Reviews for Hotel Terra

Review 1:Couldn't pay in USD (in order to avoid tourist tax) and instead used bad exchange rate that added 15% to cost. No electricity in the morning. Couldn't access hotel by road due to road works.

Review 2:Limited natural light in some rooms that I looked at.

Review 3:I like the breakfast area on the roof and as it is mild then it's ideal for breakfast. Also the staff were helpful.

Review 4:We booked a double room but when we arrive they only had a twin which was small with no window but the next day we moved to a double which was much nicer and we extended our stay

Review 5:Really comfy room, clean bathroom with powerful hot shower. Lovely roof terrace in a good location.

Review 6:Not really a problem for me but there is no elevator.

Review 7:I had a very good, comfortable and clean room with bathroom on the upper floor at the street side. Since there were road works (July 2015) no traffic was possible and it was very quiet at night. The location was good at walking distance from the beautiful and atmospheric center of the old town. Shops are not far away. It’s possible to walk to the bus station but it’s not exactly nearby. During my stay of two days I met three different staff members at the reception. They all spoke English. The man I met when I arrived was very friendly and helpful and gave me a lot of useful information. He really wanted to give me the feeling of being home. That was really nice and a reason to go back to this hotel if I would ever visit Iquique again. I liked the breakfast (a small buffet but quite adequate).

Review 8:Too small even for two slim people. Only a window opening to a tiny yard. A bit claustrophobic.

Review 9:Location close to centre. Staff willingness to change our room after it's been infested with ants

Review 10:- very small room and bathroom (fat people, beware :)) - no elevator - thin walls/windows (couldn't sleep due to noisy neighbours) - no safe - no restaurant (only cafe with snacks)

Review 11:- modern design - clean - breakfast on the roof was good - english speaking reception - good location near center and turbus bus terminal

Review 12:Staff in reception when we arrived had virtually no English, but tried to be helpful. Provided an information sheet which was only in Spanish. Breakfast was very limited until three quarters of an hour after official time, but unfortunately our taxi arrived and we had to go.

Review 13:Good location, new and clean.

Review 21:Our room was in the front so heard lots of noise from traffic.

Review 22:Nice modern room!

Review 23:Room was too small, didn't have basic tea coffee facilities in the room, you had to go down stairs every time. Breakfast was ordinary. We ended up making our own. This is our opinion, some people may like the breakfast.

Review 24:Location was good, close to centre of town. The room was cleaned everyday. Staff are friendly.

Review 25:Some (not all) of the staff were rude. The rooms were very small. We gave them our washing. Two days later it still was not done and we had to check out. They gave us the pile of our washing, soaking wet, and directed us to the nearest laundrette to dry them ourselves before we got on the bus to leave. Very poor and unprofessional service.

Review 26:Two of the staff were pleasant. One was helpful.
