Reviews for Harrison Hot Springs Resort & Spa

Review 1:Room is really small, sound proofing is very bad, someone is having party in the middle of night really annoying. The only good thing of this hotel is the view and the hot spring.

Review 2:hotspring is great!

Review 3:Too expensive and loud with overpriced outdated rooms. Rooms with inadequate bedding, freezing floors and toilet seat in bathroom, extremely noisy if overlooking pools. Rules not enforced nor are areas monitored! Children are in adult only pool, screaming and yelling in pools after hours, hockey team meeting in lobby by fireplace where furniture is moved by hockey team making it impossible to sit by fire and relax.Bottled water left in rooms leaving guests to believe it is complimentary, only to be charged $3.50 per bottle! Overall very disappointed in entire experience!

Review 4:Location and so called adult pool!

Review 5:As I approached the front counter for assistance, there were three staff behind the counter. the first one made eye contact with me and then without acknowledging me, turned around and left into the back room. the second staff then made eye contact with me, and again without any acknowledgment, they turned and also left into the back room. The third staff was on the phone. I did not feel like a valued customer at all. I felt like garbage. Also, the room service tray which we left outside the door as instructed, was left there for two days, without anyone attending to it.

Review 6:The rooms are a little dated

Review 7:The staff in the copper room were fantastic! The rooms are a little dated ! But it was very relaxing and price wise was good

Review 8:Room in main building was small and smell bad. Wifi was terrible. But all good after we upgrade the room to east building.

Review 9:Nice view in the room. Out door hot pool was excellent.

Review 10:We were not happy with our first room because it was not warm enough and the heater was not functioning well.

Review 11:We talked with hotel staff about the heater and in a couple of minutes, the lady in charge arranged our transfer to much nicer room and yes, it was warm too!

Review 12:Food was poor in the bar side came in late poor room but not your fault as I came early due to weather conditions

Review 13:The springs were nice great location Spacious and best Christmas lights

Review 14:Running screaming children every where! Bathroom so small you couldn't close door without maneuvering your body around it! Pool very dirty! Management didn't care or address our concerns!

Review 15:I like that I will never be back! Poor management ...kids in adult only pool ...curdled cream in our coffee machine

Review 16:The on site food was not very good, however we found a great place in Agassiz called Jack's Steakhouse 10/10. Food on site at the cafe (buffet Breakfast) was not worth the pricing.

Review 17:The accommodations were small (cozy) but the entire resort was fantastic, great friendly staff!

Review 18:too many children in pools, no monitoring of adult pools and kids. there should not be a charge for parking. pools are too small for hotel size.

Review 19:beautiful alpine village and lake setting.

Review 20:Poor sound isolation for main hotel rooms. We just speak in very normal voice volume but still be told it was noisy, maybe we just met a super sensitive neighbour? Anyway will not booking this hotel, at least not the main hotel rooms.

Review 21:Pool is good, food is good

Review 22:We stay at the older main building, it still have the old type wall fan unit, and does not have thermostat control. Bath room has no exstust duct. But they do provide two portable fans.

Review 23:I like the outdoor and indoor pools. They are much better than other 4 stars hotels. Good service at Cooper dinning room and restaurant. I forgot to bring my swimming suit, manager open the store for me to to buy one even after business hours.

Review 24:--outdoor pools needed cleaning and maintenance... not a health hazard just leaves and debris that should have been attended to over course of a few days --floor in room needed repair..note we were in the oldest section of the facility

Review 25:-location -general lay out of pools and spas

Review 26:Hotel rooms were clean however we're need of up dates. Carpeting smell of spring water . Need to get new carpets, our robes were worn and had sticking repairs needed. They were quickto replace but it was a nuisance

Review 27:Hot springs were the main draw

Review 28:The rooms were dated & needed some upgrades they were kind of a let down compared to the lobby & rest of the hotel.

Review 29:I liked how friendly & helpful the staff was. The amenities were very nice.

Review 30:The rooms. The hotel was run down and out dated the carpets were gross.

Review 31:The massage at the spa and the dinner at the copper room. The pools were OK but indoor pool and hot tub was discutingly dirty.

Review 32:The room was outdated and the beds were uncomfortable. Food at the restaurants was marginal and overpriced.

Review 33:The spa was excellent and the pools were nice.

Review 34:FOOD PRICES WAY TO HIGH, RESTRAUNT WAS EMPTY EXCEPT MORNING BUFFET. OUT DATED. FUNNY SMELL. BEDS VERY UNCOMFORATABLE. NOT MANY ACTIVITIES FOR YOUNGER PEEPS

Review 35:THE UNLIMITED ACCESS TO THE HOT SPRINGS

Review 36:We stayed in the main building. Our room was outdated. Everything seemed tired and not maintained very well. Worn carpet and musty smelling. The screens on the hallway windows were dirty.

