Reviews for Comfort Inn Regina
Review 1:the bed was not made properly, the duvet was put on the wrong way.could stand to have another chair in the room.
Review 2:was very quite ,but there was not many people in the hotel.
Review 3:When we arrived to check in the hotel had not received your confirmation of our booking although I had received mine - it took over 1/2 hour to check in During that time a man walked in asked for room for night and he was checked in within minutes - we were not impressed with the wait
Review 4:Sewer gas smell coming out of bathroom sink. Large stain on carpet in our room.
Review 5:Staff was pleasant. Coffee room open 24 hours and free hot breakfast. Handy to have microwave and fridge.
Review 6:The doors really bang when people are going in and out. Starting at 6:30 in the morning, the traffic was really heavy and the banging doors were a real nuisance.
Review 7:Rooms are very comfortable and the beds were excellent.
Review 8:Room had no towels in the bathroom and had not been cleaned properly. Sticky glass rings on the furniture and the dust on the lamp bases was not a recent layer. When I went to the front desk to get some towels I was given 10 wash cloths and 5 bath mats. I was offered another room but declined since we were too tired to move. We just used one of the numerous wash cloths to clean off the furniture. Bathroom was only moderately clean.
Review 9:Location was very handy to many restaurants and stores. Close to Trans-Canada Highway. Breakfast was reasonably good but selection very limited.
Review 10:Construction works staying could be less noisy, but they need a place to stay too.
Review 11:Clean and comfortable bed. Oh and did I mention the streaker crossing the back parking lot. He attempted to hit command start of his truck, however hit his alarm that got my attention to look out the window. It was 8:00 AM!!!
Review 12:Splurged for the king Bed and it was hard as a rock. My husband and I woke up with a terrible back aches. Not soundproof, could hear people walking and talking up and down the stairs and in the hall by our room all night and morning. Was not worth the money.
Review 13:Staff were friendly, good location
Review 14:Room had not been vacuumed, had an odd smell, Coffee pot was moldy, phone jack had been ripped out of wall and loose wires left dangling, carpeted border was ripped off wall in spot leaving sharp staples (really only a baby hazard)
Review 15:Size of the room, Décor, staff was very nice.
Review 16:The only problem I had while staying there was I paid to have a late checkout and was disturbed twice WAY BEFORE the time I was to check out. I found this quite upsetting. Communication between the ladies cleaning the rooms and the front desk should improve.
Review 17:I found the staff very helpful as I had not been to Regina in sometime and they helped me figure out exactly where I wanted to go.
Review 18:Having to pay to change your room when booking on line.. We noted that we were bringing a pet and agree to pay the extra fee for the dog. What was a surprise was the 10.00 fee to move to a pet friendly room. After complaining this was waived... Thanks but added some anxiety to the check in.
Review 19:They did not have my reservation booked and guaranteed through Booking.com in their files and, Booking.com apparently does not answer their customer service line after hours on the weekend. Luckily the hotel did have an extra room, however, it was the " rent this room last" one or "nosiest room in the hotel. It was the one "next to the slamming outer door, coke machine, mechanical room, etc. etc." The room was very small also as a portion of the standard room had been taken up by the mechanical room and service entrance door.
Review 20:They honoured my Booking.com reservation rate even though they did not have my reservation from Booking.com in their reservation computer.
Review 21:Booked a king suite, got there and they gave us a double suite. When questioned the staff member said they didn't have any per friendly king rooms. A phone call would have been appreciated to inform us of this.
Review 22:Clean and good breakfast
Review 23:Rooms were dirty, no sweeping around the corners. Front desk staff at check in spoke poor English and couldn't answer the simplest questions. Breakfast was 20 minutes being set up and ready. Walls are very thin and you could hear everything. The requested wake up call was never given. The "no smoking" means smokers just receive a room on the 1st floor with a patio door. This now becomes a smoke free room, but the smoke still enters every crack and air vent in the place leaving the second room floor smelling like stale smoke. PS the TV reception, I don't know if it was stolen or what, but it was awful. The screen looked like a winter wonderland with all the snow. I tried to save a dollar and learned the hard way, just pay for quality.
Review 24:The bathroom sinks were new as well as the breakfast area.
