Reviews for Hotel Post

Review 1:Rooms are wonderful. Excellent value for money and great views. Right at station. The food was great! We had the lunchtime meal of the day and it was our best meal in Switzerland

Review 2:Nothing

Review 3:1. Wonderfully convenient location right next to the station 2. Very comfortable beds and very clean and cosy room 3. Excellent dinner and pizza options 4. Nice breakfast with boiled eggs as the warm option

Review 4:Very clean and cosy, has also water boiler and hair drier. Good service.

Review 5:Friendly staff, and clean accommodation

Review 6:We made an awful experience at this hotel, and will not recommend thisplace to our family and friends. We were received at the hotel by a man whose manners are reminiscent of those of a Parisian waiter, and unworthy of the "Gastfreundschaft" one has learned to expect in Berner Oberland. We were at first only unimpressed, but things turned ugly when we handed in the registration form. When asked for my identity card ("Ausweis"), I explained that since we live in Switzerland, we do not travel with one. Instead of offering ways to solve the problem, he exclaimed in no sympathetic tones "so how do I know who you are then !". I took out my driving license (which includes full name, photo and place of origin) and offered it to him as proof of identity. He threw it across the desk, saying that this is of no use to him. I demanded to see his manager. He replied that he is the manager, he and his wife own the hotel. I turned to my partner and suggested we leave. The man then addressed my partner (I had been doing the talking, since I speak German), from then on ignoring me entirely, mumbling "ok, ok", gave my partner the key and directions to the room. An apology, then or later, would probably have mollified us enough and changed our bad impressions. Unfortunately, no attempts in that direction have been made, and we left the hotel the next day quite frustrated.

Review 7:With our original booking two months before the trip, we had made arequest and asked a couple of questions, and there was never a responsefrom the hotel, and the staff seemed very confused about ourreservation when we arrived. Admittedly, it was an unusual andcomplicated reservation (3 rooms for one night; then 2 rooms for onenight three days later, after we'd finished the WildstruebelTraverse; then a cancellation of one room because our Montenegrinfriends decided to meet us the first morning of the hike instead ifstaying in the hotel). I wonder if perhaps the staff doesn't knowabout the message or request field on the booking form, because theycertainly had some English speakers. But they were very pleasant andaccommodating in person.

Review 8:The location was incredibly convenient for train travel. We were on asix-week trip that was really three trips in one (hiking in Switzerland, business conference in London, and casual travel in the Mediterranean),necessitating a lot of luggage. The hotel was literally right behind thetrain station, so we had to carry those bags remarkably few steps.

Review 9:The reception is too dark and unfriendly. Needs some new refurbishment!

Review 10:clean room and facilities OK for a short stay! If you travel by train, just right by the station. Quiet and good breakfast. Pizzas were very good.

Review 11:The hallway reeked of thick smoke. If you are allergic to smoke, as I am, this would not be a good choice. It's too bad, because everything else was wonderful.

Review 12:The breakfast was excellent. The coffee was excellent. Espresso was available. The room was spacious. The shower worked well.

Review 13:Easy walk from the station to the hotel. Lovely outlook, restaurant on site, good breakfast.
