Reviews for Norfolk Motel

Review 1:I can't say anything bad. The owner went out of his way for a late check in for us, so it was just wonderful!

Review 2:A great budget option for travelers passing through Fredericton. I've stayed here before, and they've rennovated many of the rooms.

Review 3:This place is a dive. There is no WiFi or coffee. The locks are ripped off the Door it stinks the beds are falling apart the ceiling fan had parts ripped off. We were there for 10 minutes asked for a refund the manager refused saying the our fear for our safety was not a valid reason so we left anyways. This was the worst stay at a motel I've ever had don't got to this place.

Review 4:Absolutely nothing.

Review 5:There was nothing at this hotel that was in the review. Very very run down. Glad we were only staying one night. Staff didn't even have our reservation, glad I brought mine with me.

Review 6:The other guests. There were two loud drunken parties at the motel and the staff didn't stop them. We weren't able to have a good sleep. Everything was old and ugly.

Review 7:The room was relatively clean.

Review 8:There was no wifi, or at least we were not told about it.

Review 9:We booked our room very last minute and the owner was kind enough to upgrade our room to 2 beds at no extra charge!

Review 10:- old furniture - locking system antiquated -no additional locks for security - quirky lights - some worked, some didn't - pink side chair had black arms from people dirt and perspiration - ugh!

Review 11:- easy access off highway - location by river & a lovely neighbourhood across the road in which to walk - small dog was free - laminate floors, no carpet - bathroom cleaned well

Review 12:We were travelling out East and needed a place to stop for the night. I picked this place because it was cheaper than most of the other places and on the way. I was surprised. The room looked freshly painted and the bed was very comfortable. The man at the desk was very friendly and spoke highly of the city. A great experience for both of us!

Review 13:We were obviously in the dodgy part of town, the room smelled of smoke, and the beds, although clean, were stained.

Review 14:excellent value for money, comfortable beds, free breakfast and very nice, accommodating staff

Review 15:The office staff was going to charge us more than we were guaranteed when booking until we showed our paperwork. The room was unpleasant - the rug smelled so bad we had to keep the window open, the ceiling fan was missing the lightbulb and the blades, the beds were propped up on 2x4s, the shower curtain only had half its (non-matching) hooks, and the only lights were a dim lamp in the corner and a makeup style light right under the TV, causing a glare that kept us from watching TV. We saw other rooms that were much nicer. We were surprised at the uneven quality. Booking a room here seems to be a roll of the dice.

Review 16:The location was convenient for our needs, it was easy to book online.

Review 17:Air conditioner did not work well and was noisy. All the confusion about the room on arrival. Too far from anywhere. No place to get food near by.

Review 18:Inexpensive. Just needed a place to sleep. Located in pretty location. Mirror taped to the bathroom wall still in the original box! Hilarious.

Review 19:No coffee maker. No hair dryer. No formal check-out.

Review 20:Room was clean (spotless), had electricity. We had been without power for 4 days needed a clean place to freshen up and feel like humans. Know people who have stayed there before and it is always clean. It's your basic 1960-1970 roadside motel with a few minor upgrades. Solid WIFI.

Review 57:Right off the highway. Affordable.

Review 58:The mattress wasn't especially comfortable, but for one night it was fine.

Review 59:Value was excellent. Room included fridge and microwave. It had a powerful shower and the room was very clean.

Review 60:I have no real negatives. Again, it was just as expected for the price.

Review 61:Proximity to UNB campus and downtown Fredericton. The room was certainly not fancy, but met my expectations for the price.

Review 62:If you want to get the best bang for your buck, this is the place, it's an older motel, but you could never tell. very clean, Great location, Will stay again

Review 63:The Indian hotel owner is a kind of weird and pathetic person. He made his own statement without even thinking what he is talking about. He gave me the room with no door lock in it and asked me to have drinking water from the bathroom tap. He has even kept some glasses over the head top to drink some water. I went to Fredericton in February and it was too snowy everywhere. My car was half submerged in snow the next morning and he didn't even pick up the call on reception. He told me the snow plowers will be after extra 10 inches of snow is there. It means I can't get my car out for having my breakfast. At last I and other Canadian guy who was staying next to my room have plowed the whole driveway to get our cars out. It was a lifetime worst experience for me and I would urge anyone not to go with the cheap price. Spend some extra money and book a nice hotel but not this one.

Review 64:no real complaints

Review 65:Staff was friendly and accommodating, the room was clean and adequate....good value for money. It was fine for a one night stop over.

Review 66:There was no breakfast which I had already found out by emailing theowner. You should change the description. No coffee machine andlousy lighting.

Review 69:good value for the money. plain but clean

Review 70:No towel changes, beds weren't made, small space with poor setupmissing light bulbs, man at office argued with my husband over thephone when he tried calling me.

Review 71:Room very cold, tv had no channel changer that worked, could not get onthe internet for atleast one hour. Pictures of motel on the internet donot reflecked for what your getting. Will never stay there again.
