Reviews for Treetops Guesthouse

Review 1:Doris is the nicest host. She helped us a lot with our missed luggage contacting directly the airline company and letting us enjoy the day. She gave us very good indication on restaurants and tours. Very good rooms, with good space. The bikes available helps a lot too. I would for sure indicate it to friends!

Review 2:Comfortable, immaculately maintained guest house with other chatty happy guests, a pleasant courtyard with fountain, hammocks and outdoor furniture to relax and read. A most helpful informative host,Doris, who makes sure every aspect is perfect.

Review 3:Nothing

Review 4:We had the sunset suite, which was lovely and clean and had the comfiest bed ever! The hotel went out of their way to store our luggage for us while we went on a sailing trip for a couple of nights. Great service and great value for money.

Review 5:We had to cross the cemetary in the dark to get there.

Review 6:The host was very welcoming and helpful. She gave us good tips on where to go. The location is at the end of the main street, but it is quiet.

Review 7:Great place in a quieter part of the island, but super easy to get around and didn't feel out of the way at all. As a solo traveller it wasnt the most sociable place to meet people, but the whole island I found it easy to meet other travellers, so it didn't matter. I really enjoyed staying here, Doris was such a great source of information. Highly recommended!

Review 8:Really comfy beds clean sheets and towels every second/third day . Exactly like the photos . Doris s years of knowledge about c.c . Was priceless.

Review 9:The bikes we borrowed had flat tires but we didn't realize until after we took them out. Just take a close look before renting to make sure they'll work for you.

Review 10:We stayed in both the luxury suite one night and cheaper shared bathroom rooms and thought both were very comfortable, clean, and well appointed. Doris was very friendly and helpful and the garden area around the guesthouse is beautiful. The location is pretty good too!

Review 11:The hostess was very arrogant to her staff, and was continiously compaining about them to us. A shared bathroom for 70usd is way to expensive. There are better options for half the money.

Review 12:Clean big room.

Review 13:Doris helped us before we even arrived by arranging our ground transportation and the water ferry for our arrival, which was much easier from her end. She welcomed us as if we were old friends coming to visit; she recommended great places to eat and shop, which was right on mark. Our room was very clean and comfortable, and had great views (very romantic). I abolutely recommend staying here to anyone headed to Caye Caulker. We're really looking forward to our next stay at Tree Tops Guesthouse with Doris and her great staff!

Review 14:A little difficult to locate if you arrive at Caue Caulker in the dark - easily avoid getting lost by taking a golf-cart taxi.

Review 15:Great rooms, clean and in a quiet but handy location, about 5 minutes walk from the middle of town (make it 10 minutes when you're walking at island pace).

Review 16:I had a brief but lovely stay at Tree Tops. The accommodation is clean, spacious and quiet, and Doris is a charming hostess and very helpful in suggesting restaurants, snorkelling tours, and assisting me with flight and taxi arrangements. Treetops is off the main road so nice and quiet, and has a little section by the waterside where you can relax and watch life go by. I also had a private terraced area, and access to the rooftop terrace and the courtyard which if I'd had more time I would have utilised. Highly recommended.

Review 17:Doris was very hospitable and the property was well maintained and just a little walk to all shops and restaurants and has I nice seating are at the water.

Review 18:Me and my friend we were really tired as we had an awful night in Belize City and we really needed to do an early check and just shower and sleep. We arrived around 10 am and we were charged $30.00 USD for an early check in. As we were in real need of a shower and a bed, we agreed to pay the amount. However, for an available room and a couple of hours before, we thought it was just too much. At night, around 9:30, we came to the door and asked if there was a room available for the next day and the owner came up to the door in a very arogant and rude way yelling about why did we bother her. We understand that is not a big hotel and have many staff but this was only a question and the attitude was real bad. Finally, the check out is very early, which after paying $30.00 USD and the yelling from the owener, we just thought that it was not soch a good place.

Review 19:A clean place to stay in Caye Cualker.

Review 20:The stairs were rather steep for older folks.

Review 21:One of the best rooms we've stayed in on Caye Caulker! Very clean and excellent decor. And bathing soap and shampoo was the best!

Review 22:Doris, the owner is lovely, accommodating, and maintains a high standard for her property. The location is a perfect balance of seclusion and access to all of the restaurants and shops. Rooms are very clean, large, and air conditioned. Enhanced beach coming soon!

Review 23:We got to Caye Caulker on a rainy afternoon and Doris the owner welcomed us and immediately upgraded us to the top suite which got less rain and s chance of water getting in. She was so helpful, gave us a hand made copy of the map of the island with some recommendations for places to eat and do our diving. The room had a comfy big bed, very clean, fresh towels every day and great A/C and wifi from inside the room. The place is well maintained and each room is unique with different decor, some are Doris's! Since its a bit far from the center (and I'm talking about 4 min more walk on the beautiful island) it felt more safe - the location is actually an advantage opposed to our friends experience, that had stayed in a different hostel at the center and got a not so friendly visitor at the middle of the night which was terrifying for them (someone got into their room at night!) I'd definitely come back!

Review 24:Like a hidden gem,but one that everyone you ask on caye caulker speaks highly of, Treetops does not disappoint. My wife and I were upgraded on arrival and we made sure to thank our wonderful host, Doris, when we saw her. The rooms are immaculate and the views from the penthouse suite rooftop are amazing. Great wifi, great air con, great bed and a highly helpful host! Our only problem was that we didn't stay longer...

Review 25:The owner was friendly and helpful. The room was lovely with 2 terraces, clean and spacious

Review 26:We had the deluxe/king suite, which was great. Everybody was very friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed our stay very much!

Review 27:Wonderful owner, clean, nice room, quiet. Shared bathroom - however it was shared by only two rooms.

Review 28:Clean accommodations ,friendly staff and great location in the quieter area of the island right close to the water

Review 29:Doris was great for advice on events/restaurants/shops throughout Caye Caulker.

Review 30:Quiet guesthouse, away from the main street. Beachfront property. Immaculately clean. Friendly, knowledgeable owner- gave helpful advice.

Review 31:hard beds. They over charge for their tours. Go to San Ignacio and book your tours in town and save a ton.

Review 32:cool atmosphere

Review 33:Friendly staff and quiet location that was still a very short walk to everything.

Review 34:Very nice guesthouse, was simple & clean & great location. Nice service

Review 35:Doris is a wonderful host who is very knowledgeable about activities and sights on the island from snorkeling, diving, to just relaxing!

Review 36:Clean rooms, friendly staff,...