Review 25:I arrived Saturday late afternoon all was well I went out to visit and got back late going right to bed. I woke up in the night and was cold tried the heat with no luck. In the morning I callled the desk several times with no answer, went out to the hall and found a girl who came to try to help with the heat and said it was not working. I called the front desk again and finally got an answer - a gentleman came down and tried the heat - but it never came on. I called again and I was then moved at 10:30 AM to another room - which was right at the front and noisy but it was warm. I am not sure if I was in a Deluxe Queen room for $305.97 + 13.5% tax = 346.66, but when I checked out there was a different charge for each night for a total of 323.97 + tax. = 367.04. I also thought that there would have been some sort of discount for my inconvenience of no heat and waiting till after 10 to get settled in a new room so that shower and get on with my day.
Review 26:The staff were very accommodating and very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was hot and very good
Review 27:The bath tub was missing a stopper (bathing that kids) so my husband and front desk had to launch an expedition to find one. Breakfast was disgusting. The waffles wouldn't come out of the iron, bacon & eggs were greasy & lacking flavour. What really got me though; being charged over a hundred bucks a night to serve myself breakfast with paper plates! No class, and talk about environmental impact. The only thing that redeemed brekkie was the sweet & helpful attendant.
Review 28:The room was accessible through a sliding door- made loading & unloading our various necessities for 2 kids under 3 very easy, and for taking the dog out. The room had a good layout with lots of floor space.
Review 29:I didn't realize there was no elevator, and the rooms weren't as updated as I would have preferred.
Review 30:The staff was amazing. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. As a mother with two two year olds we felt very welcomed.
Review 31:Booked a queen size bed on booking.com when we got there they have ourroom away gave us two doubles instead when we report we wanted a queengave us a different room when we got there it was now one double bed.Argued that's all they had. Never again'
Review 32:Nothing......
Review 33:Broken door to the washroom. Room was very warm and difficult to regulate. Air conditioner was very noisy. Beds and pillows were awful.
Review 34:Location Front desk staff. Breakfast. Clean.
Review 35:When I arrived, the reception said they do not show my name as being registered. It turned out, I think, that booking.com had not advised my hotel of my reservation. I had received a confirmation number from booking.com.....fortunately, the hotel had a room available, whew!....and the very pleasant fellow at the front desk said he will try to fibd out the reason why their hotel had not received notification of booking.com's reservation/confirnation. ...I did not receive a reason, becayse i had to leave for another city the next morning, perhaos the front desk person, change of night shift?, was not aware I was to be provided with the feason why my boking had not been forwarded to the hotel.....anyways,ma huge relief i got a room, as i am a solo senior, very tired, on my way west to look after a very ill relative, needed sleep pronto.
Review 36:every staff member was sooooo professional, friendly, and good hotel for a quick stop over to sleep, bathe.
Review 37:the Wi-Fi wasn't working for 3 days !!!
Review 38:I like the place , nice location and the stuff are very Nice and polite and the breakfast was okay except for the sausage its not good at all
Review 39:The beds were not very comfortable. There was no Wi-Fi as I was told before I booked the hotel. I booked for a wake-up call for 6:00 AM but got that service at 6:30 AM after I had woken up.
Review 40:The accessibility of the property to the city centre.
Review 41:The desk service was poor. They couldn't find my reservation and offered no solutions. I ended up solving the situation myself, after an hour another desk person came on duty and helped me, he had better customer service. Key cards didn't work in doors, had to get reset 4 times, very inconvenient. Used front doors instead of doors closest to the room. Line ups in the breakfast area. Had to "order" the hot breakfast, ran out of food.
Review 42:Comfortable bed. Hairdryer in room clean enough.
Review 43:Bathroom fan was very noisy and did not do anything. Breakfast was to be ready at 7:00 AM but was not. Server was running around very disorganized. Could not wait, and by 7:20 we had to go to a local restaurant.
Review 44:Location. Recently renovated. Price.
Review 45:We had our cat with us. She ended up smelling like smoke. The room reeked of smoke. It was supposed to be a non smoking room. We had booked a regular room and had to be changed to one which they allowed pets in. The room smelled like smoke and I didn't sleep more than three hours.
Review 46:Breakfast
Review 47:outside side doors would not respond to key card....our room telephone did not work...messages did not get thru to us and wake-up calls as well.
Review 48:week-end breakfast person was great ......and most of the staff were very helpful
Review 49:The rooms were clean, the bed ad pillows were very comfortable and the employee running the breakfast room was a amazing. She ran to make sure nothing stayed empty and that there were eggs and sausage for everyone. My only suggestion would be more towels when someone has a family booked.
