Reviews for Village Suites – Blue Mountain Resort

Review 1:The shower leaked so that made a big water mess Also the pillows are very uncomfortable

Review 2:The staff were more than willing to help with anything we needed

Review 3:It was raining while we were there which turned the parking lot into one large ice rink and most walking paths around the Village into large puddles. There were a number of areas that were so flooded that we had to walk BESIDE the paths or stairs, which was dangerous and uncomfortable.

Review 4:Loved our hotel room in Weider Lodge. High ceilings and walk out patio made it feel quite large. Being right at the foot of the mountain was really cool too!

Review 5:I left a note prior to booking the resort that we will be spending a weekend to celebrate my friend's birthday. I was expecting something like a letter or a wine or a cake, but didn't see anything at all. First night in the resort, there's a no free wifi which is a basic complimentary comparing to the price of the room. Also, the ice pitcher has a hole in it. 2nd day, we left a note to clean the room - Thank you for cleaning the queen bed and not the sofa bed. I included prior to booking the room that there will be four people who will be staying. Really disappointed, would not recommend it for future.

Review 6:I like that the location is near the hills.

Review 7:The place is sooooo expensive, the room was very good, but is not a 270 CAD, never, this price minimum included breakfast, but our rate was only room, and not late check out. The carpet in the halls look dirty, and at the reception there was a box of Kleenex dusty, is incredible how anyone clean it.

Review 8:The location is amazing, this place is beautiful, and the room was very nice, Susan, the laddie at the front desk she was so good, and very helpful, this place is incredible, is beautiful

Review 9:Most of all, the beds were not comfortable and we didn't have good sleeps. The main bed was small and saggy. Both the pull out couch and the cot for our young child that cost $20 had springs sticking out of them. Also our neighbours were a bit noisy but not terrible. The hotel took care of it. The elevator and the room were a bit dated and shabby but also not terrible. The view was nice.

Review 10:We liked the location right by the mountain. Tommie in front reception was fabulous, so helpful and genuine. We liked the size of our room, having a separate bedroom for our young child. We loved the ski school at the mountain.

Review 11:Room is of good size but very plain. Room decor reminded me good old USSR. TV is very small for a size of a room - something like 30".

Review 12:Location, excellent customer service

Review 13:Checking in. Directions to register at the grand Georgine was not stipulated and caused a bit of a hiccup.

Review 14:The ambiance and vibe of the village. The free wagon ride was a nice touch. Outdoor hot tub and pool is always a great delighter. View of the fireworks right from our balcony was an ideal bonus

Review 15:Nothing much to say here. If anything, the "high-quality" wifi was intermittent.

Review 16:The staff were really nice. One person from the Blue Mountain Inn went above and beyond and helped me although she had already finished her shift.

Review 17:Nothing

Review 18:I loved the 1 bedroom suite equipped with absolutely everything. Such a comfortable cozy place we completely enjoyed the suite we did not want to leave. Will be booking a week end getaway very soon and staying at th The Grand Georgian!!

Review 19:We got put into the wrong room to begin, it was a bit pricey for there being no snow to ski

Review 20:We got switched to our correct room immediately, beds were comfy, spacious rooms

Review 21:Difficult to moderate room temperature (too hot), and in-room wifi should be complimentary for this price point.

Review 22:Very clean, well decorated rooms. Close to everything you need.

Review 23:hordes of loud children running unsupervised in the hallways, trying a few times to enter our suite; the fact that I could not enjoy the hot tub- a group of about 20-30 children and teenagers occupying both hot tubs the whole evening (2-3 hours); our suite was located right above the hot tub area and our night was ruined by excessive noise and unacceptable behaviour( screaming, swearing, snowball fights, polluting the tubs with snow mixed with mud, etc)

Review 24:the location, the free upgrades we received (from 1 bedroom to 2 bedroom, free underground parking), the cleanliness, the fully equipped kitchen

Review 25:The room was extremely hot and the cooling system didn't work. Had to open the windows, but thankfully it's been a warm December.

