Reviews for Chateau Mont Sainte-Anne

Review 1:1. 2 emails pre stay reminding us of the rules 2. Aggressive pitch to upgrade room at check-in from "old" room to "renovated room" 3. Old voicemail left on room system with uncomfortable message 4. Lobby store closed for "back in 5" minutes was 15. Staff stood outside locked door talking for 10 minutes when they reappeared.

Review 2:Nice corporate hotel. Great location

Review 3:stay in a unrenovated room, but even though it was out dated it was very clean, and very comfortable.

Review 4:Hot tub, sauna, pool, balconies, view of mountains, lobby, the grounds. Very relaxing and comfortable

Review 5:I would have liked to have gone to the top of the mountain to view the scenery, but the gondola was not running for that. $14 for a buffet breakfast seems a bit high. If they had someone making omelets, then price would have been more in line.

Review 6:The bed was great, very comfortable. I like having the dishes and utensils in the room, with a microwave.

Review 7:I did not get the room type advertised on Booking.com when reservation was made. Instead I was offered an old , outdated room with dirty carpet and old furniture and appliances. to get the original room I had to pay extra fee as an upgrade.

Review 8:Staff was helpful.

Review 9:We didn't use the kitchen facilities in our unit, but I would say that it looked functional but certainly not elaborate. Other than that, all good.

Review 10:The Chateau is about the only high quality accommodation available on the mountain. While an older building, it has been kept up. If skiin/ski out is important, the Chateau is for you.

Review 11:however, if you hate paying for 1980 hotel decors and experience, do not go there.

Review 12:if you want to be located literaly at the bottom of the gondola, this is the place.

Review 13:The gym was from 1990 and had no free weights, just an old pulley machine. People that enjoy outdoor sports usually take their fitness seriously. The gym did not accommodate more than one or two people at a time. It was the worste hotel gym I have ever seen.

Review 14:Thé staff was very kind, probably the best I've seen. The breakfast buffet was filled with healthy options to eat. Fruit, cold cuts, poached eggs and more great options were availabile.

Review 15:No bad experiences, but would like the hotel to offer a quick and simple bacon and egg breakfast as opposed to a full fledged, pricey buffet.

Review 16:Ski in ski out is such a treat, and a relaxing outdoor hot tub in snowy surroundings fits the bill really well after a day's ski. Service was excellent and expedient.

Review 17:the room: old furniture, small room, pay extra for the kids (40$/night for 2 kids) even if sharing the same beds; breakfast not included for this price;

Review 18:the location

Review 19:The Bistro food was not very good. We tried going there twice to give it a 2nd try and they disappointed us the 2nd time also. Presentation of food was nice, but fish was overcooked, deserts were stale, generally the food was below expectations. Not many other restaurant choices nearby was also disappointing.

Review 20:Location and room was as expected.

Review 21:Most movies are in French Kitchen little bit small. Sometimes the room was cold Wifi very bad in the room

Review 22:The bed is so comfortable The pool, sauna,Jacuzzi are so amazing. The cinema is good. The location is perfect.

Review 23:Buffet breakfast was poor and overpriced at $18 the waiters who did nothing as it was a buffet, just brought a bill and expected a tip, wrote it in themselves, which I know is normal in the US/Canada sometimes but not when there hasn't been any service and they are miserable, typically arrogant, French Canadian service staff.

Review 24:Fantastic room, lots of space, clean and well designed. Great coffee machine. Fast internet and some really good facilities.

Review 25:new rooms with comfortable beds and a relaxing lounge area that includes a kitchen setup.

Review 26:The staff were excellent, our room terrific, the view was wonderful. Our balcony was a added bonus. Can't think of anything that was negative.

Review 27:Hotel on hill site. Hotel accommodated us with our hill side and balcony room request. Very convenient being right at the hill

Review 28:the staff, the room, the meals

Review 29:Being with family.................especially grandkids in the next room:)))

Review 30:Old outdated room with dirty carpet.

Review 31:Location to the mountain terrific - beautiful area.

Review 32:The hotel has many gorgeous rooms, I did not get one.

Review 33:The location to the mountain

Review 34:A slow heating in sauna.

Review 35:I like everything about hotel, staff, restaurant, chef, a waiter.

Review 36:Nothing there out of season. Must have a car and do coast road to explore Charlevoix region.. beautiful

Review 37:Nordik restaurant

Review 38:Piscine a besoin de rénovations

Review 39:Localisation

Review 40:Room had broken items and was dated.

Review 41:Location and amenities.

Review 42:Very outdated and run down rooms.

Review 43:Kinda smells funny in the room.

Review 44:Close to everything

Review 45:Avoided restaurant based on poor recs; it was also quite busy due toconvention on site

Review 46:Location - proximity to Quebec City but rural setting.Extremely QUIET rooms, even with place being fully booked with a convention.

Review 47:The price of the restaurant.

Review 48:The hotel was like a beautiful ski lodge. The setting is breathtaking abd the fire pit in the lobby added a wonderful atmosphere. Ate dinner in the restaurant on the premises. Service was poor but the food good and more upscale. Very expensive to eat there.

Review 49:Not clean enough, outdated rooms and kitchens not safe enough, especially for small kids ,hotel play room for kids - not clean enough, broken toys

Review 50:Good location, good breakfast (upon subscription), family-friendly

Review 51:When I booked the room via booking.com, the first night was paid automatically and money was "charged" on my credit card, however, a week later when I checked in at the hotel they said that it had not been paid in advance and they could not find the transaction ?!?!? I left the hotel without paying and they will call me if they still can't find that transaction. I think there is an administrative problem between booking.com and Chateau Mont Ste-Anne.

