Reviews for Hotel L'Etable

Review 1:Used this hotel as an overnight stop during a touring holiday, what a find ! .Super owners who were very helpful. Everything about this place is quality, the room was spotless and very nicely appointed with view over the valley from the balcony. I stayed in summer but as this is a ski resort i would image this would be a perfect ski setting once everthing is covered in snow, wish i could visit again in winter ! Good wifi connection and plenty of parking were added bonus. Only down side is its quite a long drive to get to the resort and the road ends there so it back down the road again in the morning if your are using this as an overnight stop, not a problem but just bear that in mind. Overall i thoroughly enjoyed my visit and i would highly recommend this property particularly if you are goiing on a winter ski trip. Very happy with everything

Review 2:A basic breakfast No minibar or electric kettle in the room

Review 3:Breathtaking view from the window New rooms, tastefully decorated, very comfortable bed The owners were very courteous and were willing to help with any questions

Review 4:a kettle or a refrigerator could have been nice.

Review 5:the room was so warm and cozy, designed beautifully. everything in the room was just awesome. there was a TV in english!!! this is very rare.

Review 6:Pascale and Sebastien are incredibly welcoming hosts. I liked it so much I have stayed at this hotel twice in the same trip! The location is out of the town of Champery up in the hills, has beautiful views of the mountains and the alpine meadows. The rooms are modern, comfortable and it's definitely worth paying for a room with a balcony!

Review 7:Beautiful views, extremely nice and helpful owners of the Hotel, cosy rooms cleaned every day, local restaurant&bar nearby, perfect place for mountain walks, mountain biking, lifts nearby. The road was OK.

Review 8:Breakfast very limited for the 15 EUR / pers charged. We had to ask for vegetables and honey, which I find basic for any healthy breakfast in the world.

Review 9:Landscape and surroundings, quietness, owners' positive attitude.

Review 10:It was our luck to be on our trip during a less busy time in Les Crosets and so had an opportunity to chat a bit with the owners of L'Etable who were incredibly hospitable, kind and humble. We were hiking along the GR5 trail and we highly reccomend taking the detour for this hotel from Chaux Palin.

Review 11:There was nothing that we didn't like .

Review 12:The honest , warm hospitality of the owners Pascale & Sebastien . They made us feel at home right a way !

Review 13:When we boooked outnight there was some road work going on in the area.so there is some diversion on our way. We were travelling atnight so theroad was a bit scary but itgets better after half the diversion. The total diversion driving time is 30mins. If u driving in the day time then u will enjoy the scenary but at night its a bit scary.

Review 14:Location Rooms Toilet amenities Room decor Quiet sleep Understanding staff

Review 15:It's not for shoppers or people looking for a variety of restaurants and bars/nightlife

Review 16:Ski out and ski in , the decor, the breakfasts (croissants to die for !!!) the pistes were wide and empty and perfect conditions.the food delicious

Review 17:We could not fault it! Would definitely return.

Review 18:The hotel and staff were excellent, we could to have asked for anymore. The food at Chez Nelly's and the restaurant at the hotel were both superb, a ver high quality of food and choice

Review 19:Fantastic location with easy access to Avoriaz and the whole of the Portes du Soleil. Catarina and Thierry are so friendly and the food is excellent. Chez Nelly is across the road with a buzzing atmosphere and more good food.

Review 20:can't be recommended outside of season (between 31st of August and December)...EVERYTHING was closed (chairlifts, supermarket, tourist office, etc etc), there was only 1 restaurant open (and that closed at 7pm (!) during the week), it was like a ghost town...

Review 21:nice, modern hotel lovely stuff (as far as we saw anybody) amazing view

Review 45:We did not feel very welcome. The employees seemed kind of depressed. No minibar, breakfast is very modest. No eggs, not even when we asked for them.

Review 46:The quality of the food and wines in the restaurant.

Review 47:Would have been great to have a book in the room about what was available in the hotel and the village. Not many places to eat on a Sunday night in the village.

Review 54:the staff is great and the location is perfect with the possibility to ski from/to the entrance of the hotel (only a few steps to the storage area)

Review 55:Minor inconvenient : a very charming hotel in a not so nice surrounding. Nothing to do apart from skiing.

Review 56:All together very good. Excellent location for winter sport and ski runs access. Great view.

Review 57:Would be nice, if there was a relaxed seating area to get a cup of tea after ski-ing. Little concerned about the drive up the mountain, although understand, you can get a train to Aigle, then owners will arrange a taxi.