Review 26:Location was perfect!!! Had a beautiful view of the mountains. The staff was very friendly and the room was way more then we expected.

Review 27:One little complaint only, not sure when rooms are cleaned, our room was never cleaned, we left the sign on the door.

Review 28:Location was great, staff were so friendly. Will be booking at this same hotel in July for 3 nights.

Review 29:The cost is a little high at times. Had to purchase a room that was more expensive than would have liked to pay, but in order to beat the 2-night minimum stay, I had to take this room to get a 1-night stay. Also, been going there for years and resent paying the additional $15 parking fee for underground.

Review 30:Fantastic property and view. Been there many times. Always enjoy it.

Review 31:We were booked for 2 nights. The first night a boys' hockey team ran wild. Unfortunately, our room was directly above the hot tubs where all the action took place. Even with our doors closed the yelling could be heard. We couldn't even consider using hottub as the boys completely took over this area. Lots of screaming and yelling till late. Spoiled what was to be a quiet, relaxing evening.

Review 32:Location, location, location!

Review 33:entrance and halls and suite should be modernized, old and dark. Plus I got charged for one room again? not sure if I will be booking through booking.com again.

Review 34:Location

Review 35:Staff needs to b more friendly n smile more. For the amount of money u pay, u shouldnt have to pay for indoor parking too.

Review 36:Room was clean n very confortable.

Review 37:lack of physical employee personnel at the hotel

Review 38:The facilities were excellent especially with the deal we got with booking.com. The views and surrounding areas were beautiful in the fall.

Review 39:Bed was too small! A little overpriced I have been coming to BM for the past 6 years for Thanks Giving and I would hope to get a curtesy discount next time :) Thanks!

Review 40:The price to stay doesnt leave room to enjoy other costly activities. To enjoy everything would be equivilent to an all inclusive vacation somewhere hot.

Review 41:We like the village and the atmosphere.

Review 42:We never stayed in Blue Mountain Resort and a friend recommended Village Suites. Our room was right above the Village Entrance and we were awakened several time through the night because of people leaving to go to the parking lot.

Review 43:Rooms were clean and nice!

Review 44:A bit noisy with late night music.

Review 45:Location was amazing. Loved the fireplace and although we didn't use the kitchen it was nicely stocked and clean. Outdoor hot tub was wonderful too.

Review 46:You could not have done anything more to have made our stay any better. We were there to celebrate my husbands 75th birthday and it was just the best. We so much appreciated what your staff did to accommodate us, we had a wonderful room, a great view and in general a overwhelming time because of the warm spirit of each staff member we dealt with. Thank you for everything, a great memory for us both.

Review 47:The stores are expensive but fun to look through.

Review 48:Love being in the village. Walking distance to all the restaurants and stores. The mountain is right there for fun activities as well.

Review 49:lots of items that were broken , such as shower escution falling of towel rack half falling off, found old food that was not ours in the fridge so this questions the cleaning of the rest of the hotel. the fridge compresssor i think is off it mounts because it does a clunk when it cycles off. Delete the channels that are not working or snowy, Hot tub Marbalite was falling off. Just a number of maintenance issues

Review 50:Location was great, room was large enough for my family, kitchen was great.

Review 51:Staff didn't cooperate in accommodating kids as they gave us room with queen be mad sofa bed where as in pic it was 2 single bed. Room was on the ground floor So there is no view from our room Windows.

Review 52:Resort or village itself is beautiful place and uts our 3rd visit in 3 years. Amazing place little expensive when you compare rides and other activities here.

Review 53:The mattress was the worst that we ever slept on. Sinks into the middle of the bed. So happy I only booked two nights. So happy to be back home and a real comfortable bed.

Review 54:Location was great. And although you could hear music from the restaurant outside it didn't effect sleeping. Room was well equipped and very cosy.

Review 55:There was no proper assistance for help, no picks the customer care line and assist us. There were doors closing issue with bath room and it was very expensive too. AC was very noisy and could not slee easily.

Review 56:I liked the online reservation service and space inside the apartment/condo.

Review 57:I don't know if there was a special event going on or what but itwas a little loud until well into the night.

