Reviews for Nessebar Royal Palace

Review 1:breacfast could be better. Beach is not so clean.

Review 2:Is located in a good place, in the center of the old, old sity. The sea is very culm and not so far. water in the sea was very warm and clean. all around the night no noise, no car driving on the strit. was the sensation that we where slip in the roamnian period. Staff are veri polite, expecialy Tanya.

Review 3:To get to the hotel by car you need to pass through a barrier for which a pass is required. To obtain this you have to check in first! We wasted almost an hour locating the hotel on foot to check in. Then we were told that there were no parking spaces but managed to squeeze the car in eventually.Better instructions needed.

Review 4:The location was good and the restaurant served a good range of food, although they were out of chicken! The room was comfy, spacious and clean with a good shower room. Breakfast was fine.

Review 5:The restaurant staff were a group of guys who worked well together to meet our wants. The were very polite and nice with our kids. Plus, the food was great! My balcony was ten meters from a church built in the tenth century. Very nice.

Review 6:No lift. No staff to even tip to carry bags etc. only one person on duty - stuck on at front desk - at all times.

Review 7:Location, charming old building recently renervated.

Review 8:Parking is an issue; asked for a parking place at the hotel while making a reservation and nobody called later to say there are no parking places available that night.

Review 9:Excellent location, clean and comparetively spacious room.

Review 10:Nessebar royal palace was a pleasant surprise. It looks much better than in the pictures on booking.. The room is big and comfortable, the furniture is almost new, the bathroom very clean! Breakfast can be improved, but all in all we had a great stay.

Review 11:Lovely hotel in the centre of of the old town. Very clean and beautifully decorated. And always made welcome and looked after by George in the restaurant.

Review 12:The attitude of some staff from reception was very disappointing.

Review 13:The hotel is placed in the Old Nessebar and is surrounded by many shops and restaurants

Review 14:The reception staff are unable to provide correct information about the bus schedule to other cities

Review 15:Excellent location with a lot of shops and churches nearby

Review 16:This hotel is right in the center of the old town of Nessebar, and has everything you need at a reasonable price. There is no elevator, but we requested and got a hotel on the main floor. The restaurant is quite good.

Review 17:A bit hard to find. You need to turn right immediately as you go through the barriers into the old town. It is then about 50m from there.

Review 18:We had a lovely, bright room in the attic. The hotel itself was well presented and location was perfect. Breakfast was basic but generally good. We would definitely recommend this place.

Review 19:Mattress had seen better days and breakfast could have been a bit more imaginative. No kettle in the room!

Review 20:Value for money, easy parking, helpful pleasant staff. Lovely room

Review 21:- very good location, great view from the attic rooms towards Sunny Beach shore - free private parking - very nice rooms with new furniture, very clean bathroom - very good quality and rich breakfast like a 4* hotel - very good value for the money

Review 22:Nothing. Ничего.

Review 23:This is very nice hotel. Clean room, comfortable bathroom, the girl on reception was very friendly. The hotel has its own private parking. Breakfast was very-very good with fruits, eggs, plate of different meets and cheese, and desserts. Location is perfect.

Review 24:Only the fact that the hotel doesn't have rooms with sea view but if you don't care about this everything else was perfect. Also note that it's quite a walk to the beach it was taking us about 20-30 min every day to reach it which wasn't that bad but just bear it in mind. If you want a hotel close to the beach you have to select one in the New Town.

Review 25:The hotel is situated right at the center of the old town but despite this it's actually quite quiet. The rooms are well decorated and very clean. Internet connection was good. Breakfast was also adequate, based on the reviews I was expecting something really bad but as a matter of fact it was OK for the type of hotel you are in. After all this is not a 5* hotel so you can't expect the same abundance and quality. Our room was facing a nice basilica and the hotel restaurant which was not ideal (I was really missing a sew view which I don't think this hotel has and for this reason only I would probably select another hotel if we go there again). Considering that the Old Town of Nessebar is closed for cars unless you have a card to open the barrier, the fact that the hotel is having it's own parking next to the hotel and providing cards to enter was a huge advantage for us. However don't think that getting out with the car and coming back to the hotel would be easy. To do so you have to pass right through the pedestrian area making sure you don't hit any of the tourists on your way :). That's why we decided to avoid going around with the car. Overall we were satisfied with our stay at this hotel.

Review 26:The staff at reception were not particularly well informed about the town and did not know where the bus stop for Sofia was located.

Review 27:location excellent. The restaurant is first rate, with good service.

Review 28:Wi-Fi worked only 3 days out of 17 in our room (it appeared to work better in the reception). I spoke to the staff but the problem was never resolved. The staff are either fantastic (Nelly on Reception, Stoyan in the Restaurant) - or simply unhelpful (Petio on breakfast). Breakfast was okay, but often when items ran out, they weren't replaced and we had to ask Petio to assist - this wasn't limited to food items, it included no plates, no cups, no water in the kettle, no cutlery). Petio would do this without even speaking or apologising. Sleep every Friday and Saturday night was disturbed by loud dance music coming from nearby New Nessebar up until 6AM. My Father was kept awake all night and thought that it was the staff downstairs playing loud music so went to complain but the receptionist pointed out that the music was actually coming from half a mile away! It was so loud that his bed board was echoing to every drum beat! There is a mini-bar in the room - but no price list - we needed to ask. Mosquitos and bugs! I killed 13 in our room during our stay, so it's probably advisable to take a plug-in mosquito device.

