Reviews for Sparkling Hill Resort

Review 1:We waited 2 hours to get the "robes" you use to walk to & from the spas - spoke to 3 different staff - staff knew it was a problem but lied about the wait time Restaurant was average

Review 2:Facility - great spas and layout

Review 3:dinner on the first night was bad sent back the duck way to salty and over cooked...Wife had chicken with crab got ill and was was dealing with sever stomach crams for the rest of my stay

Review 4:spa, staff, room

Review 5:Room looked nice but very small. No coffee in the room. Breakfast included with room was worst that poor. Ordinary TV channels in rooms would have been nice. Limited supply or newspapers. Massages were expensive for what was received. Should @ least measure up to the standards in Vancouver.

Review 6:It was clean.

Review 7:house keeping department is poor. When I arrived there is only one slipper in my room, so I requested another one for my boyfriend. I waited half an hour and no one came so I called again, and it took another 15 minutes for them to come.

Review 8:front desk staff were very nice, great service. beautiful hotel.

Review 9:Do not waste your time at the restaurant for supper. The food was ok and was extremely expensive.

Review 10:We stayed two nights at the hotel and had a wonderful time. The pool and spas were so relaxing. The bed was so comfortable I did not move all night and the breakfast was one of the best I've ever had.

Review 11:Last seating for dinner is 9pm and room service stops at 930. They do have a Deli open until midnight but just cold cuts. We showed up at 910 and they would not seat us. Fortunately the front desk was able to place a room service order for us. Salvaged the situation.

Review 12:The location is stunning and the spa was first class. Pool and hot tub were excellent as well.

Review 13:When we arrived I was greeted with smiles felt special, then we where up graded to the penthouse suite I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart it was my birthday and this was a great surprise. Thank you Thank you Thank you we had an amazing time

Review 14:Not much to dislike about Sparkling Hills Resort.

Review 15:It is all good. Staff are very receptive and professonal to your requests and needs. Dining is excellent and the spa is very well maintained and clean. The spa staff are very attentive to their guests. It is wonderful that they offer "special packages" to the local residents. Always appreciated and feel very fortunate to have such a resort in the Okanagan to enjoy.

Review 16:Breakfast should include a station for fresh cooked eggs. The breakfast smorg was not up to the standards of a high end resort.

Review 17:View, Staff, hiking trails, ambiance

Review 18:Forgot our mucsic box & our pillows so slept poorly. Really wanted something in room to make a tea or coffee without leaving room or paying lots for such a thing. We both got an itch- rash ; not sure if from hot tub or linen on bed. We're very sensitive to some soaps & especially fabric softeners. My husband some disappointed in taste of steak but my meal awesome.

Review 19:Loved saunas.

Review 20:Some people don't understand spa edicate but it's not the hotels fault people don't stop talking in saunas or that it's a romantic place so your gonna see couples making out in the pool every now an then. For the sake of other guests if you stay somewhere keep you pda and personal conversations in your rooms, it's awkward for everyone

Review 21:On a very busy Friday we were checked in within 5 minutes to out beautiful mountain view room which actually turned out to be a corner suite so we did actually have a lake view as well! We ordered ice at check in and it arrived quickly after we got in our room and the front desk quickly after called to make sure our room was satisfactory. The saunas and steam rooms are always wonderful and are the main reason we go here to have "staycations". In the morning again on a very busy Saturday with a almost full restaurant we were steated right away and the service was lovely

Review 22:No one called us back to get into spa. Numerous messages. Booked a wine tour instead which was fun but not what we wanted to do. Room key never worked. 3 trips back and forth each time. Housekeeper never cleaned our room because she couldn't get in either. No one ever would follow up with our issues. Won't come back.

Review 23:The room was beautiful.

Review 24:-No one answered the phone- front desk or restaurant - no housecoat in room- argue with staff because they didn't believe me -can't compete with Banff springs, they give unlimited towel. - has spa treatment book for wrong day and then told us they didn't have room to reschedule..

