Reviews for Silver Hotel
Review 1:The window of the room #4 is opening on the corridor and if the neighbours of the room#5 are noisy late in the night, it can be a little bit tiring.
Review 2:The hotel is wonderfully located in the old part of Tbilisi in a neighbourhood with plenty of local colours and very close to everything. The staff was very sweet. The breakfast excellent.
Review 3:It was difficult to find the hotel by car, I suggest uploading a driving route.
Review 4:Super clean hotel, perfect location (very close to the Clock Tower), kind and helpful staff, very good breakfast, comfortable bed, nicely decorated room.
Review 5:The hotel is a little difficult to find as it is down a back street / lane but once you have found it once it is very easy to get back to Again due to it being down a lane it looks pretty bad from the outside but dont let this put you off as it is lovely inside.
Review 6:Fantastic little suite for the price Very friendly staff - was nice to come back to a glass of wine sitting in our room after being out all day Well located for exploring the city Would certainly use again if in the city Excellent value for money
Review 7:-The hotel it's very hard to find at the beginnning, especially for taxi drivers. After the first time it's simple. -We had a room that was virtually with no exterior window: it faced the corridor, which was partly exterior, but everyone could walk in front our window. I don't think the other rooms were this way. -The shower in the bathroom wasn't too confortable, since it was the central space of the bathroom itself.
Review 8:- The room was spacious and clean, with minibar and free water, The two twin beds were very big and confortable. -The staff was nice and very helpful. -The position it's central and quite. Don't be scared by the scketchy look of the streets outside!
Review 9:The room window looked onto a hallway, no natural light.
Review 10:Great location, mid-point between new and old city. When the water in the bathroom was shut off in the neighbourhood, they gave me a free breakfast to make up!
Review 11:- No elevator. This didn't bothered us. Hotel has only 2 floors. Just good to know.
Review 12:-That taxi adventure to the place was unforgettable. The driver asked directions with phone and from the street about 15 times and hit the wall of one building on a tight turn on narrow streets of this old town. We all, including the driver end up at the hotel with lols. Helps if you have the location in a map or GPS beforehand. - We had our wedding aniversary. And this super nice staff helped arranging a beatiful surprise to my wife. - The family room is very cosy. Feels like home, and even have a piano. Beds are good, big fridge, and the air conditioning works well. - Payment with cash only. Nice breakfast 10 Laris.
Review 13:Payment only in cash - not a tragedy but be prepared.
Review 14:Very kind and helpful staff. The rooms, incl bathrooms are nice and clean. Location: in center of Old Town.
Review 15:It was written that genious has 2 hours late check out, even though i confirmed through system, they knocked my door and want me to check out. I wanted to stay in the lobby to wait my friends, because my foot is broken(!!), they were unwillingly said ok, but extreme unfriendly behaviour. the room is absolutely overrated and overpriced, so small, i have stayed much better places for less price. Location is difficult to find and in the dark it is scary.
Review 16:It was clean.
Review 17:The hotel is in a very good location - the city center. The room was comfortable and clean. Service was friendly and timely. Although they do not accept credit cards, the ATM is right around the corner.
Review 18:No lift, Had to find because the hotel located inside old Tbilisi neighborhood. Only Cash Accepted.
Review 19:Central Location in Tbilisi, Quiet location, 24h front Desk. Wifi worked well.
Review 20:I could not carry my bag up the steps as quick as one of the women did.
Review 21:The staff, the staff, the staff. They were quick to respond to an unforeseen circumstance with patience and understanding. We could walk to all the sights we wanted to see.
Review 22:Nothing,if you want a clean and central place to stay for visiting Tbilisi it is highly recommended.
Review 23:very centraly located, close to everything by foot.good wifi, very clean room and homemade breakfast.More like a family hotel, staff was very helpful.Pick up from the airport very reliable and at a good price,is recommended.
Review 24:"No credit cards accepted" is something I really can't stand. One of the rooms had too tiny curtains, so the room was totally lit, sleeping was difficult (but the room in our second stay was ok). And breakfast starts at 9.00... in a city where EVERY tour starts at 8.30! We missed 3 breakfasts out of 4.