Review 50:The toilet in our room ran constantly. When I reported it they offered to change rooms but I chose not to. We had a room at the far end of the hotel and the WiFi was spotty.
Review 51:The location for our purposes was great. The breakfast was enjoyable.
Review 52:room upon entrance reeked of a stale smoking room much like a Saturday night pub on a sunday morning. it was absolutely GAGGING. I had to spray the carpet beside the bed with window cleaner to be able to breath beside it. Can't even describe how stomach wrenching the stale smoke smell was. They were booked. Clerk didn't care. Morning fellow however DID care and reduced the cost.
Review 53:bed okay
Review 54:There was nothing that I didn't like about this hotel.
Review 55:I like the location of this hotel, right on the Trans Canada hwy. Clean and comfortable, which is typical of Comfort Inn.
Review 56:Wi Fi was down the whole stay Walls are somewhat thin -a problem if noisy neighbours
Review 57:Front desk clerk Vik was very helpful, and .moved us to another room when noise levels proved a problem. The breakfast was excellent with lots of healthy options
Review 58:The toilet was very bad and smelling. In fact there was poop in it. The room was supposed to be non-smoking but it smells like the last guest just finished smoking.
Review 59:The staff tried to help.
Review 60:See above...
Review 61:Very clean, friendly staff. Breakfast sausage was horrible, totally could not finish my breakfast. Have managers try sausage patty. Change brand......
Review 62:Maybe the hotel could have been identified because there was road construction from the main highway
Review 63:The staff were very helpful. My wife and myself arrived early, there was a room available.
Review 64:Bad and good. We had disturbances in the late evening. The good part is it was well taken care of by the evening staff
Review 65:There were good restaurants near-by.
Review 66:The guest before me might have smoked a few darts in the room so there was a faint smell of smoke but that is beyond the hotels control.
Review 67:I was able to park my truck and trailer right out front on the service road. I didn't have to park blocks away. Plus a Chinese buffet right next door, good eats.
Review 68:That you had a sentinel guarding the sausages. I am allergic to eggs and dairy so one of the few things i can have is breakfast meats. I have never seen a hotel staff the breakfast nook to hand out ONE sausage per person.weird.
Review 69:Bed. And bathtub was comfortable
Review 70:It was very easy to find and access, though we didn't shop huge mall across the street.Lots of choices at breakfast as well as sausage and scrambled egg.
Review 71:They served day old coffee for your breakfast. Breakfast at 7 and fresh coffee at 8. I still can't believe that they did not empty the coffee pots from the day before.
Review 72:Location, Parking
Review 73:Wifi cuts out & requires repeated login. Kitchen opens @6:30 or 7:30am which is too late for me, I'm already on the road. Price quoted through Booking.com was less than actual charge at end of stay.
Review 74:Great staff, clean rooms, ground floor has patio door access to parking. Good access to restaurants & stores in area.
Review 75:Was not informed of extra charges for pet upon checking in and informing staff of us having one. A room rate was given to us at this time but extra charges were asked of us when checking out. Desk staff at this time did not in the end charge us the extra pet fees.
Review 76:Curtains didn't totally block out the street lights. Breakfast isn't really free however it is very reasonably priced
Review 77:Beds comfy, good room layout
Review 78:staff were either on cell phones or non existent room was freezing cold turned on heater and had to listen to that all night because it couldn't warm up the room had a flight to catch at 6:00 a.m. couldn't even get a cup of coffee - building smelled bad we used to always stay at a comfort in but will not make that mistake again
Review 79:absolutely nothing
Review 80:Staff was not as friendly as I would have liked to see but you can't judge them all by ones actions, there was unfortunately a lot of noise from inebriated construction workers who's rooms seemed to be scattered throughout the hotel, but that's not entirely their fault.
Review 81:Great value, nice up to date rooms and comfy beds. Good location with great amentities, and above all else it was very clean!
Review 82:No elevator for the old or whom can't use stairs, so must pay extra to stay on ground floor. Don't want to give you the booked rate unless you stand up to them, good thing the manager was there and she looked it up and fixed it right away, but the clerk wasn't going to do it.
Review 83:Breakfast, room size, fridge, microwave, coffee pot closet.