Review 29:The location - fabulous - right near the very centre of old Nessebar. Some members of staff - Nelly on Reception & Stoyan in the Restaurant - should be commended for being very friendly & extremely helpful. Wi-Fi - it's free but didn't work in our room for most of our stay (see negatives). We were greeted by a friendly Nelly on Reception even though we arrived at the hotel at 1:15AM. The bed was comfy, despite the bottom sheet being too small (double on a king-size bed). Some of the rooms have really nice views of the sea (ours didn't unfortunately, but our friends' rooms did).

Review 30:Breakfast finished at 10am and staff were keen to clear all tables, so latecomers were left with very little choice or non at all, including tea or coffee. Depending on the day, one of the staff was downright miserable and couldn't be bothered to brew up any more coffee or refill a kettle, whilst another could not be more helpful and cheerful and would stay to have a conversation with you. Sunnybeach is just across the bay, so be prepared to put up with lots of thumping bass coming over the water at weekends, all through the night until 7am.

Review 31:Excellent location in Nessebar, close to many amenities. Very clean and facilities excellent apart from the poor and sometimes non existent Wi-Fi. Plenty of choice for breakfast. Reception and staff were generally very good as were their communication skills.

Review 32:Breakfast was basic and at times the young staff seemed more intent on having a smoke than ensuring the good, tea and coffee were kept in good supply. The wifi wax very intermittent and only worked in reception or just outside

Review 33:Old Nessibar is enchanting with it's cobbled streets, the sea, good restaurants. The hotel is ideally located and has lovely spacious rooms that are kept spotless by the hard working cleaning staff.

Review 34:The orange juice and coffee at breakfast was not very good. And it could be more choice. The sound of seagulls in the morning, but that's not the hotel's fault (:

Review 35:We spent six nights in this beautiful place. Everything was great. The location, the room, the staff was very friendly and helpful. The restaurant was also excellent. Thank you for everything.

Review 36:I honestly have nothing to complain about.

Review 37:Everything was amazing. Everyday our towels were changed. There weren't a lot of breakfast choices but enough to not get bored in 5 days. The location was great, right in the middle of the island. You are given a card from the reception that grants you access to the old town.

Review 38:The staff are really bad at their job.. first i requested a king size bed and they gave us double beds.. second i requested late check out in here when i booked and 2 time from the lady and she told me "sure ..i'll inform my other colleague in the morning shift" at 12 the door was banging from the cleaning lady .. asking us to leave .. while the "do not disturb" sign is out there ..

Review 39:Its in the old town.. and close to everything in there

Review 40:Not very helpful staff when you lost something in the hotel, they even did not take a note of my phone in case they find it. It looked like they found and did not want to return. In contrast, e.g.. in Ukrainian hotel in Morshyn this spring people found my phone number, call me and returned golden jewel after two weeks after check-in.It was indeed client-oriented hotel.

Review 41:Location is very good for romantic travel or for travel with children from 6 years (since need to take a 15-30 minutes walk to sandy beaches). Good atmosphere around the hotel. Plenty places to have a dinner outside.

Review 42:The breakfast was quite poor, as the location is quite central it was quite noisy at night so we had to sleep with ear plugs

Review 43:The rooms were clean and cosy, nicely furnished. The location is good if you want to go for walks in the old town, the restaurant downstairs was very good.

Review 44:There was a very bad smell due to the old (I assume) sewage system. It was almost impossible to even enter the bathroom. Also, the cleaning ladies were not very serious. We found a cap from other guests between furniture in our room. Also, the kitchen sink or bath-tub had hairs on them.

Review 45:The furniture and decorations were very nice. The hotel has its own parking, which is a plus point for this small island.

Review 46:no objections

Review 47:Very stylish hotel, with classic wood furniture located in the middle of the old Nessebar. Everything is new and clean. The terasa and restaurant are very nice and the little church near the hotel gives you a warm feeling. During the night, the lights projected on the church offer you a special view. The rooms from one side have sea landscape and from the other side offer you a pleasant scenery to the little church Saint John the Baptist. I fully recommend this hotel to everybody.

Review 48:Wine and beer prices were high, but the quality was excellent

Review 49:The decoration is beautiful, staff very friendly. The hotel is spotless from top to bottom. Our room had a balcony, and it was lovely just sitting there watching the world go by.

Review 50:"Bad drains"smell in the bathroom and hit and mis Wi-Fi.

Review 51:Excellent location in the centre of the old town, handy for everything. Comfortable rooms, good breakfast, friendly staff. And free on site parking.

Review 66:Breakfast always the same and poor choice, basic one.

Review 67:Location is great, nice furnished rooms.