Review 37:The hot springs were amazing. The grounds were well maintained. I expected more "tea time" treats. Chocolate chip cookies just didn't seem right. Spa was nice. Good massage. Breakfast was very good. Good variety.

Review 38:Queing up for tea at 4 P.M. with not enough seating. Being charged $2.00for a mini sized bottle of water

Review 39:The staff were very friendly and helpful. The beds were verycomfortable. The view from our room was excellent and the room itselfwas small but charming. The hot springs were lovely

Review 40:My only suggestion would be to update some of the sitting areas. Lounging by the fireplace or in the lobby was less comfortable than it could have been because the furniture is old and the cushions have broken down. Replacing them with new and truly comfortable options would be lovely.

Review 41:The hotel has the water rights to the hot springs in the area, so if you're going for the mineral water, this is the place to be. The facilities are well cared for and the staff is genuinely pleased to help. The breakfast buffet was full of many healthy options - not just the usual cheap carbs, but also fruit, meat, eggs, dairy, etc., all presented beautifully. I was also impressed with the hours of the hot tubs. Where many places close their pools at 10 p.m., these are open from 5 a.m. to 1 a.m. and it was not hard to find a time when the pools were quiet and so very relaxing. We had such a wonderful time and this was likely the start of many happy returns to this place.

Review 42:I don't like that I have never been offered any loyalty products/deals etc... I booked 3 rooms the last trip all for 2 nights and was not given any discount... nothing for staying many times a year either

Review 43:I love Harrison we stay 3-5 times a year! LOVE the pools and location!!!!

Review 44:There really wasn't anything we didn't like, sorry.

Review 45:Staff are fantastic, friendly and respectful, first class service. Rooms are clean and comfortable.Valet service was awesome. Well done all.

Review 46:As soon as we arrived we were greeted by friendly staff who were very helpful. Loved how cozy our room was and waking up to the hot pools every morning was the best part! Thumbs up to the Starbucks coffee in the lobby too!

Review 47:That I didn't book another night lol. It was so relaxing and ejoyable

Review 48:Barry at the front desk was awesome.excellent customer service and very helpful.lovely to see staff who are natural and not fake

Review 49:Too pricey all around. Room service cost double the reasonable amount you'd pay at a restaurant. .. $50 for a burger and a club sandwich??! Rediculous! The rooms are really outdated, pillows were way too soft. Though the Copper Room was nice and the food was good, it still had a very steep price. If the atmosphere was updated and a little more modern it would at least feel worth the money but not in this case. Also nothing in writing to see what the different packages and prices are in order to compare or even see what exactly the "deal" is you are supposed to be getting.

Review 50:The spa was excellent however pricey but at least this was well worth and easier to justify spending that kind of money.

Review 51:30 min queue to check in at 4pm. Hot pools never had space - it was like people soup. Didn't even get to use them. No robes to use for pools in room, asked housekeeping they said they were behind and ask reception later. The town itself has an eerie abandoned feel, like maybe in it's heyday it was a nice family destination resort, but now its just where confused tourists & come to stew in their own filth, and old couples come to remember yesteryear. We are early 30s and seemed to be one of the youngest couples about. Room was old and tired and awkwardly laid out

Review 52:Stretched housekeeping & reception staff tried their hardest and were polite. Bar staff friendly and efficient.

Review 53:somehow missed the gift shop. Noticed it when checking out at 8:00.

Review 54:Beautiful scenery. So relaxing & total peace of mind. Loved having the robes. Great brunch.

Review 55:From the beginning, when we first booked through Booking.com, we were led to believe our would be much nicer than what we got. What we got was a room with a queen bedn one chair and a view of a tar and gravel roof. When we first checkwd in and asled qhy we were not been given what booking.com advertised, the clerk told us the hotel is not responsible for how booking.com advertises the rooms. After having lunch we diecided to complain some more about the room. We were offerd an upgrade at an additional 20 dollar cost per night. We found that acceptible.

Review 56:It was quiet.

Review 57:They charged one day parking fee.. I don't like it So I had to pay over $212 (I booked the room for $179) And the room is not good this time Small, old, bad view, noisy, the end of main building

Review 58:There is my favorite place.

Review 59:They really catered to families. There were some guests visibly annoyed that the kids were laughing & splashing around but there were adult only pools that they could take advantage of. It was great that they accommodated kids.

