Review 7：Ilhabela lacks infrastructure and who goes there has to be prepared for it. Ferryboat is always a problem. Suggestion: wardrobe depth does not match with hangers making it difficult, sometimes, to slide doors left to right and vice-versa.

Review 13：The communication between the reservation team and restaurants was not good. We stayed at dpny in order to Celebrate my wife's birthday. Therefore, our pre-booking included a 'special diner package' (diner on the beach with a dedicated waiter, flowers), a breakfast in room and room decoration. Unfortunately, the breakfast in room was not delivered at the time agreed so we had to go to the regular buffet. A staff member kindly offered complementary drinks to apologise. For the 'special diner', the tent on the beach was really beautiful with candles and the feeling to be on our own. Unfortunately, the service from the waiter also made us feel alone. We had to wait a long time between each dish which made the experience less enjoyable. The waiter disappeared for at least 15 min looking for a lighter to switch on the candles. We also pre-booked via the reservation centre a diner without alcohol. Still the waiter came with a bottle of champagne and then took at least 15min to come back with our juices. Overall, not the level of service one would expect from such a place displaying such tariffs.

Review 14：The location and the service were really good. The entire place transpire a relaxing atmosphere as soon as you arrive at the front desk. The restaurants (troiha and suchi) provide a great experience. The food tastes good and the service is professional. The beach is quiet and great for sunbathing, swimming and water sports. The room was quiet (good noise isolation) despite our room facing the road side. The massage was of good quality (relaxing). The check in and check out we're efficient and we even had a breakfast box since the restaurant wasn't opened at the early hour when we left.

Review 34：There are approximately 80 rooms in the hotel and 160 employees.Basically, the realtionship guest vs staff is 1 to 1. Even though, theservice was below expectations. We ordered a "guarana" at thebeach. It took us 5 minutes to be noticed at the beach, waving to thewaiter and then other 10 minutes to have the soda. My husband literallyhad to go to the bar and take the soda from the waiter who was standingthere, chatting with other staff while my soda was sweating and gettingwarmer in the hot sun. In general, the service was poor and we got upsetseveral times. It started by our arrival. The room smelled like sewerand we had to complain to switch rooms. The second room was at the endof a hall, badly illuminated and we could barely put the key on thekeyhole. The hotel doesn't treat plants or room to prevent bugs anddidn't provide bug repelent in the bathroom beauty kit. It was onlyavailable for sell with a shocking price. We were literally eaten by thebugs even using Off! On our second day at the hotel, the room was notcleaned or made up until late afternoon when we complained and had toask at the reception for cleaning service. By the check out time, therewas a huge line almost ending on the sidewalk and we had to wait forthem to check the room and then verify the bill. There was no pre-checkout statement sent during the last night or any system adopted by thehotel to prevent huge lines and waiting into the hot reception duringseveral minutes. For the price paid and for the level of excellenceclaimed, the service is far from being a 5 star or boutique hotel.

Review 35：The beach club is one of the best in the region and the food at theTroia restaurant is amazing. My husband had some food restrictions andthe chef went to our table to offer options in cooking and preparing aspecial meal for him. There's a big external pool and an internalone. Never tried the spa, so I cannot offer a good or bad review on it.Too bad the service is no up to a 5 star hotel.

Review 36：1) Horrible smell on the beach (like sewage).2) I asked the waiter if it was safe to eat the seafood after the recent oil spill and he replied that that it is not a problem as seafood is only purchased once a month!! 3) a 250ml bottle of water costs R$7.50 each! Robbery! Not only that but its imported all the way from Italy--totally unnecessary for a hotel that should work off environmental sustainability! Only after asking water was a told that there is another water option-sao lorenzo which is local and cheaper.

The lounge chairs on the beach were amazing, the drinkswere delicious, and the Troia restaurant was fabulous and fairly priced!The beach was being constantly cleaned, and whenever it rained theyquickly removed all chair covers and replaced them once the rainstopped. Would recommend to anyone!