Review 68:Great location and good value for money. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The included buffet breakfast was great too.

Review 69:A little tricky to find..but good location

Review 70:- light breakfast (basic); - wifi not functional; - staff not English speaking.

Review 71:- location; - spacious room and quite huge balcony.

Review 72:Location in the town

Review 73:Ok. But that's it, Ok. For the money it's ok.

Review 74:crowded

Review 92:One of the most beautifull room I have never seen.

Review 93:The price is very high. And definitely this is not the most quite place

Review 94:Nice location with a romantic atmosphere in the rooms and corridors

Review 95:A double sheet on a king size bed...lots of fights over the ownership of it!

Review 96:Location was amazing! Lovely staff and good breakfast.

Review 97:Some rooms apparently are very noisy in the night because of loud music from nearby restaurants. Up to 4 AM.

Review 98:Location, very cute place.

Review 99:Problem with internet access. Tough to reach with a car although staff was helpful.

Review 100:Excellent location, friendly and helpful staff. Very good breakfast. When in Nessebar this is the place where to stay.

Review 101:the nearest beach is 15-20 minutes walking

Review 102:great location near the marina plus nice balcony. unique interior design of public spaces. parking for guests.

Review 103:No elevator, no international television channels

Review 104:In the island, but complex to obtain the pass to park the car. Large room for 2, modern bathroom, good breakfast

Review 105:My balcony was right over the restaurant terrasse and the climatisation system and it was noisy when I opened the window.

Review 106:The room was very nice and comfortable.

Review 107:Insufficient parking spots The nearby church was being renovated while I was there

Review 108:Great surroundings and lovely atmosphere especially for those searching for a romantic stay

Review 109:Stayed 2 nights, but somehow the room was not cleaned the first day. Breakfast is ok and served, but you cannot choose or add anything. The room had no balcony, but some do.

Review 110:Almost everything was next to perfect! Highly recommended.

Review 111:The staff courteous and friendly, particularly at reception. The price was excellent. The hotel is well placed. The hotel is well maintained and clean

Review 112:Front desk, although kind, was not very helpful regarding parking indications. No elevator, but it's written in the property description. Basic breakfast, bread&spread and some omelette. Could do a little bit of advertising of their restaurant, maybe it was good but no menu on display.

Review 113:Really nice location. Very clean and very comfortable, with a good attention to details. Very comfortable mattress, definitely not a cheap one. Nice location. Overall, go without hesitation!

Review 114:Overall the staff was not very friendly (with the exception of 2 of the young ladies at the reception who were nice and polite). Breakfast was not up to a standard with awful coffee ( if what they had there could even be called that). The waiter who was there most mornings looked always pissed off. A shame really - such a nice hotel but managed poorly.

Review 115:Great location in the old town of Nessebar. The hotel itself is very charming.

Review 116:Made a booking via Booking.com and we purchased a 'suite'. Theroom we were given at the hotel I would not describe as a suite rather astandard room with a balcony. Felt a bit conned. Needless to say theroom we were given was nice and we were happy with our stay.

Review 117:Rooms cleaned to a high standard.Hotel Decor very nice Staff friendly and attentive.

Review 118:- very unpolite staff - very poor breakfast - awful coffee - avoid atic rooms as they has no window, you feel like a in box - no lift and the hotel has 4 floors - avoid this hotel as much as you can

Review 119:location

Review 120:Plug sockets came off the wall, extractor fan in bathroom didn't work! No plug in the basin!

Review 121:Great position, close to the sea and the town/shops.Lovely rooms with balconies, and en-suite bathroom or shower. Great restaurant with friendly staff

Review 122:The location was great, the rooms were cozy and the atmosphere homely. We loved the stay, Lovely Breakfast, friendly staff. I want to go back there again

Review 123:Slightly predictable breakfasts, and euro-pop music played too loudly in restaurant/dining area (which we could hear from our bedroom). Hotel should instigate a music policy with periods of quiet so that guests can relax without distraction.

Review 124:Nice, well-decorated, spacious, and spotlessly clean room, and good central location. Friendly and helpful staff.Overall, a very positive experience.

Review 125:Far away from any decent beaches 30 minute walk Smell in bathroom No views or balcony from attic rooms which could easily been fixed with a better layout of window. Noisy fridge Evening staff (graveyard shift) seem to be very bored and unhappy. Hotel to try harder to help her find fulfilment in her work life.

Review 126:Location was great for the old town Very tidy and room cleaned daily and new clean towels daily The main waiter in restaurant is excellent - he tries hard to make people welcome and the food is good enough.

Review 127:I came back around 3am and there was not even a single person around toask about hotel directions, I was walking around the island for about20minutes till I find my hotel. Very very noisy birds and makes itdifficult to sleep. No lift or billboy , have to carry your baggageyourself to 3rd floor walking up the stairs.

Review 128:Location is in the middle of the old town and I believe it was thebiggest of the 3 other hotels in the old town. Reception staff veryfriendly and helpful.

The Fine Print

Please note that the property has no elevator.