Review 52:If you need to be on Mont Ste-Anne, this is the best place to stay.

Review 53:The beds were very uncomfortable. The kitchenette was dated and ourfridge did not work. As well, there was a small 'electricalfire' when we went to use the hairdryer. The facilities could usesome updating. As well, it was expensive.

Review 54:The location was great. I really enjoyed the access to the hot tubs andthe live music every night (guitar player).

Review 55:Both restaurants were awful and overpriced for what was offeredthere was limited dishes/cutlery/glasses in the housekeeping unit

Review 56:Proximity to the hillhousekeeping suite bathrobes available sauna housekeeping staff front desk staff

Review 57:The general state of the facility is tired and needs to be refreshed. The front desk staff were not efficient and made mistakes.

Review 58:Room was very nice. As was the spa and the main restaurant.

Review 59:The oversall cleanliness of the room, espacially the barthroom (stains on the floor, leaking faucet, noisy fan) The 30+ year old TV set. Modern hotels have flat screen. This hotel would benefit from a major overhaul.

Review 60:The location, the food at the restaurant Le Bistro and the buffet breakfast

Review 61:Room telephone, and side table were dirty, shower had hair in it and ondemand movies not working

Review 62:Hot tub, ski in and out, Zebo pizzeria, fireplace in lobby andentertainment

Review 63:The partially renovated room (double queen suite) was terrible. The oldwall heater had not been removed aand it was filthy! (Electric heatershave been installed) The bathroom was old - as was the kitchenette.Floors and counter tops so old and discoloured that they appeared dirty. No dressers in the room. No pictures on the walls. Very spartan. I wouldnever stay in one of these rooms. Plus they allow pets!

Review 64:Upgraded Nordik rooms are lovely. Beds are new and luxurious.(Although we found the previous guest's underwear in a drawer, andthere was lipstick on the pillow case) When we ran into problems withthe first room because there had been animals in it, they moved uswithout question.

Review 65:This hotel is right on the ski hill. We stayed in the summer so the rates were reasonable. Though it calls itself 4 star, it is a tired 4 stars. The hotel needs some renovations. Our non-delux room was comfortable but the balcony was just big enough to hang bathing suits. We went to the Chateau to do hiking and found some good hikes. The hill also seems to be a good place for downhill mountain biking.

Review 66:Some of the dishes cutlery were put away greasy.Just a dream of mine but it would be nice to have a pool large enough to do laps in the am.

Review 67:Large rooms, casual comfortable atmosphere. Balconies scenary mountainair Groovy 70's vibreception / check staff friendly professional courteous.

Review 68:We were woken up at 7:45 am by renovations on the floor above. This was very frustrating since we had gotten in quite late so our sleep was cut short. The hotel did however comp us the upgrade we had paid for the renovated room so that was nice.

Review 69:Well priced for a nice big room with two queen beds. Added bonus of an outdoor pool and hot tub, the kids loved it.

Review 70:Rooms are renovated, and all the instalation too, so it will be fantastic for the winter. Also the Spa Therapist great, the truth is that all the Hotel Staff where very helpful with all the guests. And the montain beautiful in summer, you can enjoy a lot of outdoor exercise. I had a wonderful time, and relaxing time !!

Review 71:When the cleaning staff knocked on the door to clean the rooms they didn't give us time to answer before they entered the room.

Review 72:Front desk staff was very professional and knowledgeable as were the cleaning staff.

Review 73:Room is clean. Staff is friendly and accommodating. They upgraded our room to a king size bed for free. They only charged us the price that was quoted on Booking.com, and they even gave us a 10% discount for showing our CAA card.

Review 74:Building is dated, even with recent fix ups.

Review 75:Proximity to ski hill.

Review 76:Restaurant. Very poor quality expensive meal.

Review 77:Close to the slopes.

Review 78:food was OK at best

Review 79:rooms were very nice

Review 80:The room was older and not updated yet. Dim and drab. Very noisy. Mold in tub area. Too expensive for condition of room

Review 81:Great ski slopes

Review 82:Very quiet! Important to us.

Review 83:The amount of the bill was charged before I arrive to the hotel. The people in check- in had not experience or training to do that.

Review 84:the room was soooo tired. needs a complete renovation.

Review 85:view

Review 86:The room was tired - in need of an upgrade

Review 87:Loved the location right on the ski hill

Review 88:microwave in room wasn't working properly.

Review 89:rooms were spacious, great view, convieniently close to ski hill. outdoor spa was fantastic.

Review 90:Hot Tub and location relatively to the ski slopes

Review 91:smelly lockers

Review 92:almost was excelent

Review 93:Pool very basic. Out door hot tub was not hot enough.

Review 94:Nice large renovated room.

Review 95:rooms had a stove top before - now only a small microwave.

Review 96:great location

Review 97:None

Review 98:Everything was magical

Review 99:Room is a little too narrow for a family of 4.

Review 100:Fantastic slope Side location, excellent service,

Review 101:A little expensive but it was worth it.

Review 102:Staff was very friendly, very clean. The view of the mountain was really nice. I loved my stay.

Review 103:The rooms could use a little more renovations, but for one night, it was very ok.

Review 104:The excellent massage I got at the Spa Chateau.

Review 105:Very convenient location for the skiing, also very nice to have all thefacilities in the hotel, depanneur, restaurant etc.
