Reviews for Au NIDaigle

Review 1:No bad experience

Review 2:Hostess/owner knew every little detail about her facility and was tireless in her efforts to ensure our comfort and answer our needs. Breakfast was very good too. We had some difficulty finding the place, but to be fair we did arrive about 3 hrs after sundown on a dark night.

Review 3:Outside the control of the B & B, but there is a train close enough to the B & B that it can disturb your sleep, but the location seems to be quiet otherwise.

Review 4:Everything was beautiful, comfortable, and relaxing. The hostess was warm and welcoming. The breakfast was delicious and varied. The surrounding landscape was beautiful too. I wish we had booked an extra night. We will definitely rebook for our next vacation.

Review 5:The best b&b we've ever stayed in and outranking the vast majority of five star hotels we've used. The attention to detail is quite remarkable!

Review 6:If you have heavy luggage, you will have to carry it up one stair, but the stay is absolutely worth the effort!

Review 7:We have never seen before a location that perfectly arranged, at least in our room was put a lot of love and thought in every detail. This house was built for bed and breakfast and it's obvious that the owners passion is bed and breakfast too. Very gentle people, great hospitality and an excellent breakfast, what could we possibly expect more?

Review 8:Only wished that the weather had cooperated and we could have arrived sooner and been able to enjoy the balcony. Due to heavy rains on our travel there, we arrived late and it was raining.

Review 9:The facility, room, property, and hostess. Everything.

Review 10:Locking hotel at 11 PM I had to go to the hospital, there was a 12 hour wait on emergency and did not arrive back until 5 AM. Fortunately there was someone there but it is just another thing to worry about.

Review 11:Friendliness of staff Large room Comfortable bed Great service by Kenny at front desk and Annette in dining room

Review 12:Absolutely nothing.

Review 13:The garden was a treat to walk around and the coffee, tea or juice and dessert was a special touch that I have not experienced at any B and B. I also liked the sound proofing of the rooms. Our stay was the best we have experienced.

Review 14:There is nothing to dislike.

Review 15:Everything from the moment of arrival. Really thought the evening touch of tea, coffee and square was lovely and this stood out for us as being an extra bonus.

Review 16:Would like a vegetarian option for breakfast

Review 17:Norma was very friendly and made us feel very welcome. The bedroom was very comfortable. The TV quality and the choice of channels was very good. Although one of us would have preferred a vegetarian option for breakfast, the food was perfectly prepared We noticed several thoughtful small touches around the house that made this B&B so homey. Everything was up to the high standards we like to see in a B&B. Good value for money.

Review 18:I have no complaints. The decor was not to my taste, but it was very traditional B&B style.

Review 19:Excellent breakfast and hospitality. Norma was willing to accommodate our 4 year old traveling companion in every way.

Review 20:The only issue we had is that the sign for the entrance to this lovely place is somewhat vague and blends into the foliage that is around this area.

Review 21:We have used B&B before. They are preferable over motel/hotels for many reasons. AuNIDaigle would rate at the top of the places we have stayed.

Review 22:The room was nicely decorated with a lot of personal touches, but there was no room for our staff.

Review 23:The homeowner was very pleasant, and did everything to make it a memorable stay. Nice, whimsically decorated garden.

Review 24:Everything! Will definitely stay here again, and I have no need to go to Edmunston - I will purposefully divert! Room was beautiful; owners were fabulous; communal areas were stunning and breakfast was just brilliant. A definite must stay for all travellers.

Review 25:Nothing was negative about the stay

Review 26:The b&b was just an amazingly beautiful place in every aspect of the stay. From the building to the furnishings to the exquisite breakfast. This is a must stay location if you are in the edmunston area. We will go back the next time we are in the area.

Review 27:Bed a little to firm for my aching body, sorry. Very thing else was beyond expectation!