Review 25:Perfect location, in the center of old Tbilisi, a few steps from everything. Comfortable beds. Very good breakfast. Above all, the incredible georgian kindness: when they called a taxi for us, and it didn't arrive, although it was not their fault at all, the owner was so kind he took us with his personal car to our destination! Thank you again!
Review 26:the hotel is well placed towards the Kote Abkazi street, but almost none of the taxi drivers could find it. Once yoi have been there once, you could make your way easy, but the first time was tough
Review 27:great staff - really wonderful people (it is a family run hotel) Great Wifi very accommodating
Review 28:"No credit cards accepted" is something I really can't stand. The first room we slept in had too tiny curtains, so the room was totally lit, sleeping was difficult (but another room was ok). And breakfast starts at 9.00... in a city where EVERY tour starts at 8.30! We missed 3 breakfasts out of 4.
Review 29:Perfect for location, in the center of old Tbilisi, a few steps from everything. Comfortable beds. Very good breakfast. But above every problem, the incredible georgian kindness: when they called a taxi for us, and it didn't arrive, although it was not their fault at all, the owner was so kind he took us with his personal car to our destination!
Review 30:Bathroom was not attached to suite.
Review 31:Nice homely environment. Owner was very nice lady and always ready to help. Breakfast was nice and served in the suite. A good value for money
Review 32:We had the appartment (room no. 5) and air conditioner was only in one room - it was really difficult to sleep in the other one with +35 degrees outside
Review 33:Perfect location, great staff, fantastic breakfest
Review 34:The big room with two beds without a window looking outside is a bit suffocating. But the other rooms were good. The other thing which was a bit difficult for us was sleeping with the air-conditioning system on; but this was about the extremely hot weather, nothing to do with the hotel. A little suggestion: the cleanex-box on the wall of the bathroom of the front room with the balcony is too close to the closet that you cannot place yourself comfortably. It can be moved away a bit. And, the noise of the little refrigerator.
Review 35:The location of the hotel is excellent. It is very close to busy-noisy streets of commerce and leisure, but remains totally outside of the noise; it's extremely quiet, with modest people living around modest lives. Breakfast is excellent. They provide transportation from-and-to the airport.
Review 36:We had to cross hallway to get to our bathroom (this wasnt explained in the hotel description) There was no airconditioning in the main bedroom. The door to the room was broken and we found it nearly impossible to open from inside. This was very difficult when our children had to get up and go to the toilet during the night.
Review 37:location, breakfast and staff were very good, also the day trip they organised was excellent.
Review 38:The staff of hotel handily and friendly and deal with customer in respect and directly give you the rest directly. Not like other hotel not gave you rest then decline that you payed the fee and put you in big problem at airport. The room clean with clean bath
Review 39:الجدران خفيفة تستطيع سماع الجيران ويستطيعون سماعك بوضوح من خلالها. Staff dose not speak any English and not helpful at all but smiling only :) . No elevator. You can hear the people from other room and they do as well, the walls are thin.
Review 40:الموقع ممتاز وبجانبه مطعم حلال ولكن بدون مصعد في حال كان معك شخص لا يستطيع صعود الدرج عموما عو دور واحد فقط Location is perfect, breakfast is superb.
Review 41:The Hotel doesn't accept any credit cards and I didn't know about it.
Review 42:The breakfast is great! Could be served earlier though. I have never been in a hotel in which the breakfast starts at 9:00... They offer a transfer service and it was very good and convenient.
Review 43:Nothing, all was great
Review 44:Small and cozy family style hotel. Great and helpful staff speaking both English and Russian. Very tasty and plenty of breakfast. Wifi was good also in rooms, hotel location was great: on the quiet side street in the old town, majority of attractions available on foot.
Review 45:Good location near downtown. Clean rooms. Great breakfast
Review 46:A little bit thin walls
Review 47:Central location, gifts, the balcony overlooking a very quiet street.
Review 48:great location, nice and clean room and shower, very friendly staff
Review 49:for the suite the room and bathroom was quite small.
