Review 1：I had the idea that somebody had occupied the room before us: there were too few towels, there were other people's bathgels in the bathroom, the curtains did not hang as they should, the bath tub could not be used because a tap was broken.
Review 2：The location is wonderful and breakfast was great.
Review 3：Receptionist carried on with telephone call for several minutes while Iwaited to check-in. Credit Card handling was manual - he recorded carddetails for subsequent charging - a good job I was was using a corporaterather than my own card! The card operated door lock for my initial room(115) failed to operate requiring 3 trips up and down to reception forme and the receptionist. Finally I was moved to another room (216) thishad only one curtain so I had a quiet, but well illuminated night. Bedwas very soft so my back was not as it should be in the morning. Luckilyit was one-night only otherwise it would have meant moving elsewhere.The company I was visiting in Tournai indicated that this was notexceptional and that this hotel has a bad name among their visitors.

Review 5：Small rooms and generally pretty shabby throughout the hotel. Staff weren't particularly friendly and didn't seem too bothered about 'people'.

Review 7：The hotel is very shabby. The paintwork is in need of renovation, and overall impression is of a run-down hotel that has once seen better days. The owner can't even be bothered to populate the hotel's own website. On arrival, the receptionist told me that they had no record of our booking. I was too tired from a day's driving to make an escape, but I wish I had done so.

Review 16：re the hotel, the plastic card system to enter one's room was a niggle. Every day we had to get staff help to get into the room.
Review 17：It was pretty convenient to the places of interest but still has some way to go before one can say it attracts tourists. It is however investing millions in this old city. There are large areas being re repaved right now and huge restoration programme ongoing with the cathedral both inside and out.

Although not causing us any significant problems, the sound proofing between rooms and room to corridor is not great.

Helpful and pleasant staff with a good drinks service at a reasonable cost.Size of room adequate for our short break. It was quiet and overlooked the rear courtyard and cathedral. Recently decorated in a traditional rather than contemporary style. Bathroom large, clean and simply decorated with a curiously eclectic mix of complimentary products.

Didn't want to pay 15 Euro for this. Went to buy some breakfast stuff at local supermarket and this did the job. Bathroom accessories; the bottles left around the bath should be remove and the hotel should use the same as for the shampoo. I don't understand why there is no shower/bath gel in the small basket which look pretty nice but shower/bath gel missing around the sink? Some maintenance need to be done such as sorted out the curtains as they do not fit correctly. Also could smell the sink drain in the bathroom.
Review 43：Location : right in the city centre - Able to check in even with an early arrival. Overhall, I would still probably use the hotel again as I just needed somewhere to sleep as I was out most of the time to visit friend.
Review 44：Bathroom was ridiculously cramped with stuff in strange locations for example, not possible to reach toilet paper whilst sitting on the toilet. Interesting collection of items in bathroom including Brylcream and other bottles that rather looked like left overs from previous guests. Carpet 'clean' but looking tatty. Toilet not quite horizontal which was rather strange.

Review 46：1) the food was excellent and the ratio pricequality was outstanding. 2) This hotel has a total price/quality ratio which I never found before and I travelled during 50 years to the top-hotels of the world. I never had this quality at this price and in this type of location.
Review 47：We were originally offered a room to the rear of the hotel which was quiet; but the curtain only covered half the window. After complaining, we were moved to a room overlooking the square, where several bars had loud rock music until after midnight. Not good when you have a 7.55am train to catch. We generally felt that the place was a bit tired and needed to sharpen up a little for the room rate.
Review 48：The hotel is centrally located in a lovely square to the North of the Cathedral and close to the riverside quays. The staff were helpful and pleasant. There are good restaurants and bars nearby. Tournai is a stunning Flemish town with striking architecture.
Review 49：Rooms too hot and if you open the window the bar outside is so noisy, and the traffic crossing the cobbles so loud, you would find it impossible to sleep ! We complained 3 times about drunken teenagers on our floor banging on doors, clapping and singing in their room and generally making a noise ! The night manager was not very helpful. We got hardly any sleep at all ! Not recommended unless you are a night owl...... Whatever you do, get a room facing the back of the hotel, not overlooking the square, which magnifies any noise outside the front windows.

Review 51：The room at the front was incredibly noisy if you kept the window open.Poor lighting so difficult to read at night. No mattress protector onthe bed and the sheet kept slipping. Went out at 9.00 am, returned at3.30 for a rest but the room still had not been tidied so felt obligedto go out again. No prioritising for those staying more than one night.

Electricity was down on my second day of stay, complete dark in toilet (need to use my own touch), WiFi was disconnected. Review 115：Our room, in spite of being a non-smoking room, had a really smokey smell. the bathroom was very small, with electric fittings being poor. the room was dusty and only had one side of a pair of curtains, which didn't fully cover the window. On our last day, no-one had made up the room by late afternoon. When we could get back in after it had been made up, the electricity to the entire room did not work, and could not be fixed. We had to move all our belongings to another room, this time one that was fresh smelling, which had a spacious bathroom. The first room should not have been let out. If only we had been given the second room straight away! The breakfast offered a fair choice but a lot was not very appetising.

Review 118：Location is excellent, 10 minutes from station and 5-10 from centre and the museums. it is on a square away from main roads, and very little noise gets in at night. There are several restaurants and bars on the square or near at hand, including those at the hotel. We had a pleasant and relaxed stay.
Review 119：Breakfast at 15 euros was a bit expensive and the hot food not replenished, just scraps left at 0830 hrs. You may wish to try breakfast at one of the many coffee shops in the main square which is within easy walking distance.

Review 127：The parking arrangements do not need to cost 15€ a day. Better information could be provided for parking outside the central zone, and even within the zone (directly in front of the hotel)you can simply pay the two short periods when there is charging - a total of €6.50 a day.
