Review 1：Personally I would have preferred to have a real double bed instead of two single beds placed next to each other, and the beds were too hard for my back. This would be my only complaint.

Review 3：The staff are wonderful. If you want a break from big, modern hotels, this is quaint and fun and friendly. And the location is out of the heart of Wengen, so very quiet and peaceful.

Review 5：I cannot say enough wonderful things about this hotel.The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious (home-made preserves and fresh bread, yogurt and fruit, eggs, cheese...), and Martina was very helpful as we planned our hikes and adventures over our coffee and looked out at the mountains each morning (the South facing views are incredible!). Dinner at the hotel was review worthy in itself, but the real key to this place was most certainly the hosts - they made us feel so welcome and comfortable right away and were so attentive to the little details. The decor may be a bit cozy, but that's exactly what you want in the mountains!

Review 12：Great location, five minutes or less from the station and across from a hay meadow. Family-run. Excellent, Understated menu in the restaurant, specializes in local fish, bread made from scratch, and other local and regional sourcing (not your fondue place for sure). The rooms are entirely vintage with appropriate updates.

Review 13：We especially remember the welcome, friendliness, charm, fantastic views, helpfulness with all our many questions, delicious fresh homemade food, feeling of being part of a genuine family and village in Switzerland. The village and people there were a pleasure to mingle with. The folkloric show provided by local people was a wonderful experience. All highly recommended!

Review 14：Getting here was bit tricky. I had to take four trains from Geneva with very short layovers at each connection. The trains are serviceable but not terribly comfortable. I did feel safe at all times, though, as much as possible as a solo traveler in a country where I spoke very little of the languages.

Review 15：This is a family-run property. It is run in a top-notch, personal way. It is not fancy but it is comfortable and is very well-tended. They speak absolutely perfect English as well as other languages, so it is very welcoming that way. I loved staying here. It was a highlight of my trip.

Review 16：Everything really. We knew the location is probably one of the best in Wengen and the hotel has a great reputation which is deserved. Family run and very welcoming and friendly. First time we have stayed here and got * treatment being given the 3rd floor (top) apartment suite which has plenty of room, a huge balcony with that stunning view.

Review 18：The receptionist Martina and her father are nice and helpful. The hotel is in the quiet location, the view of Jungfrau is breathtaking from some room balconies. Breakfast is rich.

Review 19：Walking to the hotel may take about 10mins or so from the main tourism shopping area of the village. It's peaceful though to be slightly far away from the crowd but, to each his own.

Food at the dining was good. One of the hotels with seafood on their menu. Awesome view of the Jungfrau when u take the Superior room. Worth the additional cost paid for.

Review 21：This is a small family run hotel and it felt like we were welcomed into their family. The hotel has a classic feel and a great location in a quiet part of the village. There is a wonderful sitting room with a fireplace and comfortable furniture. Nice ski room off the front lobby so no hauling skis up or down stairs. The food was great as well. When we go back to Wengen we will stay here for sure!

Review 24：I would like hotels in Europe to have a flat sheet on all beds. Whensomeone is hot, it is always nice to have the option of only using asingle sheet. Plus a bed made with comforter over the whole bed isprettier. I did not ask for a flat sheet, maybe it would have beenprovided. The last time I asked for one I got a duvet cover with has twothicknesses. All these items mentioned do not take away from thefacility just mentioning them for the hosts reference.

Review 25：The location had a wonderful common room to use for sitting. Thebreakfast was one of the best in our trip, offered at optional times.The staff was very helpful and informative. The room had many hooks andcubicles to put your clothes and articles in the bathroom.

Review 26：Pillows are very flat like sheets. Even if you stack 2 pillows, there is absolutely no cushion. Towels smell very bad.

The train ride to Wengen takes approximately 20 minutes.Please note that the guest house offers transfer from Wengen train station.