Review 60:Extremely tired and smelly overpriced hotel! lobby stunk bad like mold and mildew. very ugly old décor. very overpriced. kids running all over pool areas unsupervised.

Review 61:location near Harrison lake.

Review 62:When we first checked in they put us in a room facing a brick wall with no view, but moved us to a lake view room. The pools need a redo, tiles dirty and broken

Review 63:Inside the hotel and rooms were very clean

Review 64:When I booked I saw different pictures of the room, when we got in we were shocked. Room was small, halls smells old and we had a door to our neighbors which has 1 inch hole underneath and we could hear every word they say

Review 65:We were transferred from 308 to 8811

Review 66:When we first entered our room I asked the Porter what was the smell in the room and he assured us that it was clean and there was no smell. I learned later that it was a sulphur smell from the mineral baths. If we return we would request a room in the new tower.

Review 67:We enjoyed the pools and the food was very good but dinner at the Copper Room was very expensive. The room in the old tower was satisfactory and the bed was comfortable and there was sufficient space in the room and bathroom.

Review 68:There were some dirty dishes and leftover food outside our door when we got to our room, and they were still there when we checked out....perhaps housekeeping forgot about them? Anyway, kind of gross.

Review 69:The view from our room was lovely....to sit out on the deck in the morning with our coffee was a treat. The pool area is very enjoyable, and the bed was super comfy.

Review 70:The Hot spring was more like the hot tub. There was a lot of chlorine added to the water. Also I thought it was on the expensive side for what you got.

Review 71:The staff were very friendly, the room was comfortable.

Review 72:Only that this time at room 337 there is no table to use while sipping the hot coffee or tea, unlike before at room 311. There is a small table to use at tea time. At the same price room 311 is better. Also we are careful in using the elevated floor of the washroom, I may say not advisable for senior's use at room 337.

Review 73:We came only for the soaker, stay for an hour and back to the room to have a hot tea or coffee. The place is clean though.

Review 74:When we booked the standard double room eight months ago we saw a picture with two queen sized beds. We on only got one small bed in a tiny room. When we complained we were told, that booking.com would have a wrong picture in their site, it would be the fault of the Harrioson Hot Springs Resort. Since the hotel was fully booked, we could not change the room. The spa areas were very crowded. Most people entered the pools without showering before . . .

Review 75:The Lakeside Cafe offers good and reasonably priced food. Very friendly staff. Beautiful lake and mountains in front of the hotel.

Review 76:By far the worst wifi we experienced in 3k miles and three and a half weeks in Canada.

Review 77:Seven on-site pools fed from the hot springs. Room comfortable and excellent value for money. Range of restaurants and cafes within easy walking distance.

Review 78:Cracked sink. Worried re germs in the cracks. Also my sister had just visited a few weeks earlier , just walked in and got a room for ten dollars less than we paid

Review 79:Staff were great. Dissappointed in our room. We had booked a room with 2 beds only got one and it was not very comfortable!

Review 80:carpet is really old,

Review 81:place had seen many years but compensated with nice staff and clean washroom/beddings if your here for hotspring most probably room is just for sleeping. i believed Main is the old bldg.

Review 82:When using an electric scooter, it was difficult to get into the spa area, using the keypad and trying to manoeuver scooter and get door open at same time. I also had a multitude of scratches on my back from sugar scrub but was not advised by the masseur.

Review 83:We were 3 older ladies all with bad backs and had an electric scooter. The room on the first floor was great complete with hand bars and close to hot pools. Facials and massages great. Products are too pricy.

Review 84:Hallways need a MAJOR upgrade...very poor condition, carpets and wallpaper in bad shape. A little overpriced for the look of the room.

Review 85:The rooms were quaint in the older portion of the building and appeared clean. Hot spring pools are lovely.

Review 86:There's an adult only hot spring pool but it wasn't enforced. So some families thought it would be fun to splash around with their kids in it. The hotel is extremely dated but worth the money for the pools.

Review 87:The hot spring pools exclusive to this hotel are amazing. The spa is very over priced, so give it a miss.

Review 88:People upstairs stomping around for hours. A dry sauna could be a great addition as well as individual mineral tubs.

Review 89:Loved the mineral pool for it's shape and peaceful environment. We appreciated the welcoming decor of the room (old fashioned, we like that). The blow dryer was a bonus and the nice big TV was appreciated.

Review 90:We loved the ambiance of the resort and the hot pools were great. We chose the resort for the hot pools and were not disappointed. Our room was in main building original part. Loved the original trim in the rooms. Comfortable beds. The resort was a pleasure.

