Review 1：We loved the food. It was well prepared by Chef. Also during buffet there were so many options and really good food. At the end i would say excellent food. Must have it in the hotel.

Review 4：Remember you get exactly what you pay for with regards to food, chefs have a tight budget, and it was evident in quality of the meals. Should not complain as I say, what would you expect from CHF130 half board for 2 people. Unfortunately the springs were shot in my partners mattress, however when we said something in the morning, the receptionist was very helpful and immediately made a note in a ledger for it to be checked, you can not ask for more than that.

Review 6：This hotel is simply excellent for my purposes, an overnight business stay when I am working in the area. The staff are brilliant the food is great and it is amazing value for money. An added bonus is the amazing view from your balcony when you wake in the morning.

Review 18：I booked a room fairly close to the day of arrival (due to a problem with another accomodation) but I didn't regret it. On the contrary, it was an excellent choice. We got a superior room (do not know the reason) that's why we had a marvellous view from the room that had a spacious balcony. The staff was friendly and helpful and the breakfast (although it cost 15 CHF if I remember well) was spectacular.

Review 23：The views are fabulous. the actual location in the middle of a ski resort is not normally where we would stay but we were en route to the French alps and this suited our needs. We had a great half board deal from booking.com which included a buffet in the evening. the food was simple yet good. the lower old part of Leysin is very pretty and worth a look around.

Review 38：Room decor very outdated, smelled a bit odd when we first arrived but smell did disappear after a day or so. Lots of big groups of teenagers on school trips hanging around in the lobby/bar in the evening which wasn't ideal but couldn't be helped I suppose!

Review 52：even though it was a nonsmoking room, it smelled like cheap Febreeze (a friend thought it smelled like bio) covering previous smoke, bedsheets smelled like someone smoked. Kitchen utensils were incomplete. Last time i got a washing machine, not sure why this time it was not there.

Review 56：When the (new?) hotel director personally took over the dining hall management on 1 January (the middle of our holiday), this resulted in a dramatic deterioration of tone, efficiency and friendliness. While all staff had been perfect and extremely helpful on previous days, the director screamed at everyone, insulted our children and made us (two families = 9 people) wait for 1.5hrs for our dinner because we hadn't "reserved a table". I fear this may change the atmosphere in this otherwise very accommodating hotel.

The wifi is very poor (impossible to connect) but is it realy a problem on vacation...? Hot water is impossible to get if you want to take a shower at busy hours.., no trolley found at lobby to carry our luggages. Nor groom. Management need to fix these issues and I'll give it a 10 no pbl, and then hotel will deserve a 4th star.

Big beds, couch, dining table and big terrace with the beautiful view. Laundry machine with dryer and dishwasher make life even more easier during the stay. There is also access to the swimming pool but we never tried it. Place is quiet. Staff is friendly.

Review 73：The hotel is situated near the main train station, only 5 minutes walking distance. There is a local bus stoppage just in front of the hotel by which you can travel the whole village for free. I think The hotel's swimming pool is located in the best place from where you can see the snow covered mountain all year round while you are swimming. In short, I would say the hotel have friendly staffs, clean environment & is situated one of the best place in leysin.

Review 74：The hotel is sometimes overrun by groups on bus tours which can be festive but loud in the common areas. The wifi is terrible and this is the second stay where I could not get the internet in the room only downstairs.

The only thing-you have to book your breakfast on the reception and it will cost you 10chf,and if in the restaurant-15chf. It was confusion for us, we paid 15. But we have 2 children, so no big deal). 100 %recommend.

Review 85：What a great hotel! We enjoyed our stay very much and although the decor is dated the comfort and cleanliness more than make up for it. Review 86：Sorry to say, I didn't like a lot of things. First of all, there was no light, no taxis on the street from the train station to the hotel. It was raining, we had to climb flights of stairs using mobile's light to reach the road and then walk for about 10 minutes. Second, the room was dark, the furniture was moldy and the staff on duty around 6 am was extremely rude. We requested for a taxi to the station or a shuttle for which we would have paid, but he bluntly refused saying there was none at that time of the morning. He even misguided us about the timing of the train that we were supposed to take to Montreux to start our Golden Pass Line trip. Overall, bad experience because of one bad staff we encountered and the location which is not for mature or children or with people with heavy luggage.
