionally. Most of the staff did not even say hello.
Review 10:The two bedroom villa is actually a condo not a villa but it is really nice. We liked also the facility. It was beautiful and right by the beach.
Review 11:Room not ready until 5pm and then being hassled 3 times between 9am and 9.45am to be checked out by 10am. Being hassled to attend time share show. Not enough toilet facilities around the pool. Prices in convenience store were expensive.
Review 12:Size of room. Location on beach and the pool.
Review 13:There is no cleaning service garbage piled up during my stay and they was quite comfortable..I enquired and was told they only clean once a week that's not good enough at least every two days would suffice. .....had to request a change of towels ......Internet is also not up to speed.
Review 14:The facility is nice and comfortable
Review 15:We had 1 bedroom villa. Floor was VERY sandy. You could not walk from kitchen to bathroom without your feet being VERY sandy. It was funny how the room service lady slept on the stairs so we had to climb past her. Obviously it was a low season and there were very few guests at the hotel but the staff made us feel the same - they were quite lazy. Still we were there and would have wanted more enthusiastic service (we ordered a lot of cocktails etc). Quite expensive food in the restaurant as well as coconut bar. No breakfast. We asked for upgrading to all inclusive for our weekend stay but they said it is not recommended (in the reception). Thankfully there was a shop where to buy food.
Review 16:Hotel was good. We liked it. Hotel beach was very nice and pool as well. Really good cocktails from the bar. Only guys offering drugs (as well as food and drink and seashells) down at the beach were annoying.
Review 17:all was good but no free airport shuttle; however the price was reasonable
Review 18:The facilities are excellent. I had a full apartment with double sliding door windows (two full views) and double balconies. It's is amazing how the water is so close, but remains at bay. REally-you are aT the shoreline. You don't have to walk far along the beach. 10 steps out and you are IN the water. I went in low season. I like space and peace.
Review 19:Employees asking if you want a snorkel and all you have to do is go for a breakfast, in the end you get a big interview for buying houses. Nobody told us this was the subject of the conversation. This is not what I'm looking for when I have holidays.
Review 20:The internet was a huge problem. There was NO wi-fi in the room or throughout the facility. If you wanted to get online you had to go to the lobby and even that was very poor.
Review 21:The room was nice with a full kitchen. Outside the beach was well maintained and the pool and bar was convenient. The onsite restaurant was good but you paid resort prices.
Review 22:The staff is generally unkind, not helpful and very slow. It takes at least 1½ hours for a burger at lunch. The room cleaning is done only once a week, on Wednesdays. The other days you have to ask for clean towels and toilet paper. It is generally very quiet but with a dull atmosphere.
Review 23:The structure is quite nice and the beach magnificent.
Review 24:We had to wait 1 hour in the freezing lobby to check-in because they said they couldn't find our booking.com reservation!! We asked for at least a drink but they didn't want to offer us anything, saying that it was "booking.com" fault, not their! Then they gave us a room on the other side of the road (far from the sea). They call it "villa", but it's apartment. At the check-out they asked us to pay almost the double of what we had on our reservation confirmation, because they didn't want to take into account the "online price" !!!!
Review 25:the beach
Review 26:wifi is more than frustrating. Staff is inattentive and will say what it takes to make you go away.
Review 27:The beach is absolutely beautiful. Please make your way down to Bernie's, which is a little food shack at the end of the beach (make a left as you face the water and walk 500 ft). Bernies was exactly the Bahamian food experience I was looking for....great owners, bare bones facilities, only fresh seafood located on a pristine beach.
Review 28:The property needs serious updating. Old furniture, cabinets tub enclosure dull/moldy tub valve handle and really unappealing to want to use it. Internet access should be free at these hotel prices. It felt like the dark ages. Make sure you keep all your exterior and interior light bulbs replaced on the buildings and in units: appearance matters.
Review 29:The property is on a beautiful beach
Review 30:The shuttle bus only went to the grocery store once a week on a Monday. However there was a conveneince store at the resort
Review 31:There was a private beach which only the resort guests could use. It was quiet and very relaxing
Review 32:Drinks are expensive everywhere you go.
Review 33:Ocean view from the room and small balcony. The staff were entertaining and made us comfortable. It is a timeshare property, so we did the 90 minute tour which compensated us very well - breakfast, snorkeling and kayaking. The food on site was also good. There are a few places withing walking distance to eat and party. A van took us to the marketplace where there are plenty of places to eat, shop, and drink. Made lots of friends and can't wait to get back!!
Review 34:Wifi was down during the entire stay
Review 35:Just about everything
Review 36:Got in after 9 pm and no restaurant was opened.
Review 37:loved the cocktail selection at the bar.
Review 38:The stuff even dont show us the room, breakfest, nothing, everything we muss search self
Review 39:Room was big and nice
Review 40:Transpo
Review 41:Poor signal in the room. However the signal was excellent on the patio
Review 42:Room and location excellent
Review 43:The beach was great, the outdoor areas including the pool were very nice, and the condo was roomy. The staff was so nice.
Review 44:The floor cut our grand daughters feet. The roughness for traction is too sharp.
Review 45:Beach & room
Review 46:no wifi in rooms
Review 47:the local staff
Review 48:The pool was closed during our stay.
Review 49:Close to the beach, good food, very helpful staff, big room.
Review 50:Food in restaurant, if you decide to get free wifi and gifts in exchange for listening to a timeshare presentation that is supposed to take 90 minutes beware that it took 3 hours for us and that's when we told her that it took way too long!
Review 51:Beautiful beach, spacious rooms, nice grounds, overall very nice resort.
Review 52:Not the spot to go if you have older children/teenagers, as there are no activities, unless you go off the resort and pay a lot of money.
Review 53:Beautiful location, very clean and well maintained beach and grounds. Ideal for anyone who wants a quiet, relaxing beach vacation.
Review 54:Shuttle into Port Lucaya several times a day, excellent food in restaurant, relaxing atmosphere
Review 55:Being hassled from timeshare sellers on roads and beaches near resort.
Review 56:pricey food and drinks limited means of transport
Review 57:beautiful beach just next to the resort very friendly staff own kitchen