Review 91:Pools were a little too crowded, they would do well to expand and have an adults only indoor area perhaps with a bit of spa music. It just didn't feel especially relaxing. Was interested in the spa itself but way too expensive, more than in the city. The town itself seems a bit tired...

Review 92:Staff were impressively friendly and helpful

Review 93:- All the pools are small - Uncomfortable bed. End up having bad back because of it - Lots of stains on the carpet - Pool not as hot and comfortable as expected

Review 94:Easy access to the pools

Review 95:Hotel décor is very outdated. Could be a 5 star resort, but with furniture, paint, wallpaper from the 80's, it seems shabby.

Review 96:Love the hot springs right outside our hotel room door. Fantastic garden for a wedding.

Review 97:Main tower rooms are small, no air conditioner. West tower rooms are great but too expensive. AC is very very noisy.

Review 98:Hot Spring Pools. West tower rooms are much bigger than the main tower.

Review 99:Initially we booked a room in the old part of the building knowing there would be no air-con. This would have been fine but there was some exceptionally hot weather so after one night we decided to upgrade. Any other time this room would have been fine. It was very dated compared to the newer rooms but clean and very large. I'd definitely opt for a lake view room rather than a pool room unless you want the sounds of children from the kids pool traveling in through the older window. Also, spa was great except for a very poor attempt at a male manicure. Would recommend to the ladies but not the men.

Review 100:Such a wonderful and relaxing resort set in an idyllic location! Executive suites were modern and very comfortable. Staff were very welcoming and prepared to go the extra mile. Good buffet breakfast. Fantastic cocktails. Copper room dining experience is a must but by far the best thing was the natural hot spring pools which we used every day of our 5 night stay.

Review 101:Rooms where small which was fine but the sink was to big for the bathroom couldn't move around

Review 102:Great few pools were amazing and dinner was excellent at the bar will definitely go back

Review 103:I didn't like the late check-in time. Also, the wrist bands for the pool area were very flimsy. Also, I would of liked to have the option of ordering off the menu at the hotel restaurant at breakfast/brunch time.

Review 104:I enjoyed the pools.

Review 105:The staff (during check in) was not friendly or welcoming. Also, the bathroom was not clean and the showers make noise. I will not be going back.

Review 106:The location was very convenient and great view.

Review 107:Room was so small and we were in a basement type room. Felt like we were in a broom closet. WiFi was absolutely terrible. You'd think for the money charged, they could afford decent WiFi systems. So many kids running around it felt like a daycare center. So loud during the night. Way overpriced for what you get.

Review 108:The pools.

Review 109:Very pricy at over $200 a night. Long lineups at check-in. No free breakfast.

Review 110:Our stay in the new tower was great, but a windstorm unfortunately made it so the indoor pools were packed. However, the room was very clean and comfortable.

Review 111:We stayed on the 4th floor old wing. The entire floor smelled so bad! The room was old, not " charming" old. Perhaps families can be booked in a separate wing. Is it time for a carpet change through out the hotel? Looking dirty.

Review 112:The hot springs, the drive from Vancouver.

Review 113:We stayed in the main hotel and it is an older building. The mattress we had was great for snuggling up but terrible for your back. However, we were pleased with everything else so we didn't bother to talk to front desk.

Review 114:We loved the location of the hotel. The town is quite small so everything is close to each other but having the hotel at the end of the block by the lake was very convenient and also great for night strolls. We loved the pools and all the facilities the hotel has. I would definitely go back.

Review 115:The first night we stayed in the west tower because it was all that was available when we booked. The room was a 1 star-no A/C, old, horrible bed, small, dingy, smelly... The biggest dissapointment was the massage I received in the spa by Nicole. It was one of the worst massages I've ever had. Don't waste your money.

Review 116:the second night we were able to upgrade to the west tower which was great. I really enjoyed my second night. The facilities were the main draw for us. The pools were wonderful, although packed with families. I would definitely return. Overall a good experience.

Review 117:The carpet in hotel rooms very old and dirty. Needs deep carpet cleaning or changing. The old man who does the omelette for breakfast and stir fry was not friendly to us . He would put very little in our omelettes and for others he would put more. We all noticed that our whole team of 5

Review 118:Facilities , pools, breakfast, good location,

Review 119:The bed was way too hard found black hair on the towels in the bathroom and bathtub. Long curly black hair. Gross. I have blonde hair so i know it wasn't mine.

Review 120:Loved the hot spring pools

Review 121:There were a few things I didn't like: the plants were being watered all day and night (too much water wasted, especially considering the dry summer in BC!); there was no lifeguard (isn't that weird for a place with so many pools and children?); and some rules were not respected at all (the indoor pools were meant for relaxation and meditation, but kids were shouting and jumping in the pools from dawn to dusk!).