Review 50:Very nice rooms, good breakfast. The staff was very polite and helpfull. we had a great time.
Review 51:Great location and friendly staff
Review 52:The room had no external window. Only window onto a hallway.
Review 53:Good location in old town.
Review 54:Wifi continued to drop out throughout the stay.
Review 55:Very large and spacious.
Review 56:Was a bit noisy on occasion (other guests rather than the location).
Review 57:Good location, very helpful and friendly staff.
Review 58:Small bathroom, only cash is accepted
Review 59:Great location, nice staff
Review 60:It's difficult to find the address, it's in very narrow and small street.
Review 61:The location is good and you can reach many places walking...
Review 62:design of the shower 's wast water
Review 63:friendly staff
Review 64:Hospitality of place owner. Location close to interesting sites. Good breakfasts. Home Georgian atmosphere.
Review 65:We got in very late and they were very accommodating with a late checkout. Our stay was short but sweet, I highly recommend it!
Review 66:a little hard to find
Review 67:warm welcome, near to city center, cheap
Review 68:not open when you want to bring a guest.
Review 69:very friendly staff.
Review 70:We could hear noise from downstairs, that disturbed our sleep.
Review 71:Good location, clean room, very nice breakfast.
Review 72:Beds very uncomfortable, except in rooms 1&3. Slightly overpriced for the comfort.
Review 73:Clean, convenient location, very good breakfast, quiet.
Review 74:The shower cabin was a bit too small.
Review 75:Location, cleanliness, helpfulness.
Review 76:most friendly atmosphere, I've ever experienced in hotels
Review 77:no credit card accepted.
Review 78:The location is hard to find. Despite having printed off Google maps in advance, I still struggled to find it! Here's a way that might help: If you're heading up Kote Afkhazi towards Federation Sq, look out for the Silver Hotel sign pointing towards a lane on the right. It's about 100m before Fed sq, immediately before a bar / restaurant with a large "Billiard Bar" sign. Head down the lane (Vertskhi St) for about 150m, and the hotel is a short way up another lane on the right - you can see it from Vertskhi St.
Review 79:Friendly people, good breakfast, nice clean room, free wifi, I had a "suite" which had plenty of room
Review 80:It would be wrong to give any adverse comments, I enjoyed my stay so much. I suppose if anything I could only score the WiFi 8 out of 10.
Review 81:Everything was perfect, the staff were so helpful, very quiet location but only a few minuted walk from the centre of Tbilisi. Exceptionally clean and tidy and a breakfast to die for.
Review 82:Better don't take taksi - by feet 150 m from Liberty Sq, turn right on vine restaurant on Pushkin Str, 30 m and once more right
Review 83:Small comfortable pansion in the center. Exclusively frendly host - you feel yourself visiting home of your true friends and even if there are some disconviniences like small bathroom it means nothing - perfect atmosphere of true hospitality!
Review 84:It might be a little difficult to find (not the hotel's fault!) if you don't get picked up from the airport. Which we did.
Review 85:Fantastic location and very friendly staff. There is one English speaking member of staff, which made things much easier. The room was spacious and clean and a stone's throw from the bars and restaurants of the old town. The breakfast was simple (cheese, ham, bread, porridge, yoghurt, honey, omelette) and fresh and delicious. They went out of their way to arrange a tour for us, despite it being the Easter weekend. And the tour was excellent!
Review 86:The staff is very warm and friendly. They also arrange travel tours which makes it convenient for us. We also love their breakfast. Great value for money. Will definitely come back to this hotel.
Review 87:As said before, neighbourhood is not nice (yet), but it was not a problem. Use main street, which is 50 m from hotel. Maybe they could serve excellent georgian bread at breakfast instead of toast?
Review 88:Location perfect. Safe and clean little hotel, or kind of B&B, with excellent service. Breakfast good. Highly recommended.
Review 89:Wallpaper in downstairs room
Review 90:Hospitality Hearty breakfast Felt at home and comfortable Great decor in upstairs room Very near the old town and Liberty Square
Review 91:Room, very little and without a proper bath shower.
