Reviews for Hotel Best Western Finis Terrae
Review 1:We did not have a bad experience, however as we arrived late at night from Puerto Natales we found staff eager to leave than to help (within their working hours). I appreciate we all get tired, however if you are working in hospitality and you expect people to come to the end of the world, surely customer service must be top of the list
Review 2:The hotel was clean and close to the city centre
Review 3:Welcome drink was only available from restaurant on floor 6 when bar was on floor 1 and if you don't like Pisco Sour unlucky. Restaurant food is prepared on ground floor so long delays from ordering to eating even when we were there the restaurant was almost empty. Had to get a member of staff from reception to open the secured mini bar which even they thought was a strange practice. Very noisy part of town with current renovation work ongoing to river banks during day and noisy traffic from youngsters driving around into the early hours at night.
Review 4:Location and reasonable price
Review 5:Wonderful hotel to stay in Punta Arenas! Terrific location right in the downtown section, within easy walking distance of restaurants, museums and picturesque plazas. The hotel staff was very friendly and they even made us sandwiches to take along with us for an all day tour at no charge! The maids kept our room very clean and even folded all our discarded clothes each day. Wonderful stay!
Review 6:Service was not the Best Western standards expected as this hotel is independently owned and managed. Emailed them a few times to ask about airport transfer and there was no reply. Check in was slow and the staff who spoke better English for some reason did not help the other staff who was struggling to help us check in. It's an old building but was comfortable enough for us.
Review 7:Great location near a supermarket (which is behind the hotel), restaurants (which are a few blocks away) and the main square and promenade by the sea. Nice looking building.
Review 8:Very good breakfast. Long hours. Very early to pretty late. Fresh fruit. Good scrambled eggs. Toast with melted cheese ...... located very nicely in business district. Many good stores just nearby. Restaurants near buy. Food store just a few meters away. Friendly staff. Restaurant in 6th floor with excellent views. Good speed free wifi for whatsapp and emails.
Review 9:In the morning, for more than 2 hours, workmen banging and using extremely loud electronic tools next to my room. The hotel did nothing about it, nor offered a refund, just said "I'm sorry." If you pay nearly $100 for a room you should get peace and quiet or your money back! That would be called customer service.
Review 10:Location, spacious room, restaurant view..
Review 11:Stayed only one night and left early in the morning (no breakfast). The hotel was good standard for the price. Nothing outstanding but nothing negative.
Review 12:The price of the room is a little too expensive in comparison with other solutions.
Review 13:The position of the Hotel is very fine. The hotel structure is very fine with a comfortable room for reading and very good restaurant at the top of the hotel with a fine view of Punta Arenas.
Review 14:Room was excellent, lots of room, staff very helpful, good ventilation in rooms, also the facilities good. Only complaint would be some rooms the wifi is slow others good.
Review 15:It is a rather old hotel, which shows a bit. Rooms are on the smaller side. Wifi wasn't working well in the room, and dropped once the door was closed.
Review 16:I was able to check in a bit earlier which was extremely helpful. Staff at the reception and in general were nice and helpful. Warm cozy beds, hot shower and a good location. I liked it.
Review 17:There was no parking available except on the street, the first time we were there. We stayed in the same place 2 weeks later, this time they had a small parking lot next to the hotel.
Review 18:The location was right downtown very handy for walking, sightseeing, markets and restaurants.l
Review 19:I did not like the location. The credit card system did not work. Room was small. Heating unit was just on all the time.
Review 20:I liked the restaurant on the 6th floor for lunch and dinner. Maids were polite and REALLY helpful. Close to airport and only saw two other nicer hotels.
Review 21:We liked the location as the hotel was in the middle of town and close to everything including money exchange, shops, restaurants and tourist attractions. The hotel itself has a bar/restaurant downstairs where you can hang out and have a few cocktails. The restaurant upstairs is where breakfast is served and has a nice view of parts of the city.
Review 22:Food portions too big for us eg. Individual pizza enough for three of us. But personal view. Check before ordering too much food. As with a number of hotels blocked room card lock repeatedly during penultimate day. Hate this distrust and inconvenience.
Review 23:An excellent choice for staying in Punta Arenas, with pleasant friendly service. Very good breakfast.
Review 24:I was 3 hours late arriving but the staff where very helpful and ensured that I had a meal as soon as I had settled in. The view from the restaurant is amazing. The hotel is very close to the bus station so no need for taxi's
Review 25:staff was not helpfull, the shower drain was clogged and only two days after our numerous complaints they tried to unclog the drain which improved by one day and returned to clog. After that they simply ignored our complaints and neither offered to change Room. Breakfast was not good, lots of sweets e few salt food. You had to arrive till 10:30 am, but if you arrive at 09:30 am there were just what was left because they told us there were no fruits or cheese anymore, so we had to eat just a bread with butter. No fruits, yogurt, nothing... so they didn't have enough food for every guest!!
Review 26:internet, location and cleaning is good
Review 27:The fact that the noise from the working from the neighbors was permited until very late in the night...