Review 25:It is a beautiful facility, and has great potential, the beginning of the stay proved to be very disappointing but improved after some complaining.. I guess my point is for the amount of money that is charged, one should not have to fight for service. In the end it was a fair stay, and Sparkling hills rectified the wrongs but one would expect more from a world class Resort.

Review 26:It's expensive, not surprisingly!

Review 27:Sparking Hill Resort is a hilltop jewel in the Okanagan Valley. It's beautifully built with detailed attention to everything. Modern, clean, unique, lavish - an outstanding experience!

Review 28:The staff seems poorly trained. The server in the restaurant knew nothing of the wine list and then poured a glass of sediment for me. When I asked for another her answer was, "Cabernet is very rich, it is like that". When we made the reservation, the hotel was "pet friendly" and yet when we checked out, the manager insisted that we pay an additional charge of $25 plus a number of taxes because we were traveling with a pet. Evidently, they don't allow pets on floor one where we stayed. We stayed there three nights and no one ever questioned us even though we came and went with our little cockapoo four or more times a day. We are extremely careful with our dog and we left our room in perfect condition. I hated the confrontation at check out.

Review 29:The property is at the top of a hill with gorgeous views of the mountains and lake. The pool and spa area are well beautiful and well maintained. This hotel is meant for adults and I would not recommend this location for anyone under 19. The golf courses at Predator Ridge are great.

Review 30:Front desk staff a bit cold (older lady) as we were travelling with children and received a very abrupt response regarding our children not being permitted to use the spa. For the price point of the hotel I would assume better treatment..

Review 31:Amazing complimentary spa facilities/ crystsks everywhere- so magical

Review 32:Not a bad experience but thought the dining room prices were very expensive .

Review 33:The steam rooms and outdoor pool and view from our room.

Review 34:Fabulous resort

Review 35:Prices of drinks at restaurants

Review 36:Infinity pool.

Review 37:Everything, especially free valet parking, scenic view, breakfast, romantic pool

Review 38:Found food choice and value for $$$ lacking...only downside to our visit

Review 39:Steam baths and infinity pool

Review 40:We did not like the food to be honest it was horrible!

Review 41:Loved the pool!

Review 42:the dinner menu was very high priced for scant portions

Review 43:Breakfast was excellent

Review 44:Nice clean architecture Nice views Very welcoming Good restaurant with good local wines Very good SPA Nice hotelrooms with splendid views

Review 45:We called the hotel after we checked to ask the question about our payment. They said they will talk to their manager and call back but they never did. We booked the room at booking.com with $450 a night before tax, but they still charge $550 a night with no reason. All I want to say is me and my friend spent over $700 a night to stay there, but the truth is this value is not worth consider there facilities and breakfast.

Review 46:The staffs there are really nice.

Review 47:The rooms were not very soundproof I spent two sleepless nights because of other guests being extremely loud! I also couldn't dine in the restaurant because I was I aware if the dress code.

Review 48:Very noisy weekend. I did not g have one single quiet night due to loud music coming from the party room and loud, drunken neighbours. Too many weddings in one weekend :((

Review 49:The room and views are excellent. The restaurant is quite good.

Review 50:Pool loungers sit mostly in the shade until noon with only chairs in the very narrow sunny area. Better orientation of the facility upon arrival would be helpful. Some attantion to staff training would improve the service. Some staff (Chris - bellman and Janna - concierge were excellent).

Review 51:The building was beautiful and unique. The setting gorgeous. Chris - bellman and Janna - concierge were excellent.

Review 52:Hello My stay at Sparkling Hill was everything I had hoped for and more! I was looking for a quiet environment to spend time relaxing and it certainly provided it. My room was lovely and had a gorgeous view of the mountains. The meals in the dining room were lovely! The breakfast was really wonderful. I was very impressed by the friendly and extremely helpful staff. I would definitely come back and have already told a number of friends.