Review 28:The property was beautifully landscaped. Included a nice campfire area a place to get coffee or hot water anytime during the day or night excellent. Thanks

Review 31:There is nothing here that I did not like

Review 32:Outstanding. Everything was beautiful and impeccable. This lady is obviously passionate about this project. Tons of remarkably interesting things placed around for guests to enjoy. There is a giant chess set in the yard. Breakfast was super special. We were just passing through Edmunston but this place was practically a destination in itsefl

Review 37:This was a very relaxing stay. Norma's welcome encourage us to feel free to use the wine glasses and sunroom to relax in. She provided a wonderful breakfast the next morning. We enjoyed a walk around the grounds before leaving.

Review 38:Our hosts had thought of everything and a lot more besides. Even a silver duck to rest your knife on between courses at breakfast. Beautiful house, well decorated. Excellent room and breakfast.

Review 39:No complaints at all.

Review 40:Home like atmosphere, "welcome home" greeting, comfort, tea and cookies on arrival, beautiful grounds, well appointed and equipped rooms, attention to details, gourmet breakfast...in short, everything!

Review 41:Nothing.

Review 42:Everything was excellent. One of the best B&Bs we have been in. Very clean. Tea, coffee and sweet available for guests. Excellent full breakfast. Lovely grounds but we were unable to take advantage of the walking trail due to wet weather.

Review 43:A warm welcome on a cold night (with even a snack awaiting us!) and a delicious Acadian-inspired breakfast and a nice conversation with our charming hostess in the morning. A lovely stay.

Review 44:I didn't spend enough time there. I wish I could have stayed longer.

Review 45:I really like the thought and planning that went into the decorating the Bed & Breakfast. It was charming, like home yet away from home. the breakfast was delicious. The hospitality was warm and friendly. I am planning on returning.

Review 46:Nothing

Review 47:The hostess, Norma, was a lovely person, and actually helped us plan our trip around Montreal - managed to go around it instead of through which is a nightmare. The beds were comfortable, good sleep, excellent breakfast. All in all, a wonderful experience!

Review 48:Enjoyed a quiet respite from a hectic travel here. Lovely home with updated amenities and pretty landscaped walks to stroll. The breakfast experience was delicious and is steeped with a love of the New Brunswick culture. We enjoyed the dialogue with the other guests at the Au NIDaigle.

Review 55:Quiet location, beautifully appointed room, good attention to detail. Sitting room and porch area for guest use. Breakfast was amazing, traditional Acadian pancakes...then eggs Benedict, plus fresh cheeses and condiments....

Review 56:My wife and I were taking our son to Halifax for University. We needed to leave before 7:00 in the morning to make our ferry reservations in St. John. The owner herself, woke up early to make us breakfast and get us on our way. Thanks for all your help. Lovely.

Review 57:Finding the location was a challenge worth the effort. Its signs are not readily visible for a home down a lengthy driveway.

Review 58:Our hostess was excellent, the decor was charming, the grounds were attractive.

Review 59:Location was a little difficult to find.

Review 60:view, quietness and solitude What a wonderful place to live, I will stay there again if I am ever down that way

Review 61:Need a car, too far to walk to restaurants and we needed to stay in this lovely town another day.

Review 62:Breakfast was a treat, with some traditional food. a beautifully furnished and decorated B & B. Rooms are up 1 flight of stairs. We visited the excellent botanical Gardens and Car museum, both located conveniently close together

Review 63:There was no problem for us. However, the rooms are located upstairs, and may present a problem to some guests.

Review 64:Norma and Felix were very friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. We had to go to Montreal the next day, and were not sure how to get to our hotel. Norma and Felix helped us out immensely. They also filled up our water bottles. We had stayed at Au NI Daigle in 2009, and would definitely stay there again. Nice room, wonderful breakfast, and a friendly couple. What more could you ask for?

Review 65:My friends couldn't get their air con to work....I didn't need it in my room.

Review 66:Everything about the place was absolutely first rate. The owner met us on arrival and welcomed us. She showed us places to go for supper and she served a typical New Brunswick breakfast.

Review 67:The room was very warm (early July) but this was our fault... Didn't request that the air con be turned on.

Review 68:Our host was gracious, charming and helpful. We cannot comment on the location as it was a stopover and we didn't get a chance to visit Edmunston. Overall, a lovely B&B.
