Review 1：The restaurant - a staff in the restaurant forgot my order for 30 min and foods were awful. Recommended to have dinners in other restaurants near the hotel. They are better and cheaper.

Review 5：1. reception staff initially unhelpfull in correcting reservation as agreed per phone, from double to single room. This took too long and we had to insist that Clarion stuck to their telephone and email promise of changing one of two the rooms back to single in case 4rd guest would not be able to join. 2. beds pretty uncomfortable, wooden casing too high, one easily hurts oneself getting in/out of bed 3. carpets looked very old and crumpled

Review 7：The restaurant amongst other areas had undergone refurbishment. It is currently work in progress and not a good experience - this seems to be because the building owner is not the hotel owner and doesn't share the sense of urgency. The one thing the Hotel owner must take responsibility for is the lighting in the restaurant. The chandeliers ( of completely the wrong period for an Art Deco hotel) It beggars belief that there is no way to turn down these monstrosities (so it's rather like dining on a sports field with the flood lights on!) There is one bog standard switch that goes on and off only. whoever the lighting designer was should be spoken to severely and never used again. Marek(?) the hotel manager with whom we spoke indicated that he would ensure dimmers would be fitted - keep an eye out if you go and if it hasn't happened - COMPLAIN! They are also building a function room - delayed for the reason above, whic should obviate the problem we encounterd of 2 x 50+ coach parties being fed early in the restuarant who hang around so those of us dining a la carte took second place! The library which is between receptin and the restaurant has also been completely refurbished - but the lighting there still hasn't been installed yet - rendering it something akin to a dark corridor. we're told both the restaurant and the library will be completely finished by Christmas. Let's hope it is and that part of the building is returned to it's former glory!

Review 8：We first stayed here 10 years ago (we have friends who live in Liberec) We have seen it change from a post communist hotel to one almost ready for 2014! We are very fond of it - and the long serving staff, the younger restaurant staff we encountered were great although they didn't have the depth of wine knowledge that previous staff had - however they were efficient, polite and we enjoyed being srved by them. The restaurant was always quite good and it is now run by a franchise BENADA which is owned by the owner of the hotel(see the red box!) The dishes we had over the 3 nights we were there were in the main extremely good - the goose leg, rolled pork and trio of lamb chops should not be missed! The starters are also very good too. We will always go back!!
