Review 1：It is unacceptable for a 4 stars room to not have even a simple shower curtain. Not to mention any device for cleaning the water. My guess is that, in the end, the hotel will end up by paying more on washing the towels ...

Review 3：The architecture of the hotel was beautiful. The grounds and gardens looked really nice. The dinner was delicious. There was a chubby waiter that was very helpful and very nice. In the morning, there was a server with glasses and she was great, she had to pick up the other girls work for sure LOL

Review 4：We got a suit and the room was huge. However, the bathroom was terrible. The shower was over a tiny tub and I mean tiny. My 9 year old couldn't even fit in it never mind a 6'4 man. The water from the tub was draining in the floor somehow, however it wouldn't drain completely and it was just standing on the floor and was a total slip and fall accident waiting to happen. Also on the pictures it showed a washing machine, but there was no such a thing in our room. There was only the place where the machine was and the plumbing for it. We ran the AC at night and the condensing water started dripping right on their wood floor after 2 hrs of working. Not only did it keep me up but also I was worried about damaging their floors. We had to turn it off and just suffer the heat. The breakfast was OK nothing special. There was one server that she literally just stayed and watched TV and if you asked her something she would give you a look like "How dare you interrupt her TV story" it was actually pretty funny more than annoying. The rooms were smoke free, however the front office was like you are walking into a bar. I stayed for 5 min and had to take a shower after that, everything stunk like cigarets. The pool was a disappointment as well. Some of the tiles on the deck were lifting up and my son sliced the bottom of his foot walking around. The water had sooooo much chlorine that you can smell the evaporation. I didn't even want to go in but my kids liked swimming in it and after that got rashes and extremely dry skin that I am still dealing with which I believe is due to the chlorine.

Review 6：The staff was really unpleasent and impolite to us. Four stars hotel they wanted to Across all facilities to go to reception to get the iron. Finally after 2nd conversation they bring it but without table... Than they bring and table. We left hotel late check out and we forgot to leave the key. On the next day we send it trough couriers but afterwards receive phone call that we steal the key!.. No comment on this! Don't stay at this hotel!

Review 20：The food in the restaurant was OK, although they tend to overcook the meat dishes, one night I had a pork fillet which was well overdone, with all the juices and taste cooked out of it.

Review 21：The fact that there are few stairs to climb, because the complex is mostly on one level, was an advantage for me as I had a broken foot, and was using crutches. The location does not really give you any good views because it is on the lower part of Arbanasi and to get the best views you have to walk up to the upper part of the village overlooking Veliko Turnavo where the views are spectacular

Review 22：The pool didn't work. I chose this hotel mostly because of the pool, that was empty during our stay - mid summer time. The kids were very disapointed. The hotel laundry service cost fortune! more than our stay! so beware!

Review 26：I have stayed for 3 nights and only the first day there was soap and shampoo on the bath, the second day there was nothing then I have to call reception and ask for these kind of staff. On Sunday there was brunch at breakfast but the rest of my holiday there is very poor continental kind of breakfast, I had to order additional meal and pay for it.

Review 36：The advertisement of Rachev Hotel Residence on booking.com mentioned theroom as being "stocked with slippers and bathrobes". Well, it was not, Ihad to ask the reception for those commodities. By far the mostirritating thing was the very poor quality of the WiFi signal whichrendered useless searching mail and the Internet on my Kindle Fire. Thesignal was also non-existent in the breakfast room which was very closeto the reception room, the only place that had a satisfactory power ofthe WiFi signal. I would have also welcomed a vigorous action of thehotel staff at breaking the dangerous ice formed on the steps in theyard and toward the breakfast room. Luckily we escaped unharmed...

Review 37：Rachev Hotel Residence looks from afar like an old orthodox monasteryand in fact all rooms are arranged on the sides of a large inner yardthat gas somewhere an open pool. Sadly, as we've traveled for the NewYear's Eve party, the water in the pool, which was left filled in, wasiced... The room which we've chosen was the only one left at the timeof the booking so there was not really much left of a choice. Itexceeded our needs as a couple as it originally had one double bed andtwo kids' beds. We've been left at our request with only on extralittle bed so there was really plenty of space in the room. Also amention has to be made of the quality and diversity of the breakfast ascompared to - as much as I could see in Arbanasi - to the breakfastoffered by other hotels.
