Reviews for Hotel Poblado Kimal

Review 1:A little bit tasteless ... If you do appreciate the sort of all inclusive hotels when you could find something still true in the immediate neighbourhood ... Go SPA is very touristic but it is still possible to be with with real Atacamenas

Review 2:The noise from the nearby nightclubs made it difficult to sleep (but not the fault of the hotel). It might have been nice to have a TV so that we could keep in touch with the world news, check the weather, etc.

Review 3:Staff were very kind , helpful and accommodating. They helped me print our boarding passes for our Santiago flight. The breakfast was very good. The beds were very comfortable. The shower always had hot water.

Review 4:Our room smelled strongly of insecticide. When we complained we were told by staff that they have to spray due to insects in the thatched roof. The smell was very unpleasant and potentially harmful.

Review 5:The location is good.

Review 6:Nothing!

Review 7:Great location, rooms were wonderful and comfortable, lovely staff- especially at the spa. Jane was so helpful with arranging our massages and we did an amazing yoga class with her too!

Review 8:we wanted to pay cash but they had the booking confirmation effective even before we arrived. it will be better if they have us confirm the manner in which we want to pay.

Review 9:very nice staff. Love location.

Review 10:The reception staff was so helpful; above and beyond for recommendations and information. It was a great location, just a few steps off the main street but quiet.

Review 11:no bad experience

Review 12:Hotel arranged tours, which were more intimate than the large-scale tours organized by the big companies. Tour guides were very knowledgeable.

Review 13:They are awfully expensive but that's just San Pedro in general. Nights can get very hot and stuffy as there is no a/c and the little fan in the room doesn't help much.

Review 14:location, staff, breakfst, Food in the restaurant, layout of the cabañas.

Review 15:Cabanas near reception are noisy due to foot traffic and trucks on street so would suggest something in the back. Also, the restaurant can be uncomfortably cold - bring a jacket and try to sit near the gas heater and ask them to light it ;)

Review 16:Had an excellent stay here. Wonderful staff, great hot water, great location - easy walking distance to main streets. Very good restaurants (one for breakfast and one for dinner) Ample box breakfasts for early flights/tours. There is overnight laundry service available but I did not try this.

Review 17:- Breakfast options are quite limited and starts rather late at 7.15 am. However for early tours the staff prepares packed breakfast - The night staff does not speak English.

Review 18:- Location is excellent very close to San Pedro's main street "Caracoles" - The rooms are individual bungalows and the space is ample. - Bungalows are all very authentic, made of timber and thached roofs. - There is good heating available in the room - No street noise - Quite secure and safe

Review 19:I did have two single beds. I asked to change us to a double bed room or give us some other alternatives and the staff did not make any attempt into helping us to feel better.

Review 20:The welcoming drink, the location and place was always clean.

Review 21:All guests are required to leave the key to the room in reception, they told us this is to prevent the key from being lost and in order to coordinate the cleaning services.

Review 22:Excellent breakfast and if you are going on an early morning tour they pack you a breakfast to take with you. When we went out in the afternoon, we would arrive at the room to find that they had turned on the heat and lights, which was very nice as the nights are cold.

Review 23:Not much really

Review 24:Loved the pool, the rooms were nice large and spacious with great showers. Great helpful staff

Review 25:Individual chalets with patios. Central location. Excellent breakfast.

Review 26:Bed was terrible. No wifi even in reception

Review 27:Perfect location. Staff were friendly and helpful. concept of small huts wonderful

Review 28:Nothing

Review 29:Individual shaded chalet rooms with veranda, comfy bed, free welcome pisco sours!

Review 30:Room Heater was not working properly.

Review 31:Location, Friendly Staff, Breakfast, Pool & Jacuzi

Review 32:The place and the excursions the hotel organize.

Review 33:Perfect location, great tours, very comfortable bed, great experience.

Review 34:Excelente comida , y arquitectura

Review 35:Some stuff people were not as friendly and helpful as others.

Review 36:Breakfast and the room were the best

Review 37:A little expensive

Review 38:Good facilities

Review 39:Room small , toilet worn out. Bed small .

Review 40:Location

Review 41:As it seems the norm in SPdA, overpriced.

Review 42:Very friendly and helpful staff, speaking German!

Review 43:staff was not prepared and seemed lost when help was requested

Review 44:location

Review 45:Price and proximity with other rooms

Review 46:Cold staff at the fronte desk

Review 47:Internet connection could use some enhancement (boost) to ease communication worldwide.

Review 48:Extensive Comfort & Services

Review 49:The staff are great Very clean room Nice pool Beautiful hotel Great food

Review 50:The heater broke down and wasn't fixed, so one of three nights was cold

Review 51:Location, welcome pisco sour, ambiance, nice staff

Review 52:Still expensive, in absolute terms

Review 53:Good location Comfort exceeded my expectations

Review 54:I did not like not being able to sleep too well.