Review 92:Well, hard to say. Perhaps the location. Honestly, we had to leave early in the morning so we had no breakfast. The young lady could have been a little bit more welcoming explaining something about Tbilisi and advising places where to have dinner
Review 93:Very difficult to find, especially with change in street names.
Review 94:Great location right in Tbilisi's Old Town close to Rustaveli and most sites and museum. Lovely old townhome is very clean and comfortable. Excellent hot breakfast. Helpful staff.
Review 95:I stayed 2 nights, the first one was very good in a room upstairs, the second bad one because there is room downstairs with bad matras and to close to the street.
Review 96:Very good situation near restaurants and in the city center.
Review 97:The charming hosts, tactful and warm! We have received all necessary information, advices and assistance. The hotel serves a delicious home-cooked breakfast, it is located in the center of the old city and close to the subway. Staying in the hotel left the warmest feelings. Going to go back to Georgia and will choose the same hotel obligatory
Review 98:No parking space, only cash payment
Review 99:Located at the old city centre, friendly staff. Cosy bed and good breakfast. After check out is possible to leave bags at hotel and order transport from/to airport.
Review 100:The window of our room (standard) opened on a corridor, not outside. This was not indicated in the room description on Booking.com. After complaining we were kindly given a better room with no extra charge. Wifi didn't work in the room. We believe that this hotel is overpriced.
Review 101:Very good location. Nice breakfast.
Review 102:Excellently located in the old town, within walking distance of many restaurants. Nakashidzeebi Street (former Avlevi Street) is a narrow side street of a side street of K. Abkhazi Street (the winding one-way street leading up from Gorgasalis Moedani to Tavisuplebus Moedani (Freedom Square). Remember that many taxi drivers do not know this street (and many other streets of Tbilisi). If you don’t have the pickup-service of the hotel, this driving direction could be useful. Despite the fact that our room had only one window in the hallway, we still found it a beautiful, functional and very clean room. The bathroom was rather small but well furnished. A decent breakfast and the excellent help of the lady of the hotel made for a pleasant stay. She didn’t speak English but for all of our questions she immediately called someone else (her daughter I assume) who spoke perfect English and so everything was arranged in every detail. Hereby I like to thank this lady for all her help when my friend had to go to the hospital (after a fall from a staircase in a poorly lit part of a street at night).
Review 103:my wife and i stayed for 4 nights in silver hotel , location is in old tblisi the best in town 2 min walk away of the 2 hottest streets "sheridan street" and rustaveli and 5 min to Shangri la casino. the owner Mrs Cathy is such sweet lady but make sure to meet the king of Georgia :) Dudu he is your guy over there. in general georgia is definitely the place you want to go to ....
Review 104:- Comfort and cleanliness of a big hotel - Amazing hospitality of a family run homestay - Right in the middle of the most beautiful part of Tbilisi - Very quiet cause in a small street - Definitely the best Price/Quality of Tbilisi
Review 105:the address should be given batter than it is. I found it with great difficulty at the first day, although having found it, it was straightforward. I would have liked a safe box.
Review 106:the very friendly staff. I was very kindly treated by the owner (who didnt speak english) and the staff. they made feel very much at home. it was close to all of the places I wanted to see in the city. the room was clean and cosy. although most of the staff didnt speak english... we made do. I will definitely stay here if I come to tbilisi again.
Review 107:Not in the nicest part of town but short walk to main old town. Not that it's unsafe but just rundown/old/dirty.
Review 108:Of the three places I stayed in Tbilisi, this hotel was by far the nicest and cleanest. Good Wifi, cold A/C. Staff (Gorgor) was really helpful. I had a balcony with a view...
Review 109:Breakfest probably could be more diverse.
Review 110:Hotel is situated in the heart of the old city, walking distance from all major attraction and a lot of nice restaurants. Very friendly stuff, rooms are clean and bright. Fresh bed sheets and towels everyday.
Review 111:There are so many good things about the Silver Hotel...its location; its modest size and stylish décor; warm and friendly staff. I would definitely stay here again!
