Reviews for Hostal Patagonia
Review 1:Next time I will try to find a better option. Seemed like a hostal...not a hotel. Very noisy from the street. Moldy shower. Room seemed a bit dirty. Stray glass on the radiator...
Review 2:Sheets were nice for a hostal
Review 3:Limited space and proposal for breakfast Very very noisy on Saturday night with street race and cars showing off at 4 - 5 am
Review 4:Clean rooms, with flexible accommodation Right next to "plaza de armas" and restaurants at center of the city Good value for little money if you're just looking for a stop over for one or two nights
Review 5:There are not rooms at the first floor, and there is not any lift either, so I can not stay there with my mother. This is not bad, It is just not the right place for people with movement problems.
Review 6:Everything, very nice people at the reception desk and the services, clean rooms, right room temperature, location, etc.
Review 7:The staff was difficult to deal with at times, and not always attentive..there can be some noise issues, especially if the hotel has a lot of guests (and try to stay away from rooms facing the main street).
Review 8:Great location, good facilities, price is good compared to other options in the city...
Review 9:The chain in the toilet tank was torn apart and I had to flush the toilet manually by opening the cover of the toilet tank.
Review 10:The hotel was able to arrange the same day afternoon Fuerte Bulnes tour though I arrived there in the morning on the day. The staff tried to help my needs (sushi) despite his limited English ability.
Review 11:Bed was uncomfortable and the bathroom was the smallest I have ever seen! My wife is 5'4" and her knees touched the wall while sitting on the toilet.
Review 12:Inexpensive and clean. The facility is in good shape
Review 13:my room was opposite the toilet and it was disgusting to hear some drunk vomiting etc. you really could hear everything late at night.not hostels fault of course.
Review 14:friendly staff mainly servant for breakfast.
Review 15:location perfect
Review 16:Wifi is irregular. You have to choose between a room on the street with the noise or one in the back without a view...
Review 17:Central location
Review 18:A little over priced, but typical of this area.
Review 19:Cosy, friendly, helpful staff.
Review 20:Bit expensive.

Review 31:easy simple hotel on central location. rooms are small but clean, people friendly and helpfull. very good cafe next door.
Review 32:Noisy room, bed sheets noto really clean, poor breakfast. Overpriced for the city and the place
Review 33:Central position, close to bus terminal
Review 34:After reading very mixed reviews we were pleasantly surprised by the Hostal that had good wi-fi, a satisfying breakfast and clean facilities. Beds were comfortable, rooms heated and the location was in easy walking distance to attractions.
Review 35:Very disappointed in the room furnishings and decor. It felt likeEastern Europe in the 80s.
Review 36:The breakfast was very good and balanced. The staff were helpful.
Review 37:We left early so we could not have the breakfast.
Review 38:The location was close to everything. The staff was very helpful and watched our bags during an excursion.
Review 39:This hostal has great central location, however that is where the goodstuff ends. The staff speak very little english, therefore can offer nosuggestions or help with activities. Our room was directly off thereception are. It was extremely noisy throughout the day and night. Notworth what you pay!!
Review 40:The building is a bit old, but the room is clean, no complain.
Review 41:It's near the town centre, that most of the long distance buses stop. Staff are friendly and helpful.
Review 42:The street outside was pretty noisy at night - sounded like cars racing up the street and lots of people chatting (though I did stay there on two Saturday nights, maybe weekdays its OK...)
Review 43:Good location; nice breakfast (cereals, bread, ham, cheese, eggs); friendly and helpful staff. Nice cafe/coffee shop nextdoor. Good base for a night or two in Punta Arenas
Review 44:Bathroom didn't seem so clean. The staff didn't speak anyenglish, but they were friendly and communication worked withhand and feed.
Review 45:The location of the hostal was very good
Review 46:Though non-smoking, cigarette smoke was everywhere. No heating in the hallways, or bathrooms. Looks somewhat run-down. Flaky wifi.
Review 47:We liked the price, and the central heating (not very common in hostels around the area!)
Review 48:Seemed like a men's YMCA. Nothing pretty or really clean. Old stuff everywhere and needs updating. Felt like a POOR hotel in need of care. Nice staff and ok breakfast. There was hot eggs. Location is close to the plaza that had little stands with touristy items.
Review 49:Everything was ok.
Review 50:Our room was a bit run down compared to some of the other rooms. Thewalls are very thin and we could hear our neighbor's shower veryclearly. There was also a considerable amount of noise from the street. Also asked the staff for a map when we checked in, they said theydidn't have one, even though they have a travel booking desk in thelobby (where I found a map later)! Didn't feel like a good value forthe money.
Review 51:There is a great coffee shop next door. Plenty of hot water, althoughthe shower is small. The room was clean, although the furniture wasold and worn.
Review 52:Extremelly cold, especially in the bathroom, was not possible to take shower because it was freezing. Notice: it's a summer. can't imagine how could it be in winter ;-) Everything is very old, clean, but old. Bed was good, all other stuff was very old. Location good but there is one of the main streets behind the window so... very loud. Staff don't speak english at all.
Review 53:Fair choice for budget travel. Location is good.