Review 28:Especially the fact that all the facilitiaes where very close and the ideea with a restaurant on top is the best!
Review 29:unhelpful staff
Review 30:Good location, close to shops and the bus station. Comfy and clean.
Review 31:Hotel was extremely helpful and accommodating! They allowed my son to store his motorcycle there while we hiked in Torres Del Paine for 5 days
Review 32:Excellent Wifi Speed
Review 33:There is a bit of street noise but that's what you get downtown everywhere.
Review 34:Talking about opera with the breakfast staff.
Review 35:Staff attitude and usefulness was just horrible.
Review 36:Location is great. Breakfast is nice.
Review 37:Breakfast could be better given the high prices
Review 38:excellent location, very helpfull staff
Review 39:Quiet rooms; excellent views from the restaurant.
Review 40:Breakfast could use some work..
Review 41:Room and hotel was large and comfortable, friendly staff, spoke English, hotel close to main strip, great wifi
Review 42:Our double room was not roomy.
Review 43:Staff were friendly and helpful. Location very convenient.
Review 44:Free pisco was not one of the best I had in Cile
Review 45:conveniently close to bus station to Puerto Natales
Review 46:the wifi is so terrible and the minibar was locked in our room, small rooms
Review 47:quite expensive for local standards
Review 48:everything except the price
Review 49:Worn out tired looking feel to the hotel
Review 50:I would have appreciated an armchair in the room,,and shower lotion
Review 51:No boiler, no tea or coffee in room like many other BW hotels
Review 52:Parking lot in front of the hotel for the car
Review 53:we arrived at midnight and the staff were very nice and helpful.
Review 54:Noise from the restaurant on the 6th floor until 1am starting again 5:30am
Review 55:Clean
Review 56:There is no fridge in the room and no water too. The first day we have to buy water at the hotel bar: 500ml =1400pesos. Very expensive!
Review 57:The localization and the breakfast. The restaurant has a very nice view.
Review 58:It may be the best one in the area. Staffs spoke good English and werevery helpful. The lobby has many small compartments for various needs.Breakfast in the sky lounge was the best one in Chile.
Review 59:Wi-fi was very slow
Review 60:Good sized rooms. Breakfast was included in the room rate and was nice. Front desk spoke enough english for us to get by easily and gave good recommendation for walking tour and restaurant
Review 61:Punta Arenas did not have much to offer as far as sites or museums.
Review 62:Very comfortable layover out of Punta Arenas. Room was quaint and TV had multiple channels to enjoy. Room was clean and spacious. Dinner at hotel was very good.
Review 63:Access was a little difficult due to construction on Colon street, butthe hotel has no control over the construction.
Review 64:Conference room was good for meetings
Review 65:The advertised facilities were not available (comfortable lounge). This had been set up for a function and therefore could not be used. I also thought the envelope placed in the room with the maids name on it solicting a gratuity was not a good move.
Review 66:A comfortable hotel. My wife and I stayed there with two young grand daughters. We had two twin rooms and were very comfortable.
Review 67:The restaurant was light and airy and the staff willing. However, theycould not cope with the demand. Our buffet dinner was a scramble as thefood kept running out and you had to queue to be sure of getting things(this meant we had a permanent queue of people by our table, which wasnot relaxing at all). Breakfast was the same - in the 30 mins we werethere, no eggs appeared (they were always 'just coming'). Thecoffee kept running out and was replenished by a tiny jug - ok for asmall household but insufficient for a hotel at breakfast time. So:perhaps it was a holiday period rush (?), but based on our experience Iwould recommend to stay here, but eat elsewhere.
Review 68:Comfortable hotel, just a few minutes walk from the centre ofPunta Arenas.
Review 69:Great restaurant and staff
Review 70:Excellent location and helpful staff. Good breakfast and dependable wifi.
Review 71:No transport to airport which was claimed on website
Review 72:Nothing
Review 73:The hotel is very central to the most interesting points: beach shore, museum, best restaurants and stores.
Review 74:The location was excellent, near of atracctions, casino, market and so on. Breakfast included with a variety of foods and great quality.
Review 75:Slowest wifi ever, not acceptable for a Best Western hotel
Review 76:. no body came on time, and we had a very poor breakfast because we left early
Review 77:we came at 23:00, and the receptionist was very helpfull.
Review 78:The restaurant was pretty outdated.
Review 79:Good location, very good staff. The wi-fi was the best we had in this part of Chile.
Review 80:Price seemed a bit high.
Review 81:Location is good.
Review 82:Very friendly staff.
Review 83:Staff was helpful but could not communicate well in English. Room and bathroom was adequate.
Review 84:Location in center city was excellent.
Review 85:View from top restaurant, and the food was good.
Review 86:Nasty blankets on the beds. Outdated furniture and decor
Review 87:Location, bar and restaurant.
Review 88:Lack of electric jug in room.
Review 89:Comfable room Choices available at breakfast buffet View from breakfast room