Review 58:On check in we were upgraded to a suite!! Omg my mother was with us fromout west and what a sweet surprise for her and tons of brownie pointsfor me!!!!!

Review 59:We booked online "village suites, Blue Mountain" and it didn't mention anywhere that the hotel was actually called Seasons hotel. Due to this, it took us a while to locate the place. Our room overlooked the pool and so it was a little noisy, but it wasn't a big deal as it was expected since we were in the middle of the village.

Review 60:Great location. The room was clean.

Review 61:Gym

Review 62:We really enjoyed the stay.. Staff was nice. Facilities were nice.. Gym was a slight disappointment... But spent a lot of time in pill and jacuzzi..

Review 63:The bed was smaller than we thought. Not sure it was even a Queen Size. Bed room was small too.

Review 64:We wanted to rent a movie and watch it in the bed room. It wouldn't work so they sent up two guys. They arrived right away and got it working quickly!

Review 65:The toilet in our room ran all night (on and off) for some reason. It was a little distracting.

Review 66:Loved the room and the full kitchen. It was nice to cook my own breakfast in the morning. All staff were very helpful and friendly.

Review 67:The air in the room was far too dry. I was awake most of the night because I was uncomfortable with the lack of humidity. At one point, I moistened a face cloth and placed it over my face in order to try to breathe in some moist air. The rooms definitely need a humidifier!

Review 68:The Location was great!

Review 69:With my online booking I did not identify which lodge were booked at so I didn't have the opportunity to search what was to offer. Also, I found it very irritating and waste of our time when we checked in at the main check in desk and then were told to go to another check in location. Then when did check in at the Weider Lodge no one informed us of what amenities offered at the Weider Lodge. Thus we did not have a full experience during our stay.

Review 70:Our room was very nice.

Review 71:Far too expensive for what you get - food and accommodations. Pool at resort was too warm for the humid day time temperatures. Staff were not overly friendly or helpful. Private beach was not the greatest..

Review 72:Location, view of mountains

Review 73:Had to call 5 times to get the room refreshed. Thermostat doesn't work properly Hotel is very outdated. Stuck in the 80/90's.

Review 74:Mattress was good

Review 75:The TV remote for the bedroom didn't work too well, and I wish the A/C unit didn't blast air quite so high (and auto feature at a low or medium fan speed would be ideal in such a small space).

Review 76:Very spacious one-bedroom suite and the kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need (except food, of course). Nice flat screen TVs and comfortable bed.

Review 77:Save yourself on time and stress and use the stairs. The elevators are always packed and so so slooow.

Review 78:The location is great, right on the village. It was cleaned and comfortable.

Review 79:Parking facility. Overnight parking was a 10 min walk away- or 15 dollars per night. not ideal with lots of kids stuff. Should be included in price of room.

Review 80:Pool was overcrowded with kids. Wasn't an ideal hotel for a young group of friends as the families took over the pool area. No option for late check out.

Review 81:The location was good. The bed was comfortable. Staff was friendly.

Review 82:Did not feel should pay for Wifi. So didn't. Was not aware of breakfast? Did we miss out on something complimentary?

Review 83:Location. Room was comfortable. Walked to many great restaurants.

Review 84:Letting the guests know if their special requests have been confirmed - which gives peace of mind to guests.

Review 85:Easy check in and check out. The housing staff was very helpful.

Review 86:Let's face it everyone travels with their phone or lap top. So paying for wi-fi now a days is very rare.

Review 87:We traveled to the resort and usually stay further down the road and decided to stay right at the village which was amazing. We did have an issue wh our room booking. They had us in for one night and it should have been 2. They called the and fixed it within minutes. The staff were very helpful.

Review 88:I forgot a bunch of clothes in the closet lol.... They were found and sent back to me...thank goodness

Review 89:All the activities that we're going on, restaurants were awesome too!

Review 90:The location of our room, they said they give is a room facing the pool, and we had big trees, we couldn't see a thing, the washroom stunk like pee for some reason.... That was our second visit to gran Georgian, the first time the room was amazing! Way bigger, beautiful view and pretty clean, second time around, I didn't like it as much, room way smaller, same price we paid the first time. But over all enjoyed the stay.

