Review 4：I originally put my suitcase under the bed, before withdrawing it to get something and finding it covered in dust - it turned out that whoever had been vacuuming hadn't cleaned under the bed. The housekeeping needed to be asked to get, for example, more toileteries, and if you were in the room when they came, they would simply leave and not come back.

Review 5：The hotel was well-located, walking distance to the town centre and lake. The staff were pleasant and friendly and the room itself was comfortable. The breakfast was nothing remarkable but nor were there any problems with it, particularly considering the hotel is only two stars.

Review 6：Excellent hotel tucked away from the main streets. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Free bike hire was available and we used these to cycle around the lake. Breakfast was fresh croissants, bread, cheese, cereals, fruit and yoghurts. We left with full tummies and smiles on our faces.

Review 11：Very noisy! Room over busy road, no air con so needed to leave window open as room extremely small resulting in poor sleep. Staff spoke very poor German, French and English so communication very difficult. Breakfast rather basic with little choice.

Review 34：The owner was a lovely friendly man, nothing was too much trouble. He was very attentive when I went down for dinner. The dinner was true home cooking rustic but beautiful flavours. The location to the station was superb. No need for a taxi or bus even with big cases. It's very close to the river so if you fancy a nice walk on a sunny day I would recommend this. The room was big, clean and had a lovely comfortable bed. I would deffenatly stay here again.

Review 38：Adding to comments made on 13 August last year, this time it was a Winter visit. Whilst cold outside the room temperature was fine and you heard hardly any noise from outside as the insulation was effective. As said last year I would stay again.

Review 39：Because I checked out early on my last day of my hotel stay at Artus andwanted to return later to claim my luggage and bag. I wished they couldplace my luggage and bag in a safe and secure place with locks, ratherto find my luggage and bag still in the restaurant open area. AlthoughNikolla assured me that it is safe, but I still do not feel it is safeenough, so if they can put it in a storage room with locks and securethis will give their guests a peace of mind.

Review 40：Nikolla the person who checks me in and out of the hotel and alsoprepared the breakfast every morning was very nice and friendly to me.The hotel isn't 5 stars, but it is clean and has its own bathroom not sharing. It is very near to the town, shopping and train station of Biel/Bienne. Plus Nikolla also loan me a bicycle to ride around town. At a very reasonable price, plus good service and free bicycle loan what more can one ask. This is an excellent hotel, so if you are looking to stay at Biel don't forget to look up or consider Hotel Artus.

It is expensive for London standards and expectation but I think it was reasonable compared to other Swiss hotels in the area and in peak season.

Review 54：It was close to the convention centre and very easy and close to the train station. The area felt safe and I saw a lot of places you can eat though I didn't get the chance to try any.

Review 55：I had an email from Booking.com saying there was a no-show for one night at the hotel. This was wrong and put down to a lack of communication between the owner and his assistant.

It was very hot the week we stayed and without asking, the owner supplied a sheet to cover the comfortable bed instead of a duvet. Thoughtful. It is on a corner and because there is no air conditioning, windows were open and traffic noise is there but not continuous The location is good being only 5-6 minutes walk from the railway station and a couple of blocks away from the noise of people sitting outside cafes in the centre. The breakfast was not extravagant but adequate consisting of juice, cereals, ham, cheese, rolls, croissants and coffee. I chose the place for the price & location and would stay again. The place is a little dated but has a charm of its own. It is what it is.
