Reviews for The Fort Nashwaak Motel
Review 1:Not the fault of the motel, but the road closures and construction make it difficult to get to the motel. Had I been aware of this I would have booked on the city side of the river.
Review 2:Clean, comfortable, and good value for money.
Review 3:Everything in the room was OLD & not clean. The pillows were not clean & the pillow cases were too small for the pillow. The comforter was dirty. The room smelled mildew. The bathroom sink was not cleaned properly. There was a boil order on the water & we weren't told about it at registration. ( I was told by my friends the next day that there was a sign on the lobby door,)
Review 4:There was no sink in the bathroom and the taps dripped non stop. The blankets were very well worn and most importantly there was no hot water to shower with.
Review 5:The pub next door was amazing. Their food was so good we ate there alot.
Review 6:this was the best location to stay in Fredericton when looking for a cheaper alternative. the pedestrian walking bridge is minutes away to downtown. great restaurant with nice terrace and patio. fun crowd.
Review 7:The room had a very strong smell of cat pee which was very disgusting and the bed where very hard and one small pillow which I could live with but the smell of cat pee was just to much, they should not let anyone sleep in that room very very gross
Review 8:Was in a good location and bathroom was clean
Review 9:The inconsistency with the front desk staff... One day I can have a late check out at 3pm... But I decided to stay another day... Now today I wantsd a late check out and the front desk is sayin I have to be out at 1230.. I think this hotel should have half rates like others in the area.
Review 10:The rate of the room
Review 11:It was old, run down and smelled really bad. They make you pay up front (which I've never heard of) because I guess once you walk in to the room you may walk right out.The bathroom sink was in the bedroom so that's not convenient if you have more than one person in the room.
Review 12:The location on the river was nice and it had a pub attached to it.
Review 13:The hotel is going through a refurbishment but all in all a reasonably nice hotel. Minor tip though the main door is locked after midnight so do not forget your key as it has a main door key. Other than that it was clean, quiet and comfortable.
Review 14:I did not like the cleanliness of the room. There was hair in the tub & I found a thankfully dead, ear wig in my bed sheets. A large beetle crawled up from under the bed & over my friend.
Review 15:I liked the big room & that the 2 beds were divided by a wall. I was very grateful they staff kept a lost item for almost a week! That was great! Thank you!
Review 16:the bed was very hard
Review 17:You got what you paid for

Review 24:Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean and quiet room. Less than a five minute walk to see St. John river with a good view of Fredericton.

Review 38:It was not clear where the front desk was. I walked around the hotel andthe bricks on part of the hotel were falling down. The bathroom in theroom had not been cleaned - it was very dirty.
Review 39:The location was close to where I had to be.
Review 40:It's going to be filled later than more modern hotels downtown, on a busy weekend. I'm charmed by a fairly unimproved 1960's motel. The Cannon's Cross bar downstairs can get busy and noisy, but they're gone by one thirty or so. It's priced nearer the low end of Fredericton hotels, but I did not see one bug in 15 days' stay. The beds and towels were clean and the air con and the cable TV worked. Although it is on the North side of Fredericton, it is very handy the railway walking bridge. There is also fishing within walking distance from the hotel.
Review 41:They changed my double and gave me a single. I booked a double. Misunderstanding.
Review 42:They never bothered us!
Review 43:It was close to the walking trail that crosses into downtownFredericton. It was very convenient. Very friendly staff!
Review 44:continental breakfast promised free-was only coffee and doughnuts
Review 45:staff friendly-hotel clean
Review 46:booking on line wouldn't give me my CAA or Corporate rate
Review 47:It was very quiet and very clean. Staff was very friendly.