Review 91:Like the location of the village, staff were real nice.

Review 92:This room needs a facelift! Sofabed mattress was old and saggy - way overdue for replacement. TV was not set for HD. Bathroom lighting was so cold it was frightening to look in the mirror. Fixture damaged. Hallways were FREEZING! No balcony.

Review 93:Queen bed was comfortable, quiet room

Review 94:Air-conditioning didn't work well. Very noisy during night. WiFi is very slow so we couldn't really use it even though we payed for it.

Review 95:The location is great. Room is nice and big.

Review 96:I found with the cost of hotel you shouldn't be charged for parking, wifi or a cot. there should be some kind of discounted package you can purchase for the activities. Being a family of 4 we spent $54.00 on each activity and that was with a discount for staying at the hotel.

Review 97:Loved the location our balcony faced the mountains and was right in the village.

Review 98:Shocking that you had to pay for wifi I stayed at 8 different hotels on Ma road trip ranging from $50 a nite to $300 a nite a this was the only place I had to pay for the wifi. And it was a poor signal. Very disappointed.

Review 99:I loved the fact everything you wanted was right there.

Review 100:The room was outdated but clean. The suites need renovation, specially the bathrooms.

Review 101:I really like the location of the suites, and they upgraded us to a two bedroom suites which was absolutely wonderful. It was conveniently located in the middle of the village close to all the restaurants and entertainments.

Review 102:The air conditioning did not work well-the room was very warm Our reservation was for a king bed and we were given a queen with no option We requested overlooking the pool or the stage but could see neither from our room

Review 103:Activities The entertainment

Review 104:The front desk staff in the phone should be a little more polite when being asked for directions to the hotel as bookings.com gives the wrong address number of the actual hotel. As well when asking for late check out the hotel should contact the guest to let them know if they can accommodate them rather then the guest having to call them to find out it was not possible. The beds are very nice looking but extremely uncomfortable as both my husband and I had sore everything after a nights sleep. And last but not least the ac did not work properly in the room as the temp was set to be 65 and the temp never went below 76 which is not comfortable for sleeping. Also about the village I wish there was more to do there other then shop and eat. If your not one for all the hill top adventures it can be pretty boring without outside trips planed.

Review 105:The cleaning staff was very prompt when told of the dirty towels left in washroom. as well as when asked for extra tea in the room.

Review 106:Elevators extremely slow; so for anyone who chose the stairs-as we did, they are not very accessible, long way around.

Review 107:The view over the Courtyard/pubs restaurants was perfect. Pool area was good

Review 108:The cleaning could be better. Found hairs in bathroom.

Review 109:The views from windows and large balcony. The 2 bedroom apartment was spacious. Liked having 2 bathrooms.

Review 110:No free WiFi anywhere, Pool temperature was too warm for the summer months. Some of the restaurants had terrible service considering the prices being paid. Thankfully we found other ones to be excellent.

Review 111:Lots of restaurants to choose from. And lots of activities to do right at the resort. Outdoor movie night was great for people of all ages.

Review 112:I didn't have any negative experiences, I enjoyed everything!

Review 113:Upon arrival we asked for a room with a better view and front desk switched our room without any problems. When we got upstairs the room that they had switched us to hadn't been clean yet. I called down to the front desk and they switched our room immediately and gave us a bottle of wine and a card with chocolates, which was very nice. I loved all the various activities and the variety of shops and restaurants, never a dull moment. The staff was also very friendly and helpful. I really enjoyed myself, Blue Mountain will definitely see me again.

Review 114:We had a very bad incident. My wife forgot her pair of jeans behind he door in the washroom. We called he hotel same day but they couldn't find it. We kept on following up with them but they couldn't find it. We have highlighted that the cleaners were having backpacks which is not right and we suspect that the cleaners took it but they never did any effort to check. It is an expensive jeans that is more expensive than the whole stay there.

