Completely renovated in April, 2013, Colorado Hotel is in a central, yet quiet location in the center of Lugano, a 5-minute walk from the promenade on Lake Lugano and around the corner from the LAC Cultural Centre. Free Wi-Fi is available.

Review 1：We booked a room with an extra bed for our daughter. The main bed was two detached single beds; a complete double bed would be more comfortable for a couple.

Review 2：The attendant seemed friendly.

Review 3：- trying to use provided tea maker invariably made fuses bounce. According to the hotel staff, it was happening only in our room. - the hotel wifi was not working most of the time i.e. you could connect to it, but you got no internet transfer. - I left the "do not enter" label on the door handle and left the room expecting no one will enter. The label was removed, and the room cleaned. This is not what I expect when I post "do not enter".

Review 10：We arrived to a very friendly greeting and were especially pleased that they have a huge room/café/bar at the front to store our bikes (the manager is the distributor for road-bikes). Didn't even bat an eyelid when we kept bringing them back dusty after some great days onthe trails around Lugano...

Review 11：The hotel is poorly decorated. It has a strong unpleasant odor in the halls. Although the rooms are renovated it lacks any kind of style, they almost look like hospital rooms.

Review 13：The Single room I booked was the smallest room I ve ever seen in my life with a tiny single bed.111 chf?? To much for no quality.Above the main street too much noise. Old windows not aluminium to reduce noise.

Review 15：The room was a bit small. A part from a small wardrobe, there aren't other furniture, such as a chest of drawers or a shelf which would be useful to arrange stuff in the room.

Review 16：The location is near to the central station. So it was convenient for me to catch the shuttle bus from Lugano to Milano airport. Just next to the Hotel there is a bus stop to reach the city center. On sunny days one can also easily walk to the city center, 10-15 minutes on foot from the Hotel. Personnel is nice, gentle and professional. Cleaning service is OK. Breakfast is very good. The hotel has a breakfast lounge with a a terrace- which could be very nice on sunny days

Review 18：i have booked for 3 nights and i have to leave for emergency on the second day. Recrptionist insist to charge me for three nights and shouted unpolitely without considering me as a lady guest in front of people beside other bad reactions and comments. i have been trying to reach him but the line was busy for 2 hours. i have to pay and check out due to the emergency case i had.

Review 54：1-Booked 1 Double bed, instead gave too single beds 2- Light from the bathroom was not working properly, looks like I was into a club. 3- The machine for warming up the water for the tea had a different electric cable and was not prepared to work in Switzerland, was bought in Italy, that was quite stupid, there was no spoon for the tea as well. Asked in the morning for a iron and iron board, They brought me a iron but said there was no board....funny. simple terrible hotel.

Review 55：The room had a strange smell of some plastic or some chemical thing, so we needed to open windows a lot, otherwise everything was as expected.

Review 56：The location is fantastic, only 200 m from the lake. The wifi is working perfectly, breakfast has huge selection and for every taste. The hotel is quiet and rooms are lovely decorated, everything was working, no problems with any gadget. We loved free parking spot, superb for Lugano! From the hotel, easy access to the city centre also by foot (20min). Will come back again. :)

The waiter in the restaurant is so nice, giving suggestions to food and helped me to choose vegetarian food. Staff in the hotel are great! Thanks a lot to them! The room is good, with reasonable facilities. The view is nice. If there is no construction going on next door, blocking the view to the lake and mountains, it would be even better.
