Reviews for The Colonel's In Bed and Breakfast

Review 1:Larger TV would be nice but not a deciding factor .

Review 2:Everything! . Lovely, accommodating hostess, unique gourmet breakfast, character Victorian home, beautiful view, easy access to footbridge, walking trails, amenities ...such a nice change from hotel accommodation.

Review 3:Wonderful location. Colonel's In we had the Dragoon Room - wonderful view, sitting area, spacious and roomy. Quiet, clean, really we could not ask for more. Breakfast was 1st class with a friendly warm host. Fee wifi

Review 4:One of the best BnB's we have stayed in...perfect in every way. Cindy was very welcoming when we arrived and very gracious at breakfast. I would recommend it highly and wish we could have stayed another night.

Review 5:Due in on Sat. Nite Had to move up a day, Friday. They had no room so wecancelled Sat. Nite. They charged our credit card even though we gave 24hr notice. We had no working cell phone or WiFi so had to use a ?station in nb. Still wouldn't accept our reasoning and went so faras to email asking for request to readvertize room. How could we get theemail in time - no service. We were trying to be considerate by trackingdown the ? on the hywy. To be able to tell of our plight. They were verystructured and unsympathetic and unappreciative of our efforts. Verydisappointing since all other B&B owners were wonderful with anychanges ( had to make 1 other due to weather).

Review 6:Location and write-ups.

Review 7:Nothing

Review 8:Cindy was so welcoming and had already called before we arrived to check availability for dinner reservations. She made sure we had everything we needed. The breakfast was fabulous!

Review 9:Would have liked eggs for breakfast rather than all carbohydrates (muffins and pancakes). Good though.

Review 10:Location was perfect, on the river and a lively walk to downtown.

Review 11:Absolutely nothing!!

Review 12:Amazing breakfast!! Friendly staff Super clean, large room Feel bad for other B&B's on our trip cause they won't live up to this one!!

Review 13:Nothing. This is a really nice place to stay.

Review 14:Lovely room. Clean. Great breakfast. Really good location along some nice walking paths and a short trip over a footbridge to Fredricton.

Review 15:We had a nice stay at The Colonel's In B&B. We were a last minute booking but Cindy was very welcoming and accommodating. Comfortable rooms and good food. You can't go wrong with this B&B.

Review 16:Beautiful old house, nicely maintained and very clean. Freshly prepared breakfast was outstanding. The muffins were hot out of the oven and were some of the best I have ever tasted! The owners were very friendly and helpful. Easy 5-minute drive into downtown Fredericton.

Review 17:Cindy made us feel so welcomed especially being so far away from home (other side of the world) and home cooked breakfast was just what we needed after spending two weeks travelling. The room was well appointed and so comfortable, and well-located, delight to take the short picturesque walk to downtown for restaurants and entertainment

Review 18:Nothing at all

Review 19:Very nice reception by our host. Very nice room (seperate entry, located above garage). About 15 minute walk to downtown Fredericton crossing the St. John river using an old railroad track bridge. Very nice little town! Enjoyed our stay

Review 20:Ms MacDonald can make a bed better than I could in the Army. You could bounce a $2 coin off the bed.

Review 21:too bad Cindy MacDonald wants to retire. She is an excellent hostess, a good tour director and outstanding cook. The Inn's location to downtown Fredericton can't be beat for walkers and bicyclists.

Review 22:Lovely property, spacious, comfortable room, excellent breakfasts. Our hostess gave us wonderful advice that made our visit to Fredericton very enjoyable. Would recommend to anyone visiting the area.

Review 23:The road is busy, so there was street noise in the room. To be consistent with the remarkably high quality food, a properly steeped pot of tea would be great and perhaps not much more effort than that which obviously went into the food preparation.

Review 24:Cindy's fine quality food is surely the highlight here. The room was also high quality, with comfort, cleanliness and function all fine. Cindy's hospitality seems quite sincere and nonintrusive.

Review 25:Spotless B&B in Fredericton. Owned and run by the lovely and accommodating Cindy. Large rooms and bathrooms. Free wifi. Delicious breakfast. I cannot rate highly enough .

Review 65:The breakfasts are worth getting up for, even after a very late night after a wedding. The only place I know where you are served a three-course breakfast! Cindy is thoughtful and accommodating host. Thanks again Cindy for adding to the success of our daughter's wedding.

Review 66:The entire experience was excellent. The breakfasts delicious and plentiful. The attention to detail in the daily housekeeping would put the Belagio in Vegas to shame. Cindy was extremely knowledgeable about her city and made me feel very welcome in her home, ever gracious. She very ably directed this westerner around the city and the province. I loved the fact that I was able to easily access the city core by walking!

Review 67:What a wonderful immaculate place to stay; 15 minutes to the down-town core courtesy of the walking bridge, and the view of the river was perfect! Cindy was a welcoming and gracious hostess, and we had the best darn cinnamon rolls ever (better than mine). Hope to be back soon!

Review 68:My wife was ill so she was unable to fully able to enjoy the hospitality.

Review 69:I can't say enough about how we were treated during our stay. We were moving our daughter to Fredericton, so after having a long tiresome day, it was so nice to feel so welcome and have such a clean comfortable place to stay. We had a great nights sleep. Unfortunately my wife became ill in the morning (due to the previous days actively) but the room was so quiet and clean (spotless) it was a wonderful place to recover. The breakfasts were superb and the MacDonald, s are great hosts, they have put a lot of effort into making this inn a must place to stay while in Fredericton. Not only would we stay again, but we wouldn't, look for another place to stay.

Review 70:located along a very busy street, which caused a lot of traffic noise.

Review 71:nice, clean and well located in terms of easy access to downtown Fredericton. Beautiful breakfast!

Review 72:All was good.

Review 74:We felt very welcome. Our host spent time with us giving directions towhere we were going. She is very knowledgeable about the area. Our roomwas very comfortable, very clean, spacious & cozy.

Review 76:No applicable

Review 77:Cindy the owner is exceptional with her guests. It is the first time we stayed at a B&B and would not hesitate to stay there again if in the area again.

Review 78:A really lovely place to stay. Thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast experience, good food and excellent company. Very well looked after by our host, a wonderful house, beautiful and tastefully decorated/furnished.

Review 79:Only the noisy air conditioning and the lack of a kettle in the room. But small gripes which didn't spoil the visit

Review 80:Unfortunately we didn't get the room we had booked however Cindy dealt with it really well so no hard feelings! The breakfast was superb and the hospitality excellent. Great location , the walk across the footbridge was pleasant and Fredricton an interesting place to visit.

Review 81:I felt that the sky light in our bathroom (our room was in a separate building) had a weird viewing angle that other rooms could see.

Review 82:Great location, staff, and facilities. Very "home" feeling.

Review 83:Excellent value for our money. Service was exceptional right down to the breakfast which was designed especially (and thoughtfully) for us due to dietary restrictions. Cindy was exceptionally helpful and guided us in making our travel plans for the day. We would go back again and more importantly - highly recommend.

Review 84:Terrific location, with Fredericton downtown just across the pedestrian bridge. Also, a choice of several restaurants a short walk away. Very easy location to find on arrival and for leaving the city. Comfortable attractive room, and a really good breakfast.

Review 85:It's not a minus, but a suggestion: it would be great to have 24 hr hot water for coffee or tea... As in most B&B.

Review 86:Nice, clean and well located B&B.

Review 87:Cindy was very nice and helpful with what to do. The room was large and very clean. Breakfast was good.