Review 55:I loved it all!

Review 56:- Surroundings under construction - Early check out - considering tour schedules

Review 57:- Chocolate on bed - Room temperature comfort - Breakfast

Review 58:The wifi didn't work very well, but there was a computer for internet use in the lobby which was great.

Review 59:The rooms were built in the traditional style which is quite quaint. Very cozy and the ideal place to share with a loved one. Location was excellent and staff were very helpful. The hotel was definitely a sight for sore eyes after 23 hours of travel.

Review 60:The weather was quite cold and unfortunately we had no hot water for over 24 hours.

Review 61:The location was excellent, the accommodation was comfortable, the staff were helpful and attentive. Staff were very accommodating when we had to change dates at very short notice due to an airline cancellation. This was much appreciated.

Review 62:The bathrooms were basic, and hot water intermittent. The Breakfast in the resturant was poor. The coffee cold. For a $200 per night hotel, I thought the value for money was not there.

Review 63:The rooms were private, location good, resturant (for evening) good, we were offered 10% discount upon checking in & a "welcome drink" at the resturant

Review 64:The hotel is right next to the main shopping/eating streets, and the staff was always kind and attentive. The tours offered by the hotel are top notch, specially thanks to the enthusiasm of the guides.

Review 65:Wifi does not work in rooms only in reception area. Breakfast is served on the other side of the street in their other (main) hotel. This is luxurious camping. Considering other options in San Pedro, this is still good, but all things considered, overpriced.

Review 66:Nice independent rooms, pretty garden, good location close to the main road and quiet

Review 67:This hotel doesn't have an internet connection, its sister hotel over the road does. The room was great except unfinished, it's new and it shows (paint marks, a broken towel rail). Really not worth the price but I expect the sister hotel is much better value for money.

Review 68:The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the location is great, very nice and secluded.

Review 69:a bit overpriced for a hotel in the desert

Review 70:Friendly and helpful staff (special thanks to lovely Manuel!), nice and really spacious cabana, good breakfast. Nearby restaurant in Hotel Kimal is also a good option to have dinner. Everything in San Pedro is in short walking distance from the hotel.

Review 71:Paid $175 USD and expected air conditioning especially with it being summer in the desert. Wifi was TERRIBLY SLOW and only available in public areas.

Review 72:Loved the privacy of having our own cabana. Rooms were spacious and bathroom and shower were a good size! The location is excellent with being a 30 second walk to sin street Caracoles. Best pisco sours in Chile hands down! Complimentary welcome drinks were a nice touch!

Review 73:There isn`t a place to spend time out of your room. Last day we have to get bus to Arica a 8,30 pm. and we have no place to spend the time from 1pm to 8 pm. We think it is too expensive for the facilities it has.

Review 74:Location and staff

Review 75:Very estrict at check-out time, with no possibility of late check-out.Expensive restaurant. Pricey for the services and quality offered (maybeit's usual in San Pedro de Atacama).

Review 76:Big and clean bedroom with a/c, very good location.

Review 77:After flying 12 hours to Chile from Australia, waiting at the airportfor 4 hours for next flight, 1 1/2 hour bus to San Pedro we finallymade it to our hotel! Our hut was clean, bathroom in excellent conditionand staff were super friendly! We had an early wake up the next day andthey packed us a breakfast bag to go which was fantastic!

Review 78:A little overpriced for what it is.

Review 79:Excellent location, good breakfast (will give you only okay box lunch if you leave on early morning tour). Nice staff, showers have warm water.

Review 80:Internet connection wasn't great.

Review 81:We loved Poblado Kimal. The staff were friendly and helpful, the rooms were well-heated (apparently not a given in San Pedro), the location was perfect - close to everything but still quiet and secluded. A really good stay.

Review 82:They were very strict on late check-out although middle of the week and hotel half empty. No smoking allowed anywhere even outside my hut. Single bed too small and matress too soft.

Review 83:Charming hut. Very well located. Nice and helpful staff. Good food at the restaurant. Decent breakfast.

Review 84:Services overpriced

Review 85:Really nice location, staff really friendly

Review 86:Breakfast selection, rooms close to the street to noise and breakfast start to late knowing that tours start to early.

Review 87:the room is not well maintained wifi is dramatically instable

Review 88:nice big room swimming pool

Review 89:personnel is quite unfriendly and not very "serviceable"

Review 90:Breakfast selection pretty poor with unhelpful breakfast staff.

Review 91:Great cabana-style rooms right around the corner from the main street of San Pedro.

Review 92:A very cool place to stay - the rooms and hotel were clean and comfortable and the staff were friendly and helpful

Review 93:Excelente desayuno e infraestructura