Review 112:Of course the room is not very big and the bathroom is not the mostconvenient but this is largely offset by the hospitality of the verynice ladies operating this guest house.
Review 113:Very friendly guest house. It is indeed a guest house rather than ahotel, where you do feel a welcome guest. Outstanding Georgianhospitality. Good value for money. I'll come back.
Review 114:Very central and good hotel, everything is near. Very good breakfast, clean rooms, friendly staff. I recomend this hotel. Very good value for your money.
Review 115:lack of shower stall makes water run on al toilet floor (not bid deal) there is only one english speaker amongst staff, it gets challenging to arrange stuff/get advice /directions when she is not there
Review 116:Excellent location 5-10min walk to most major attractions trustworthy friendly family running the hotel Very clean
Review 117:So hospitable staff, so big and tasty breakfast, so comfortable room, so friendly price:) we've made a right choise! Highly recommend this excellent hotel!
Review 118:I can only recommend to stay in this small charming family-run hotel. We arrived early morning at around 6am and were able to already get into the room without extra charge. There is a pick up offered by the hotel, which is almost same priced as a normal taxi. As taxi drivers might not know the location of the hotel it might be advisable to have pick up service. We used the driver several time and were happy with the service provided. The owner of the hotel does not speak any English (but Georgian and Russian). But we managed to communicate and had big laughs. Her daughter however speaks good English. On the day of our departure we have been provided with some small breakfast-to-go since we had to leave very early morning. Big plus.
Review 119:The ONLY criticism is the shower/toilet combination. They're both together in the same small aea and when the shower is used the water is all over the floor making the use of the toilet unpleasant. Why not build a simple concrete "lip" (water barrier) to prevent the water from the shower from flodding the whole toilet area?
Review 120:The staff were amazing! Mariaka and her mother (I think) were excellent hosts. They allowed us a very early check-in for us to rest as we had an early inbound flight. The location can not be beaten. The breakfast is some of thebest we've had! Their local knowledge is extremely helpful when you're planning day trips outside of Tbilisi. We enjoyed our stay thoroughly at Silver Hotel and we recommend it to everyone.
Review 121:As a home stay it could be a little cheaper (it's not a hotel). Minor: internet connection doesn't work well; a bit noisy inside and outside the house.
Review 122:nice family run accommodation with only 4 rooms - very cozy. Helpful staff! Close proximity to the center - just around the corner. You can reach all main attractions within a few minutes by walk. The Lady is very helpful (but doesn't speak English). If you know some Russian you can easily get along. Otherwise speak to her daughter (not always around) who speaks fluently English and is also really nice and willing to help. As we were checking out at 5am already, the Lady didn't hesitate to prepare a little breakfast package for us, absolutely lovely! Would definitely stay there again and Tbilisi is surely worth a visit anyways! Thanks!
Review 123:Lovely small family-run hotel in the centre of the old town Tbilisi. Wehad a nice room including a balcony with blossoming flowers. Staff veryhelpful. Airport transfer 30 gel which is absolutely worth it (as SilverHotel can be difficult to find) especially if arriving during the night.Breakfast was good. All interesting sights within Tbilisi are withinwalking distance.
Review 124:nothing
Review 125:very attentive and friendly host - you feel like a guest not like a client; location can't be more central; clean, cosy rooms, nice breakfast; amazing thing for this money!
Review 126:The staff is fantastic Location, don’t let the area deceive you, the old city is all like this but the hotel is very nice, clean, comfortable, best value for money Good breakfast From all hotels we stayed in Georgia this was the best I recommend it very much – people are very nice and generous – we arrived at 05:00 in the morning and since they had the room available they gave it to us with NO CHARGE!! As a travel agent – I know what is good – and this is GOOD
Review 127:Located in the heart of an old-times-built Tbilisi with a truly unique spirit. A family-run hotel, it feels like you are hosted by a Georgian relatives who haven't seen you for ages. Home made breakfast, relaxed atmosphere, neighbouring narrow streets all make you live through unforgettable moments, completely different experience.