Review 84:Not a big deal but I couldn't get a bottle opener at the front desk. TV did not have any HD stations and the analog reception was quite poor.
Review 85:Decent accommodations at a reasonable price. Clean updated rooms.
Review 86:The tub was dirty with hair stuck in the drain that made it difficult for the plug to sit down properly for a relaxing bath.
Review 87:Sharon was an absolute professional with compassion for a slight hiccup in my situation. She was accomodating as well as understanding. I will stay at this hotel again.
Review 88:Toilet wasn't cleaned properly Place smelled like someone had smoked and they tried to get rid of it,but failed
Review 89:Location good. Breakfast OK
Review 90:There was nothing
Review 91:We liked the breakfast; cleanliness of the room; quiet air conditioner. We were overall very impressed with the hotel and would not hesitate staying there in the future.
Review 92:My bed sheet had a blood stain on it, that grossed me out, and the heating or A/C unit made a very loud buzzing noise that kept waking me up at night. That was very annoying.
Review 93:Location was close to where we were visiting. Breakfast and lobby staff were great.
Review 94:Price is comparable to others but I still felt all hotels in Regina seemed pretty expensive.
Review 95:Good location as you enter Regina close to all restaurants and shopping that you can easily walk to.
Review 96:I liked the new furnishings, the staff, cleanliness and the breakfast has more than everything you would want to eat and drink. The waffle iron is an obvious bonus for fresh waffles.
Review 97:Probably the hotel is showing some age. I didn't like the square sink. The dining room was crowded and it was hard to find things without asking.
Review 98:The hotel was clean and the service was efficient and business-like. The shower was one of the most pleasant ever. The breakfast met our needs and desires.
Review 99:No elevator!! Loaded up the luggage card only to find out we couldn't get to our room on the 2nd floor. Really big deal when you are a single parent traveling with kids.
Review 100:Had a fair price and included a hot breakfast
Review 101:The wifi wasn't working. Wouldn't normally care but this was a business trip and was told there was nothing they could do. That's all that they said, no rebate even though they sell the hotel as free wifi.
Review 102:Newly renovated room
Review 103:Just one night they forgot to give us new coffee and cups and water but I know if I would of called the front they would of brought us some
Review 104:My wife has a broken foot and they gave us the room to make that much easier to use
Review 105:We were given poor directions to get to our room, there was no elevator, and when we arrived at 3:30, the hallways were lined with housekeeping carts taking up 2/3 of the way and it was unbelievably difficult to get even a single suitcase through. Plus we had a child to bring through! And when we asked the housekeeping staff for directions they responded like we were an annoyance. We will not be staying there again.
Review 106:There were extra towels in the room.
Review 107:The "hot" continental breakfast was very poor with few options. Did not like using all disposable plates and utensils. What happened to going green? Our hotel room was nice but nothing special and overall very overpriced. It seems that way everywhere though...
Review 108:The modern rooms and bathrooms were clean and nice
Review 109:Requested non smoking room, but the room had at one time been a smoking room or the previous guests had decided to smoke, regardless not worth the money to sleep in a smoke smelling room...
Review 110:It was convenient and quiet, bedding didn't smell like smoke & decent wifi services.
Review 111:Awkward to find
Review 112:Good breakfast
Review 113:The staff were great! Very friendly and very helpful. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable.
Review 114:The bed was horrible and very hard
Review 115:The desk staff were good
Review 116:breakfast was boring - plain and about as nutritional as a piece of cardboard...
Review 117:No hot water during the day Heat in the room was difficult to regulate
Review 118:If only there was an elevator, it would be even better.
Review 119:Noisey during night
Review 120:Hot continental breakfast was great! Convenient location off of highway
Review 121:little insects on the bad
Review 122:Near to all shopping stores
Review 123:Very good breakfast
Review 124:There was no facial tissue. Some staff(pregnancy) was terrible service and rude.
Review 125:bed was good, having a breakfast bar is a plus for sure. Parking was free an plentiful.
Review 126:Internet is horrible
Review 127:Shower was lukewarm, towels had some frayed edges.
Review 128:There are lots of restaurants in walking distance.
Review 129:Washroom had a peculiar smell when we arrived. Breakfast was over too soon for us. Had to eat elsewhere after 10:00 a.m.
Review 130:Price
Review 131:No elevator and the toilet wasn't working properly.
Review 132:Staff was nice and moved us to another room as there was issue with our first room.
