Reviews for Hotel Kimal

Review 1:Rooms are quite small and very hot at night. Wi-fi is poor away if your room is far away from the exception area. Restaurant is overpriced.

Review 2:Excellent location close to the main street. Free tea/coffee available all day at reception area. Packed lunches provided when you have an early departure for an excursion.

Review 3:The room was a bit warm for sleeping, but everything else was very comfortable.

Review 4:Location is super quiet, but really close to great restaurants and shopping. Lovely traditional style adobe room, spacious for a family with 2 young children but all together which we needed.

Review 5:Lovely hotel in a beautiful oasis town. Our room was was attractively decorated, and the bed was very comfy. The outdoor seating by the our and the pool were great places to sit during the sunny, warm weather.

Review 6:They were very keen for us to vacate the room and we had several hours before our flight we sat at one of the tables by the pool to get some shade and they came and set the table around us almost as if to say you are not welcome also we ordered 3 items on room service and they all came wrong we stayed here for a week and were given a family room which we were charged top rate when we clearly didn't require this room as there were just 2of us!!

Review 7:Staff! Staff is polite, but useless. Even communicating in Spanish they were unable to give clear information. They would explain things like day trip prizes, late checkin, and early breakfast only to later give different info when requesting these. Extremely frustrating.

Review 8:Facilities.

Review 9:As a solo traveller I was told on arrival I could not join the tours arranged by the hotel, instead had to book independently in town. Loved the agencies in town so it all worked out, but not impressed with the hotel's lack of customer service.

Review 10:Perfect location, right in town, and very quiet. Beautiful garden, pool area and small roof top terrace with stunning mountain / volcano views. They make a great Pisco Sour.

Review 11:Bathrooms had a constant 'septic tank' smell. Front desk staff was seemed annoyed when we asked questions and generally, couldn't answer any of our basic questions - 'can we get a late check out?', 'do you know what agency might be able to help us try sand boarding?'. For one of our excursions, we requested a vegetarian breakfast to go, yet received a ham and cheese sandwich. At $220/night, I expect better. I've seen better customer services in backpacker hostels.

Review 12:Good location.

Review 13:Room has light coming in. No AC. Breakfast. Staff was great. Issues in checkout, when we were given a wrong form from staff. This form needed to be returned to them. When we contacted the hotel in Spanish about an item we left at the hotel, they never replied.

Review 14:The location was amazing! Very clean room, nice staff, breakfast was very good! Very good choice.

Review 15:The staff was amazingly warm, the food is excellent. overall it was a great vacation!

Review 16:Everything!

Review 17:- In walking distance to all the main places (bars, restaurants) of San Pedro - very nice an rich breakfast

Review 18:Everything was OK. Location: in the corner of the main street, excelent. Employees: very attention and prestative. Clean hotel.

Review 19:San pedro is a really expensive place for hotels. Although this hotel has an acceptable price regarding the city, nowhere else in the world I would agree to pay 220 dolars for a hotel like this!! The room is big but the bathroom makes it clear that it is not much better than a hostel with private bathroom. Also the room has a window on the ceiling that can be closed only with a light curtain, and it is above the bed! So if you mind the light on your face from sun rise, be sure to ask the reception if they have rooms without this. Also San pedro has its problems, one night we came back and there had no energy! And it´s pretty normal for them, so the lady in the reception didn´t even have candles to give me. But anyway, this is not the hotel´s fault.

Review 20:The hotel is perfectly placed around the corner of caracoles street. Their restaurant (across the street, at poblado kimal) is pretty good as well, they have a parking and the wifi works well most of the times. The room is big and the beds are confortable. The breakfats is really nice, with croissants, 3 fruits, cereals, eggs, etc. Heating worked well, but it must be hot in the room during the summer, since there isn´t AC.

Review 21:WI FI does not reach my room. Dinner is very expensive, and poorly served. No hot water, hate taking cold showers. Water in mini-bar too expensive. No TV, no radio. Hot water tub out of operation.

Review 22:The decoration is superb. The location is fantastic. The breakfast buffet is very good. It is very clean and comfortable.

Review 23:Very overpriced for what you get. Tour buses are very noisy and can be heard inside the rooms from 4.30am most days. Breakfast was a bit basic for the money.

Review 24:The place was clean and neat and felt safe. It's proximity to the Main Street makes getting around the town easy.

Review 25:It was very friendly, super close to the main street. The restaurant is excellent, prices are similar to other restaurants in San Pedro and the food is superb.

Review 26:You can charge restaurant to room but at check out must pay in pesos. This can be a problem in a small town if all ATMs stop working. Bring lots of cash to avoid this problem

Review 27:Location is wonderful. Staff from reception to maids and restaurant staff are great and attentive. It is pricey but everything in San Pedro is expensive. Will stay there again.

Review 28:Charging usd200 for a double room in this 3 star hotel sounds like ajoke (if only it was)! No hairdryer in the rooms (you can borrow one),no radio, no tv, no air-conditioning, thin walls and no wifi in therooms and there was no connection most of the time anyway. Therestaurant claims to serve Andin nouvelle cuisine (for us it meant smallportions on big plates for high prices). Usd130 maximum per room wouldbe a more reasonable price.

Review 29:Nice premises. Good location. Comfortable bed. Fridge in the room.

Review 30:The price was too high but then it was a Chilean holiday.

Review 31:The location is excellent and most of the staff were helpful and interested.

Review 32:Very helpful and friendly staff, good breakfeast, picknick option forearly starting tours
