Reviews for Pousada Vila da Praia

Review 1:This review is rather unfinished with multiple typos. I wrote themajority of this while I was at the hotel (for one night). Have not beenable to revisit that writeup nor thoughtfully add to it since (August 6,2015). Details about check-out added quickly on 8/11. Love affairwith the place and with Fabio ---- constant and consistent, regardlessof time. I am torn about writing up this wonderful review and keepingthe greatness of the place to myself for future visits…Cannot convey how wonderful my stay was here. The main guy on duty was Fabio. If I lived in Brazil, then I would ask Fabio to marry me. Such a sweet gentleman. He spoke some English, which was a rare find in Brazil. I was grateful. The hotel was marked from its main street as well as its facility. (After a super long journey between Campinas and Bertioga, this was so so very much unusual and prized!I arrived at the hotel after very little sleep (overnight flights), many hours on the road (10+), and 200 extra KM of wrong turns during my adventure from Campinas to Bertioga. Fabio was so kind to me. Before I ever communicated to him who I was, Fabio called me by name, which indicated to me that he had been waiting for me. He acted excited to have me there. After I stalled out my rental car a couple times trying to pull it through the hotel gates (totally my fault), I asked Fabio to pull my car into a space behind the hotel’s gates. He did, with a super friendly comment implying shoddy performance of “Brazilian cars” (when it really was my fault).Fabio advised me to get a cheaper room for the night than the one that I had booked with the hotel. Of course, I did. It was perfect – air conditioning (temp controlled via remote in room – quiet enough to sleep soundly (compared to Sao Paulo (air conditioner NOISY! No sleep).

Review 2:Slightly too far to walk to the market/town centre. Bus or car needed for that.

Review 3:Lovely pool, breakfast, staff and only 1 minute walk from the beach.