Review 115:Location.

Review 116:The pool was overpopulated and very very hot. Not refreshing at all. Very disappointed. Put a damper on our weekend.

Review 117:Great room quality and cleanliness

Review 118:Horrible infotainment system (didn't work hard the time), very outdated washroom despite a recent renovation, clogged washroom sink and poor shower. Also value for money wasn't great in the peak summer season.

Review 119:Location, cleanliness and overall comfort.

Review 120:It's an old hotel. And I was really disappointed with the location of the room they gave us.

Review 121:The location is great. But a bit noisy at night they have this mini concerts during summer time and you can hear it a little bit. So if you don't like that then keep looking.

Review 122:Wifi was not reliable at all in the room even if we paid for it still didn't get a signal. We both had to work on this vacation so having to go down to the lounge to do any work became laborious (one of the elevators was out and the stairs spit you outside). Also very poor choice of TV channels.

Review 123:Stayed in a 1 bedroom apt. Awesome location right in the village, tons to do. Bed was comfy and apartment was clean and cozy.

Review 124:This was the most amazing trip I had! Friendly staff, amazing room, we received complimentary parking and everything was so much fun. My boyfriend and I had an amazing anniversary.

Review 125:Our room was a bit outdated and after requesting a mountain or village view, unfortunately received a room with a screen door that opened up to a giant tree and view of another building's air conditioner. The kitchenette was "okay" but only had a microwave for cooking food. The building itself was not as nice as the others on the property (you learn which building you will be staying at upon hotel check-in).

Review 126:Friendly staff, infrared sauna, gym and pool on site

Review 127:Pool only open until dusk. Phone wifi was free, but devices were not . Minor maintenance issues, such as toaster not working , drain mildly clogging and door not latching .

Review 128:Convenient , room was great . Kitchen had everything . Big hot tub . Free parking.

Review 129:Room had loud noisy air conditioner and we could hear people next door. The restaurants were not very clean. The pool area did not have enough chairs and we just too small.

Review 130:the room was nice and comfortable. Staff in hotel were great. Room was clean. The food was great. We love being able to stay at one place to Eat, Drink, and play.

Review 131:There was no breakfast and line in the breakfast restaurant was too long. Also we did not have a chance to ride on Ridge Rider again because of the waiting time for 2 hours. We were staying for 2 nights only and did not want spent time in lines. At the end we resold our tickets.

Review 132:Our room was big and comfortable. It had a small kitchen and we saved some money cooking ourselves. In general the village had a lot of places to visit and bunch of activities. Most of all we liked segway tour.

Review 133:Did not like the idea that you could not sit by 5he pool with a glass of wine or other alcohol beverage and relax Also bed so close to he cabinets in the rm made it very inconvenient to use the counter sink space...why not switch couch to that side instead. The view from the rm way too obstructed by the trees facing pool area

Review 134:I'm sure it is more appreciated if you are staying with family/kids...just a little over populated for us.

Review 135:The lady at the front desk didn't show us how to get to our hotel. We spent a whole hour driving and walking to look for the entrance and finally went back to ask her.

Review 136:The room is clean. The bed is comfortable. Kitchen has all utensils we need.

Review 137:A number of the lights and outlets didn't work. We did have a view of the village on the second floor and therefore it was noisy. The kitchenette in the studio was smaller as it didn't have a stove. The stove would have been helpful to make breakfast.

Review 138:The location was convenient as we were close to the activities. But we did really enjoy the activities which is why we did come to blue mountain.

Review 139:The bed was uncomfortable. The parking situation is bizarre( must pay for underground) Free parking involves moving car to another lot before 2am or you will be ticketed. Underground parking very full.

Review 140:Location and friendly staff

Review 141:The signage for checking in was non existent. We drove around for 20 minutes then had to finally ask where we had to go.

Review 142:The room was really comfortable and the view was amazing. The staff was really helpful

Review 143:Two elevators were broken down during my stay. This was frustrating. Outside parking was changed with little notice to guests booked directing us to a parking lot farther away from the facility. Closer parking is now for day visitors.
