Reviews for Hostal Ainil

Review 1:We thought it would be closer to the main street. It is not that far, but it was cold and raining so I guess, the closer the better ! Also, gas heating system in the room, scares me a little bit. But it is pretty common there.

Review 2:Friendly staff, nice room, confortable beds, common area with kitchen available

Review 3:The staff is very nice.

Review 4:Most hostels in Chile don't have breakfast until 8 or 8:30 which is late if you have an early start. So sometimes no breakfast :-(

Review 5:Central location but in a neighborhood. Comfortable room. Good breakfast. Nice staff. Also did our laundry.

Review 6:LOUD noise/music from nearby house for hours one night. Finally ended near midnight.

Review 7:Great breakfast, owners friendly, great shower, walk everywhere from there.

Review 8:Fortunately the daughter spoke Spanish and everyone was eager to accommodate me with any little request. I only stayed one night. But my room was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was down the hall but for just one night it was fine. The street was quiet yet only 4-5 blocks from shopping and even closer for good restaurants. The breakfast was full-on with eggs, canned fruit, several kinds of bread, juice, coffee, tea, jam and cold cereals and yogurt too!

Review 9:Nothing.

Review 10:Keana and Chris (the hosts) were always helpful. They provided instructions to get to dinner spots and helped me getting the computer hooked up to the Internet. Good hot water.

Review 11:This place is a dump, paint peeling off wall, threadbare carpet, curtains drooping and far too expensive for accomodation as sub standard as this. Would never stay there again.

Review 12:About 10 minute walk to town. Single room very, very small. Walls thin, could hear people at breakfast downstairs.

Review 13:Staff were young but helpful. Breakfast had some variety.

Review 14:The room was really small with no table to put our clothes or cosmetics. There were noisy clients and we did not know how to manage that.

Review 15:People were friendly and helpful. They manage to find someone who spoke English to help us. Breakfast was good.

Review 16:Rooms are very old and tired and the carpet smelled of damp. Despite the fact they clean the rooms daily the place just doesn't feel clean. To be honest we wouldn't stay here again.

Review 17:Newly refurbished bathroom and a short walk into town

Review 18:We checked in a day later than booked due to an accident we had a few days before. We told the owner this, but we were still charged for the night we missed.

Review 19:Comfortable rooms with heater. Decent breakfast.

Review 20:The wifi didn't work in our room so we had to go to the common room to access the internet. Rooms were cold but warmed up once the heaters were turned on.

Review 21:The staff was very friendly and helpful. Bed and rooms were clean.
