Reviews for Takha Takha
Review 1:I stayed for 6 days with my 22 year old son. We loved the accomodation, pool and exceptional staff. Everyone was extremely helpful with anything we wished. We had a tremendous time and would stay here again. Great breakfast too!
Review 2:Wifi signal only in the reception and no TV the cold nights.
Review 3:Hot water; private bath; if you leave the hotel before breakfast, you can ask for a food package with fruits, juice and sandwich. One very important thing is the greatest service and attention from Maca, the receptionist of hotel. You can always count on her to help you.
Review 4:Small rooms. It is not a place to stay at room and relax there.
Review 5:Great location very close to the 'centre' of San Pedro. Helpfull staff, room service, very nice breakfast. We also had breakfast prepared for our morning tours as a take away.
Review 6:No restaurant or bar. Pool area a little shabby. Hot water in the shower was hit or miss!
Review 7:Located at the end of the Caracoles - fairly quite. Room & bathroom basic but clean. Good value for the money charged.
Review 8:Initially my shower was not working properly, although this was fixed within 2 days. The pool was too cold to swim in
Review 9:The staff were very helpful and friendly, and spoke very good English. The settings were lovely, beautiful garden, and the swimming pool surroundings were great to relax.
Review 10:In the evenings usually queueing up in front of warm showers. Also staff handed out paper printouts with confidential information of our booking to some campers who needed fire fuel. Weird stalking situation followed where strangers knew our home addresses; very unprofessional, unfortunately.
Review 11:Nice hostel at a good place in san pedro, not too central but a bit mare quiet therefore. Staff is friendly - rooms and shared bathrooms etc. are clean. Paring spaces available, nice outdoor pool.
Review 12:Showers and toilets are outside so you have to walk half naked through the cold but same time its kind of adventure you paid for.
Review 13:The girl at the reception very friendly.
Review 14:Staff were very friendly, location was fantastic, so close to the centre of town but also very quiet at night. Room was simple but perfect for our needs and good value for money. Breakfast was good.
Review 15:The world's most expensive hostel room. I knew it would be overpriced based on other reviews, but was still surprised by simplicity of room given cost. Room was cold; no heat. Pool is freezing cold to point of unusable. Wifi only in certain areas. Staff were not particularly friendly.
Review 16:Quiet garden. Great, central location. Free parking. Warm comforters on beds.
Review 17:wifi doesn't work in the rooms. It does work well in reception though. The rooms are cold and it's a pain having to go outside to go to the bathroom when it's freezing cold outside. Breakfast wasn't include and if we wanted it, it would cost us 4,600 Chilean pesos per breakfast. That's pricey and the accomodation was expensive itself but everywhere in San Pedro is.
Review 18:The location is perfect. It's right on the Main Street. You couldn't get a better spot. It's kept very clean. Showers and toilets are outside and are kept spotless at all times. Staff are very nice, helpful and friendly. There is a lovely friendly dog on the premises.
Review 19:the electricity breaker in our room was shut down twice. I'm glad the their staffs fixed it very quickly
Review 20:wifi was very fast but available around the lobby only
Review 21:Lovely little and cosy cabins built around the pool. The water of the pool is very refreshing - excellent to cool down during the hot time during lunch time. The beds are very comfortable and equipped with a number of blankets (it gets cold in the cabins at night...). An excellent breakfast was served every day. Also, the hotel was very quiet and relaxing although it is located close to the centre of San Pedro de Atacama. Helpful and friendly staff, too! An additional plus for sustainability: nice bath rooms and the water was heated by solar water heating (sun). If the electricity was generated by solar panels, it would have been more sustainable.... Great value for money and pleasant stay!
Review 22:Nothing really! It was alot pricier but the amenities were great. WIFI is weak. Must be near reception. Though why do you need WIFI when there's so much to do in the city?
Review 23:Facilities and staff are amazing. Beds were comfy and I asked for additional blankets if it got too cold. Clean! SUPER great location. Just on the main street, but at the end of the road. It was convenient. Wonderful garden and pool area, though I did not use.