Review 122:Being in and out of the thermal water pools all day was relaxing and so therapeutic! The hotel staff was more than friendly (everyone!), the room was clean and tidy (we were in the main hotel, with old rooms, but well maintained), we were provided with towels, robes, etc., and breakfast was quite good (a buffet with great variety, though a bit pricey). The overall cost was OK for us because we hit a good deal on booking.com. We did enjoy our stay at this hotel.

Review 123:The check-in time . One of the great features about this hotel is the swimming pools etc. It was a hot sunny day and it would have been nice to use the pools BUT we did not get to check in until after five (our room wasn't ready) and it was too late to put on a bathing suit and enjoy the outdoor pools! They gave us a complimentary bottle of wine but it is not what we came for and therefore I wouldn't recommend this hotel for it's amenities......

Review 124:It is a beautiful location

Review 125:Very noisy between floors Imani building .. Hear footprints furniture moved late at night . We waited half an hour to get to a check in agent. No courtesy of apologizing for the long wait. Huge line built up and not enough agents . The prices at the pool and restaurant were exorbitant .

Review 126:The pools were great

Review 127:The Main tower room has no air conditioning for the price you pay. The bed was too soft and check in time too late and check-out time too early. I travelled to Las Vegas, New York, Atlantic City casino resort and many other part of the world. This hotel is the worst in checking customer into the room and kicking them out too early without extension.

Review 128:we like the spring water pool was excellent for the children and adult. The food was good at the following restaurants Lakeside café and Island bar.

Review 129:Parking was full when we arrived as there seemed to be 3 weddings taking place, but we were allowed to park in the designated staff area when we went to inquire.

Review 130:The views from our balcony and the restaurant were beautiful. Our room was clean and spacious, with good air con. The food was excellent, particularly the buffet on Saturday. We enjoyed the pools and hot spring, local ice cream store, blue heron watching, generally relaxing!

Review 131:Old wing of building smelled old.no air conditioning, squeaky bed..not , uch value in the money spent..could have found an old motel run down for less money..

Review 132:i find the front staff was'nt that friendly and accomodating at all im trying to understand because of so many guest that time.

Review 133:the facilities most specially the pools my mom really love it because of the warm water we celebrated our mom's b-day and she said she had a blast bday and im very happy about that.

Review 134:I stayed in the older part of the hotel that was not air conditioned and my room was very hot-(even tho there was a ceiling fan and an oscillating fan. I would not stay in that part of the hotel again!

Review 135:The location of the hotel is in a very picturesque area. The hot springs pools were great!

Review 136:Hotel is badly in need of an update. Our room was just okay. Alright for a place to sleep while we were traveling through, but bathroom was small (door barely made it past the toilet...) and decor is quite dated for the price they are asking. Would expect more of a 'boutique' feel given the price... Glad we got a deal online. Would not pay full price.

Review 137:Hot springs are a nice addition to the hotel. Wristbands to use the pools were included in our stay and we visited all the pools. Good amenities (cafe/coffee shop and good gift shop with lots of options) and great location by the lake which was where we spent the majority of our time.

Review 138:We were in the old part and there is no AC in the rooms. At this day and age...NO excuse for a resort not to have AC in the entire facility. It made it very difficult to sleep. An extra fan was given to us that did not work. And the old part does have that 'old building' smell. ...but I know it's hard to get away from that. Also...our room wasn't ready until 5:30 pm....and we had a function at 6. There should be a room for people to go to in this case so they can freshen up, do their hair..whatever....but the staff are all wonderful!!

Review 139:I loved that they offered a quick check out procedure...the hotel will email you your bill if you don't want to stand in line very long. That was nice!

Review 140:No air conditioning in our room (fan only); No ventilating fan in the bathroom. Was quite hot!

Review 141:Excellent indoor hot springs! Opening until 1:00am afforded us time to soak after we checked in later in the evening.

Review 142:Nothing!!!

Review 143:I like the fact that my request was honoured . I experienced staying in the older building and I was really frustrated with the room and a/c, but this last trip was amazing.

Review 144:I specifically booked a room with a view and i was given a partial view room. Extremely disappointed with the value I paid. It was a busy season and the outdoor pool time policy is ridiculous. For a summer night you want to be able to utilize the outdoor pool past 11. The pool facility was disgusting. Needs more staff to keep the washrooms clean.

Review 145:It is hard to think about what I liked besides the comfy bed.