Review 24:Bed springs were felt in my ribs... Time to replace some beds with new ones. The difficult way of regulating hot/cold water in showers. Best to have a shower late afternoon when not many people in hostel.
Review 25:Front desk staff was very helpful & carrying. Couple of English speaking reception attendants were top notch. Everg day the room was cleaned, garbage removed, beds made, All felt fresh - great feeling. Nice and warm blankets during cold nights. Clean bathrooms. Sitting around swimming pool created great area for relaxation.I would definately recommend this place. Thank you to all the employees.
Review 26:We did not get hot water once. Every night the dogs were barking disturbing our sleep. WiFi did not always work properly.
Review 27:Clean Nice gardens Swimming pool was a relaxing place.
Review 28:Lack of space and places to put things in bathroom No soap in shower Ceiling skylight made bed too hot for afternoon siesta....needs cover Exposure in bathroom when light on....viewed from nearby pool area...window needs solid blind
Review 29:Very friendly welcome at reception - efficient and informative Garden and pool area were lovely Easy walk to the centre of town Safe secure luggage storage Cleanliness and quality towels Location, location, location!
Review 30:Poor room ventilation and inconsistent hot water.
Review 31:Pool
Review 32:Rooms are clean but really noisy. Not worst the price. Too expensive. Breakfast and pool are ok. Good ubication.

Review 38:Wifi didn't reach room. Needed to go to reception or sit by the pool to get it.
Review 39:Great staff, secure parking, good breakfast.
Review 40:Good location Clean room Good sleep
Review 41:Storage of luggage was limited, as we were on holiday for almost 6 weeks we had several cases and bags. Not much space to hang clothes.
Review 42:Friendly, helpful staff, practising Spanish and English together. Good breakfast, especially scrambled eggs. Excellent homemade cake, biscuits and freshly made fruit juice. Relaxing by and in the pool. Hot water dispenser in reception for tea and coffee. We felt very welcome and at home here.
Review 43:It miss air condition due to high temperatures during the day.
Review 44:Hotel is very well placed, next Sao Pedro downtown and atacamaá night life. Service is nice and friendly...

Review 47:nothing
Review 48:Friendly staff with good English. Loved the location of our room near the back of the property...very quiet...nice little patio to sit on. A comfortable bed with lots of blankets. There was also heat if needed
Review 49:Said room had heating but it did not work, asked for a heater they had some but none were available, it gets very cold at night in July/August espacialy when you are leaving on a tour at 4.00 or 6.00 pm in the morning, check the heating works or a portable heater is available during there winter
Review 50:This is a decent hotel at an expensive price in an expensive town, the whole town is three times more expensive than anywhere else in Chile so it;s par for the course and better than a lot of other places
Review 51:Over priced like everything in san pedro, extremely basic room for the price and very cold.
Review 52:Very friendly staff they were great. Easy walk to town centre
Review 53:Expensive for what it is - but all accommodation in San Pedro seems expensive. After all it is a town in the middle of a desert!
Review 54:Super friendly staff - very willing to help. Clean and comfortable rooms. Tasty breakfast. Great location.
Review 55:The superior room is tiny and there is not much space for luggage. Thepool was murky - we never used it.
Review 56:The room was very clean and the breakfast was wonderful (very healthy). The hotel is close to the center of San Pedro, but it is still verypeaceful. The staff was great dealing with the massive rain we receivedduring our stay.
Review 57:There's nothing we didn't like - we'd come again - but remember that San Pedro is an expensive, remote place so don't expect luxury for this price - no a/c, fan, fridge, safe, wifi (except at reception), soundproofing - but we found this didn't matter as the hotel gets all the important things right - cleanliness, friendliness, comfortable beds, lovely shower etc.
Review 58:This is a simple, charming place with very friendly staff both at reception and at breakfast. The room and public areas are all pleasant places to be when not out and about exploring. The hotel is at the end of the main street, near enough to be able to walk to everything, far enough to be a bit quieter at night. A nice pool, strangely at its warmest in the late morning.
Review 59:The swimmingpool just wasn't there! We booked an other hotel.
